Shout out to uber drivers driving throughout the night...
TGIF... One of my favorite days on uber is friday.
Target today is 20k plus I started late(10:30 am) by now have done 15k plus...

I bought 2 Corolas last 2 months for Uber business and I handed it over to someone a driver I met during my trip to South Africa,
Since May till yesterday, he was supposed to pay 400k but he gave excuses of traveling to the village. Then thank God for the trackers, I tracked one of the car and found it at Eko hotel Victorian Island and I arrested the driver and he brought the 2nd car today.

The sad thing is that, he managed to pay 100k today and as I am writing this, the 2 cars are in my house and I don't have any faith in continuing the Uber business and I don't mind selling both cars at reasonable prices and move on.

Lol, the reason is because, what most prospective driver partner read and hear about Uber is not what they actually get when they go into it. Driving Uber has a lot of disadvantages than d benefits. Uber is an Under paid Job or biz any reasonable thinking fellow would want to do for now. I was once humble and quiet when I got in, I then realized that this SHIIT is not what doing especially when u re doing weekly delivery. No profit. No savings. Work from morning to midnight and u earn 8k - 12k at most, remove fuel money and call card money, I am left with nothing more than 2k -4K. I still have to feed from it. Coke and gala on d steering with other junk foods. Immediately I resigned I fell sick due stress

It's was really terrible experience.

Quit and do something else. Uber is more than picking or dropping people. U need to work smart...

Sell the Camry 2010 and buy a corolla 2003/4/5. Save urself from heavy maintenance cost also drivers prefer corolla because of fuel economy and will deliver more with corolla...

In my own opinion and with my experience as a UBER Partner, i wouldnt advise a new entrant to invest too much in the uber business unless he intends driving it himself.

A lot of things are just wrong and uber seems to be deaf to all the complaints. Now, the new trend is that you have to go through a drivers agency to get a driver to get your car And the service isnt free.

As a potential UBER partner, do not just be deceived by the weekly rentals, also consider the following:

1) Car Maintenance
The heavy amount you will spend in fixing your car on a periodic basis. My Car is a Tokunbo Honda 2008 and its very clean, but even with that, i still spend a handsome amount on a monthly basis.


2) The Drivers.
Whether you like it or not, you are at the mercy of these guys especially now that most of the transactions are cash based. Most of the drivers that will apply come in with humble face and promises of living up to your expectation, only for them to run away after 3 weeks, and guess what you will be lucky if he drops any rental for that week? And Uber being smart have absolved themselves, they have already taken their 25% while you the car owner have nothing for that week.


3) Insurance
Be smart, get a comprehensive insurance. The car doesnt belong to the driver and most often than not, he drives it recklessly. If an accident occurs, he most likely will not pay. so simply close your eye for the insurance and let them carry that worry on your behalf.


I wish all UBER partners will act in one accord and pull out their car even if its for just one week, at least that will force the uber management to listen. But i guess this is a wishful thinking anyway.

Honda accord 2008 is not a good car for uber.
The maintenance cost is high and the car isn't not strong for the work
I drive uber and I can boldly say its fantastic..

Taxify fare is just too reasonable. At d end u can fix ur car if anything happen to ur car. U can feed ur self and family. But useless uber, u can't do any reasonable with there peanut cos u and ur car must have been exhausted b4 u get 14k.

Because u aren't smart. Uber is for smart guys who understand that driving on uber is more than picking and dropping people...
