@ I was there as an election supervisor duly chosen by an NGO. U are missing the point. Its not "gloating" per se as u think but the joy that from now, people can select their own representatives and no longer have candidates forced down their throats!
I think the comrade governor knows the expectations of people from him so lets support him in whatever we can.

Apart from the fake INEC staff, Fake presiding officers name were discovered by AC agents at Fugar. The names of ward 5 units; 1, 4, 5 & 6 were discovered to be fake. Ward 8 units 1-5 were left blank. This discovery was made in the presence of PDP state Secretary; Nosa Adams who still insisted on them being used. However, the INEC staff on ground was used to replace these people. An attempt was made to snatch a ballot box at Ogbona. This attempt was foiled by the youths. The attempt was led by an ex deputy governor and a top member of the legislative arm.

The Action Congress Party yesterday defeated the PDP in the Etsako Central Re-run Elections for the Edo State House of Assembly seat in Edo State. In an election that was generally regarded as being peaceful, the Action Congress won with7, 884 votes. The PDP had 3, 712 votes. ANPP 1 vote and DPP 6 votes. Mike Ogiadhomhe and even the PDP state chairman (?) Dan Orbih lost their wards to AC!!!
Though it was generally peaceful, there were a few incidents of attempted rigging which the security agencies quickly nipped in the bud.
08.30am: Voting materials departed for the various polling booths
09.45am- fake polling agents posing as ANPP agents are arrested at a primary school at Ogbonna.

Source, if u keep in touch with the news, you will be aware that there is now a new Compol and INEC boss. Part of the duty of the governor is to ensure security of the citizens. How secure can they be with thugs welding guns on election day because of lack of adequate security?

The question is- WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE FORMER ONES?
HOW COME ITS ABOUT 72HOURS TO THE RERUN ELECTIONS THAT INEC HEADQUATERS AND POLICE HEADQUATERS decided to make these changes simultaneously?
First, the military was withdrawn and now this?
See the pattern of series of desperate attacks by the PDP?
Come saturday, it will be war between people of Edo State and Anenih.

please dont dabble into issues you dont know. The JTF has been withdrawn. Its common knowlegde!! Maybe its the reactions from the general public that is making general abbe to now retract his earlier statement.
Bottomline is JTF was withdrawn and the question is- WHY WOULD ANYONE WITHDRAW SECURITY FROM AN ELECTION RE-RUN?

Recently, the military was directed to stay away from Etsako Central LGA during this forthcoming rerun election. Why would Gen. Abbe using the Ministry of Defence, in connivance with Anenih pull this stunt if not to pave way for their thugs to use guns to rig elections? It is to allow influx of arms and suspected thugs into the area for the Saturday January 23, 2010 election.
When the military is being asked in other places to be on guard to prevent violence from breaking out, Anenih wants them out so he can do the ONLY thing in life he is good at- CHEATING!!
Everything u think of PDP, they are always up to no good. But this time Anenih has met more than his match!
Come saturday 23rd, the people are set. The battle line is drawn!!

I think it is very pertinent that the governor responds to the antics of the PDP or it may give the impression that they are right. 2ndly, Comrade Oshiomhole has performed well. He may not have done as much as people want him to, but he has surely done more in ONE YEAR than EIGHT years of the unLUCKY governor and 18months of the clueless professor of Law

Anyone who visits Benin City today would be amazed at the massive re-design of the city. Most places that were built on government roads, have been taken down so that the proper masterplan for the city can be effected. Street lights have been installed and more are being installed. Yet a few people are screaming blue murder simply because Comrade Oshiomhole has decided to take the bulls by the horns.
I think he is moving in the right direction.
