Music/Radio / Re: Who Knows This Song: "God Do Am For Me"? by ogunwalea(m): 5:18pm On Dec 24, 2022
It’s by Faith Ajiboye. Follow this link to listen to the song. I just did.

https://m.facebook.com/rccgabia3masschoir/videos/do-am-4-me-by-faith-ajiboye/125168547832915/

I just felt an heaviness in my heart. I feel pain and shame because I feel I’m due for a miracle. I know God owns time and God’s time is the best but I trust him with the whole of my heart that I’ll testify of my miracle.

God resurrected the little child and not the apostle

Glory be to GOD

Brother, Apostle resurrected the little child, not God. God is up there resting, and so is Jesus. Heb 4:10. Their works have been perfected on earth and has handed over to the sons of God, which are the believers of Christ. Jesus' work on earth is finished and that's why He gave us the power to raise the dead, heal the sick, set those in captivity free and preach the Gospel. The name of Jesus is at work to call on things that are not as though they are and we've got the holy spirit working for us. He activated his faith and that's why he's praised and the glory is to God. So brother, activate your faith!

2. The person who made money how much was he paid?

3. The person who started education who taught him?

4 The first person to have a degree who was his teacher?

if you don't know it, please feel free to ask another person.

Well the man looking for a job sounded highly unproffesional. Imagine saying something like this to a potential interviewer " and I am supposed to start preparing to come for interview tomorrow?" Grow up man, you are not talking to your friends or relatives. something in the line of " I just got the invite and I am currently not in town, can I reschedule?" Their answer will be a simple yes or no abi? Abeg how did you apply sef because people are looking for work ehen

baba shey you dey hear yourself sha? Or you need feedback or combo to hear yourself well? This is business, strictly business. What you just said applies to someone desperate to get a job and can settle for anything to have the job. The organization ain't doing a favor with the job. You're serving the organization and respects for both entities must be highly observed!

Lol... Thanks for making laugh today bro.

You probably didn't understand my point.
The fact that you are with sinners doesn't mean you are a sinner.
The perfect example is our Lord Jesus Christ. He wined and dined with sinners such that the scribes and Pharisee were like 'what!!!'
Being unequally yoked with unbelievers is another thing entirely bro.
The fact is too many people have misconceptions on what spirituality means and it pains me alot gan.
We can't discuss it all on Nairaland tho.

We're talking about marriage here Bro? What could YOKE mean if not talking about a lifetime union? I understand your point about the pains of people's misconception on spirituality and it's same for me when people apply spirituality when common sense is needed...

The fact that someone married a fornicator doesn't have anything to do with his/her level of spirituality.

Like seriously? Then for the fact that you steal, lie or fornicate doesn't have anything to do with your level of spirituality. Is it not written in your Bible not to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever? I doubt if you really are a Christian and its so obvious that you are a church goer...
Religion / Major Mistake Made By Christians by ogunwalea(m): 12:08am On Jul 09, 2017
Being spiritual does not mean that you should suspend your brain"

Pastor Sam Adeyemi just hit the nail on the head with this statement... Most Christians now are so engrossed with this spiritual thing that they forget that they are humans. Can you just imagine, a lady who caught her fiance having sex with his blood sister and still went ahead to marry Him claiming God will change him later. After the wedding, he was caught on several cases with the maid and other ladies. Now the lady wants a divorce. It's just not making sense...

Bishop Oyedepo once said "The reason why God gave us brain is for us to disturb Him less..."

My fellow Christians, let's stop disturbing God with prayers over silly things that common sense can solve... God has better things to deal with rather than dwell on your stupidity...

I won't want to talk too much. On this note, I rest my case! I'm sorry if I'm too harsh with my words.
Happy Sunday guys!

Fine, shit happens sometimes. The fact that you do everything might not guarantee you of being posted to a better place and I'm not disputing the fact that you shouldn't find your way... It works well when you know the right people at the top. But as for me, I never saw anyone nor tried to work my way out... I simply traded my talents with the aid of my instrument to get what i wanted. I got the exact place i wanted.

I was in camp for the last stream and most of those that participated in the camp activities were posted to funny places. Both the parade commander, the most beautiful, Mr Macho and the likes were posted to some funny LGA 's.

If you read through my initial post, you'll see that i said that "You stand a better chance of being posted to a better place". I never said it's 100% guaranteed. So watch and reason well before you start antagonising every post you see....

Abeg Batch A 2017 prospective stream II corp members don't me mis-informed... Joining band group does not mean u will be posted to a good ppa. Participating in all d camp activities does not automatically determine where u will be posted to. Anytin u do in camp, do it for d fun of it not for good ppa... The only tin dat matters is dat u knw ur way I.e know d right ppl at d top (most ppl dat ask u to bring money to be posted to gud ppa in camp are scam artists so beware).
During my set d overall parade commander dat wanted to kill himself with marching and oda camp activitiea was posted to one of d worst lga's in d state...

Bro, you talking like you're serving in all the states simultaneously... Do you serve in Kwara State? I am the president of the NYSC Band Kwara State and i won't come here and say what i don't know. Anyone qualified after Trainings and thorough evaluation will join NYSC State Band and automatically be posted to the capital. After all, not all of them will be qualified but those who have their musical instruments and can play well have better chance of being qualified...

Religion / I Owe Mike Aremu N6000 Since 13 Years Ago... by ogunwalea(m): 10:47am On Jul 01, 2017
Today, I have summoned the courage to pay.

Mike agreed to play at my debut concert for 30k on November 28, 2004, but I was only able to pay 24k (which was a sum of loans I took from over 20 people), I promised to balance him the remaining 6k at the concert venue. The concert was supposed to be a fundraising event to raise 4Million Naira for the musical equipment I needed to float a music training project. But during the concert, after the envelopes had gone round, I called one of the ushers and asked "how much came in?" It felt like the cold hand of death hugged me when she said "4000 Naira sir". My bowels started purging, and I prayed for a moment, "God pls let this be a dream". But then I knew it was reality as Mike Aremu was already looking in my direction and giving me signals. The concert was only halfway into it's program, but I knew danger was looming as everybody - from sound engineer to decorator had cash balances to collect. As a smart guy, I took the 4k from the ushers, I looked left and right and sneaked out of the hall; I ran swiftly out of the compound, cross the road to the other side and hopped on a bike. The aboki asked "Oga where", I said "just dey go front, make we commot for here first". That was how I escaped home and switched off my phone! My mother and siblings suffered the consequences after the show.

Stop laffing! It's a serious matter!!

13 years down the line today, thinking back, I realized Mike Aremu gave me my first biggest boost and support in showbiz. I needed to organise my debut concert and at all cost I wanted an A-list artist as the headliner, but I couldn't afford one. I approached over 10 big artists, non accepted to perform for a low fee. At the verge of giving up, one Sunday after service in House on The Rock (then at the Muson Center) I approached Mike, with doubt knowing he was the hottest solo instrumentalist in the country then (signed to Kennis Music). Mike simply asked me "how much do you have?" I was afraid to make an offer because the least he was booked for then was around 400k, but I summoned courage and said "30 000 Naira". He smiled and said "ok I'll do it". I was embarrassed! That was too huge a favour that I still can't explain till date, cos we had not met before that day. Mike didn't only accept that token, he also showed up for every rehearsal and came early to the show, performing for over 45 minutes.

It was through that singular act of favour of 13 years ago that I experienced my first major failure in showbiz and learnt the preliminary principles of success in music business.

Mike Aremu is an amazing guy: he is kind, he is is one of Nigeria's finest musicians in terms of skills, professionalism and personality. Mike Aremu is an under-celebrated hero: he is a trailblazer - he paved the way for today's commercial solo instrumentalists in Nigeria, yet unassuming and down to earth.

I celebrate him and appreciate him today for that seed of encouragement he gave me 13 years ago. That event was a big defining moment for my career.

My hope is, after he reads this, he will cancel and forgive my 6k debt: as it is written "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors".
