TonyeBarcanista:She has intrigued herself why can't you do same Tamunotonye. What you did by posting unverified reports is wron. But if you feel you have done no wrong , post your name. |
I think what they do is take a little commission on payouts. Overall , I will say slightly better than recharge card biz. Experts pls come shed some light. |
midnighter:You just made a big point here. It's actually the thick , long black ones. The short ones are more decent. The fixing is another thing entirely too. Some look so ugly that one wouldn't want to have eye contact with the wearer. From the adhesive work to the balancing /blending. Some look too rough and loud. |
Benbisco:Fake eye lashes is also prominent in the list. It's a major put off for me and most of my friends. Tbh, we see girls who put them on as oloshos. I have seen many guys say same here too. |
The assertion that FFK is on drugs is sadly an accurate one |
It 8s obvious sir. |
Deomovies:Hey Bro, am not in lagos. How do we connect? |
chozzy:I Don park. you wan enter my moro? At least these cows mean well unlike the ones whose lives are more valuable than humans. |
Nigerians will know the difference between the dark age and the Buhari's time when he leaves office. Like gov Obaseki of Edo, buhari does not brag about so many things. Kudos on this milestone achievement Mr President. |
AnthonyAk:The monorail was conceived poorly but the govt should have sourced for Chinese or other sponsors to complete it. For the trans Amadi road, yea wike did well to complete it but one of the most important part of that road was an interchange at garrison. This was done away with. Without sounding support for amaechi, you will agree with me that if amaechi was the gov he would have done the job as prescribed. |
Longeria:You should be talking about wike who abandoned every significant project amaechi started. Is it rainbow town, timariv, RSSDA/ Overseas scholarship, monorail, model primary schools and secondary (world class) health centres etc. Look, minus play, Wike plays too much eye service politics. Pple will not know this till much later. Looking at the trans Amadi road amaechi started you could see how they have altered the plan just to reduce the actual cost of building that road yet awarded cost went up. BTW, does any of you know what govt expenditure is in rivers state. Too much rot in rivers all you see or hear is bling bling. |
Seyeblessed:God bless you Sir. Pple never really give a thought to the reason why we suffer so much constructional mishap in the first place. If you take your time to look at the constitution you will discover from the surface that it is an OK document. Now, go back and look at the clauses and verbiage only then you will understand why we are in such muddy waters. For this I will side with buhari. |
kinibigdeal:Bro some of this guy's are hatred personified. They will insult you if you try to reason with them. Ever wondered why they believed buhari was cloned. Anything to put the president down makes them happy. It's not a matter of enlightenment. Go to Facebook and see what supposed learned and exposed pple write about the president. Trust me, 90% of the comments did not even read the full story. They most likely do not even know the contents of these bills and why they were rejected. |
mungoparks:The guy na Big Ozuo. |
orion7:You have said it all. |
The west opened their doors for these guys to come in for a reason. I hope the west achieve what they set out to achieve in the end. |
JasonScoolari:For your mind na joke u joke so. Like say the kpians wey dey your town dey make pple rich. |
udemzyudex:Your level of assimilation is pathetic. Stay off my mention kid.. |
Obaseki is a big blessing to edo pple. I hope other governors will learn from his actions. |
MyMouth:You are right Bro . |
vladimiros:You can only speak for yourself and maybe those around you. APC got more votes in the SS and SE this 2019 than in 2015. If the pdp will win the presidency in 2023 it will not be because of the number of votes the APC get from your region but because of the votes they lost in SW and the North. |
Too many children on this forum. If the pdp say they have the results from the server it is a criminal offence to start with. It's like your creditor or landlord or just anyone present something referring to your statement of account without your consent or a court approval. It is criminal to do so. It doesn't matter if the person is right or wrong with the figures. That document for whatever purpose it was meant to serve died the very moment they called it out. It is only inec or a ethical hacker (approved auditirs) that can do that. BTW, the figures are even ridiculous to begin with. |
Prodigytal:The society is so rotten that the person might be kidnapped. If he survives the herdsmen he may not escape the kidnappers. To get pple into farming the govt must play its part. A secured and friendly environment is starting point for any economy that wants to grow. |
Eco101:The word RESTRUCTURE is big with far reaching implications. This country has been restructured a million times one way or another but we still clamour for restructuring. Let me mention a few areas we had it in the past yet no impact. 1. 13% dirivation. 2. Sales of govt assets/privatisation. 3. Payment of security votes directly to states. 4. Payment of taxes by resident companies /organisation to host local govt/states. Establishment of the NDDC, Ministry of Niger Delta, North East Commission, amnesty etc. Alot of pple use the word like the sky will not be blue anymore or the air we breath will become filtered. All of these things I have mentioned above are geared towards good governance. They are all suppose to meet the needs of the common man. My question to those who want restructured nigeria is, IN SPECIFIC TERMS TELL ME THE AREAS WE NEED RESTRUCTURING AND THE IMMEDIATE OR LONG TERM GOAL OF SUCH ACTION. |
No wonder obaseki is called the wake and see gov. The whole of edo can attest to his fidelity. BTW, his nickname is "wake and see". |
Personally I do not see any politician in edo state that can unseat obaseki at the moment. The HoA 21/21 was because he went on air to appeal to edo pple to vote in Apc so as to continue his good works. Even Oshiomhole is careful how he deals with obaseki. The man is just out 9f this world. |
The development of the Benin River Port and Access Road Project will attract over $500 million Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) between 2020 and 2023. The project which is rated as highly economically viable will drive import and export, create tens of thousands of of jobs and catalyse an industrial revolution in Edo State as well as increase spontaneously the value of landed properties especially in Benin City and many parts of Edo State. The project is in three scopes: 1. 49.45km Dual Carriage access road from Port Location on the Benin River cutting across Gelegele town, Ekenhua Road into Ikpoba Okha communities to Sapele Road Intersection (By Pass) 2. A dual RoRo and General Cargo Multipurlose Port 3. General Dredging and sweeping of the 40km Benin River Channel from approximate Port location to the Atlantic Ocean at the Jakpa Axis. Job creation potentials of the project is streamlined into ship channelling, dry dock services, container repair facilities, freight forwarding, Internal Container Dry Ports and Freight Station Operations, Logistics and distribution as well create opportunities in inland water freight and passenger transportation, passenger cruise facility, hotel and hospitality industries and tourism. Also human capital development opportunities in Marine Navigation and Engineering Careers, Marine Environment and Hydrographic Surveys and other businesses like insurance, banking, law etc will flourish with the commencement of Port activities. HISTORY OF THE PORT There have been several attempts for Edo/Bendel State to own a Port. The first was in Shagari's administration in the early 80s where a Port was planned in Gelegele town to boost international and West African regional trades. Rather that a Port, a Jetty was built in Gelegele town. The Project eventually could not serve it's purpose. Second attempt was in the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan where NDDc sought the services of a consultant Krys Epas to for Feasibility study and design of a Port at Gelegele. That endeavor stopped at recommendation by Kris Epas Consult which advised the Port should be sited at Gelegele environ. The recommendation was later put behind as it would have cost extra $200 million for dredging of the Osse River and Escravos River Channels and billions more annual sweeping cost. Lastly was in 2016 when His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki came into office. He assembled a group of maritime and engineering professionals to come up with a recommendation for the development of a port. The technical committee soon came up with a viable recommendation which advised among other things that the Port should be sited on the Benin River 27 km away from Gelegele town. It also advised that the Port Project should be designed with economic viability and sustainability as its guiding points. The new location which is just 27km from the Atlantic Ocean on the Jakpa Axis will save a cost of about $200 million Dredging cost and billions of naira annual sweeping cost. The recommendation was rated as highly economically viable. Since the Port was now to be sited on the Benin River and no longer in Gelegele, the name automatically changed from the Gelegele Seaport to the Benin River Port and Access Road Project. His Excellency upon receiving the recommendation then engaged and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Harbour Engineering Company Limited, a Frontline global Port Construction Company presently engaged in the development of Lekki Deep Sea Port. Since then many Project items have been completed that will ensure the success of the development of the Port. PROJECT ACTIVITIES COMMENCED AND COMPLETED 1. Technical Report on the Port Project 2. Memorandum of Understanding with China Harbour Engineering Company Limited 3. Soil Test (Geotechnical Investigation) for the project area which comprises of the 74km long Escravos River Channel, 27 km long Benin River Channel and 49.45km long access road 4. Topographic Survey for the Port areas which gave an idea of the best exact location for the Port to be sited 5. Bathymetric Testing for the 74km long Escravos River Channel from Benin River, Nana Creek to the Atlantic Ocean on Ecravos Axis and 27km long Benin River from Young Town to the Jakpa Axis on the Atlantic Ocean. The purpose of bathymetric testing is to ascertain the exact width length and depth of both River Channels. 6. Conclusion of Feasibility Study for the Project. 7. Design of the Access Road, Port and Dredging for the Project. The Port is designed to be a multiple purpose RoRo and General Cargo Port with capacity to relieve Lagos State 30% of its cargo throughput. 8. Signing of Contract between Contract between Edo State Government and China Harbour Engineering Company Limited for the construction of the project. 9. Environmental/Social Impact Assessment for the Project which is over 70% completed. Under the ESIA the following activities have been done, viz - Preparation of maps for the entire project areas showing all the communities to be affected (for enumeration) - Preparation of field sampling maps for all the required parameters - Preparation of Right-of-way maps for all the proposed access roads to facilitate ease of enumeration - Preparation of contour maps for the entire project area to aid road design - Completion of Project Registration Form and payment of Registration form to the Federal Ministry of Environment. - Preparation of Terms of Reference for the Study - Preparation of scoping and screening report for the project - Forward the TOR with the receipt to the Federal Ministry Of Environment (Proponent) - Site Verification and visitation by the Federal Ministry of Environment - Stakeholders Workshop involving all the affected communities to review the Terms of Reference, Scoping Report as contained in the resettlement action plan (RAP) with Federal Ministry of Environment and Edo State Ministry of Environment in attendance - Reconnaissance Survey to reconcile the Sampling Map by physical verification WHAT ITEMS ARE REMAINING? Visit Host Communities to obtain Freedom to Operate (FTO) Certificate Enumeration affected persons, farms, fish ponds, buildings and other physical structures to be affected by the Project Compensation and ressettlment of all affected by the project FINAL STAGE: The final stage of the project is the construction stage which is scheduled to commence in 2020 and delivered in 2022. The time for the Construction is 3 years only. PROJECT SPONSOR The Project is to be sponsored by International Finance Corporation, Edo State Government and Federal Government of Nigeria with the International Finance agency responsible for majority of the funds. mrvitalis:As things stand today, I will say yes. But let's wait to see what happens in the coming years. You never say never with nigeria. Politicians. |
Slazim:Did you also noticed how the op tried to give jonathan credit for it. |
AutoReportNG:Wetin jonathan come dey do for the matter na. Only u say dem Don dey operate for more than 10 yrs yet you still find space put jonathan for 2013. Shey for your calendar 2013 till now na 10 yrs? Sometimes, it's better to stay off trivialities. Mentioning jonathan in a matter which ordinarily shouldn't concern him only exposed your true intentions. |
TyrantInAsoRock:I agree with you. My little worry tho is the fact that the north will control things for a long time to come. Assuming, the apc fields a southerner, the pdp will still zone theirs to the north. This will still give the north an edge. The first thing in the minds of the poltical gladiators is to grab power. How they do that doesn't matter. They just want power and then the clock starts counting from the beginning again. |
TyrantInAsoRock:I understand what you mean brother. Bit I do not see a Kwankwanso ticket as a good one for the pdp. What is happening in kano is simply voter apathy. Most of the pple stayed away from the PUs. The win margin is too small to make any significant conclusion for the red cap god. Just try to imagine what it would have been had the ganduje video not emerge. |
