Horrific! Nigerians killing their fellow Nigerians, while d leaders enjoy their freedom to do whatever they so desire, at d expense of d masses. Oh God Almighty, where ye at? |
Here in Benin-City, I saw guys burning tires at Agip junction on Sapele road & threatening people driving by and those on Okada. An unfortunate bike man was receiving d beating of his life & being dispossed of his belongings, I hope he's not been maimed already. |
Happy new year to everybody, lecturers & students alike. May we have cause to learn more this new year, amen. |
This is really coming out nice. Welldone bro & more blessing! Pls I'll like to ask, on what basis did u negotiate d labour cost with d iron bender & d carpenter, is it a one off thing or based on the quantity of materials used? Like say per number of iron rod bent? |
dady2011:@daddy2011, can I pls hv d ur contact phone no? I nid info as regards getting a plot of land at Amagba, that seems to b d happening place now in Benin. Pls send to awa_24@yahoo.com. Thx bro. |
GEJ is doing his best to answer d questions, to d best of his abilities. His presentation might not be that coherent, but he's trully passionate about Nigeria. |
@Vitodorado, that's really sad. I'm sure the so called lease will run into millions when calculated. The funny thing is the elders are also afraid of the youths, their children. So, there's really no one to run to in cases like this. All d best bro. |
vitodorado:Great thread people. I also have an ongoing project at Ekai II, off Sapele Road. I envy you guys as the Ekai community youth are very terrible and greedy! First of all, I paid a whooping sum of 215K for Youth & Elders settlement on a 90 X 100 sqft plot out of which only 180K reflected on the receipt. Afterwards, once they noticed you have started something on your site, they'll come back with series of ridiculous levies like, Crop (paid 30K - two different groups), Road Levy (paid 15K), Street levy, (just heard about that today). It's really sad how the community youth treat people at Ekai, I almost changed my mind about the project but for the advise and encouragement of an elderly colleague, also an outsider. I feel it's my responsibility to warn those that might be planning on having a building at Ekai Community, be ready to spend, shout and form 'Agbero' as they'll surely rip u off and make your life miserable! |
I use quickteller to pay my DSTV subscriptions, no hassle to date. |
May d Almighty bless all that have contributed in cash & kind, amen. Pls send me d local Acct details. Thx. |
I like this, funny but true. rman:For me: Qur'an Rich Dad Poor Dad Richest Man in Babylon 48 Laws of Power Be Your Own Boss etc |
Go to the link below to answer all your questions. http://www.ptdf.gov.ng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=105&Itemid=196 All d best. |
Great speech, may our leaders have d courage & fear of God to fulfill all ( or most) of their promises, amen. Happy 51st independence to all Nigerians! |
Spending N30M on the dead when the living cannot afford three square meal, very sad indeed. Used to think this Ajimobi guy is a mesiah, the chosen one, but unfortunately he's like his predecessor. Only God can save us from these hypocrites. |
Some people also pronounce 'Chevron' as 'Shevron' |
wellscon:Yes o! We need more Proffs in Elect. Engr'g and the Uni as a whole. Come to think of it, y are there less number of Proffs in Engineering compare to sciences? Just wondering. |
I used to love my '02 Accord until d Gear box begins to mess up. Now I look for any slight opportunity to drive wifey's Toyota - chilling AC, smooth drive but higher response time. |
spyder880:Thanks my oga. What we know, we learnt from u. As long as u keep teaching us, we'll keep learning. |
spyder880:I doubt if that will work the magic. Another thing that might affect the color of the finished product will be d water used in molding. Using muddy water could affect the color too, I suppose. |
spyder880:My guess, the white ones are made from pretty white sharp sand and the brown blocks from brown sharp sand. Correct? |
vitodorado:Please how much does processing of Governor's Consent cost in Edo state? Thanks. |
vitodorado:Spot on brother, carry go! Coincidentally, Mr George surveyed my plot too. A piece of advice to those who'll be surveying their plots soon, try and be on site while it is being done, very very important. Cheers. |
@vitodorado, nice work u're doing here. I'm another prospective landlord in Benin, will be glad to learn along with u guys. I have a few questions though, 1) Is there any reason for using 6'' hollow blocks rather than d common 5'' solid block around here for a bungalow? 2) Y do u have so much pillars for a bungalow, are there loads other than the roofing the structure'll be carrying? Thanks bro. |
Eid Mubarak fellow brothers & sisters, may Allah make our feet firmer on the path of Al-Islam, Amin. |
Hatred! That's all I c in all these posts. People can't reason logically because of deep-rooted hatred for Islam. It doesn't start today & neither will it end until the end of time. But one thing is certain - Truth will overcome falsehood! |
I feel you man!. You are absolutely right. If we want peace in our land, we should accommodate the less privileged. It is right to employ the best brains, but that should be for highly technical areas. Some jobs do not really need high IQ to perform. I have a friend who works in an oil firm (Adax), his duty is just monitoring the wheal heads and take the reading in the hydrometers installed there. Certainly that duty does not require top flight graduates, anybody can monitor wheal heads and read meters. The boy is getting a fat salary and bonus like other workers there. So less qualified graduates can be employed and given such rolls.

'Well head' brother, not 'wheal head'. |
Roland17:I say amen to that! |
