I don't think this kind of discussion should lead to any sort of argument.... And moreover, is the traditional wedding not enough to make her your woman already? ![]() sylvestersamuel: |

My goal is to apologize to all the face I share memories with. I really need a good job this 2020. God can you hear me! Hello God! Are you there? Do you ever listen? Hello God! And just when I was lost in thought, the school's security man bragged in and shouted my name, "kasim, what are you doing here naked ?" In utter disarray like a pack of pigeons, I stumbled on pile of benches. They all triped over each other and made me feel a magician. "Dad sent me out without letting me pick a pin from his house". Uncle Matthew: "well I wouldn't blame him, you are not worth a thread." "I thought you had a boutique? No sir I don't, I was told to be saying I have a boutique ". Uncle Matthew: " haa! Really! who"? I replied, "You won't understand sir". "Kasim, you are a man now. you will soon be 28 years old before June 2020 " " Uncle Matthew, I am already 35. Who is telling you all these information and trying to defraud me of my age"? Uncle Matthew stood with his mouth ajar. He quickly responded that we would he going to church together that evening. It seems the days are always faster when you want it slow. Evening came like lightening. I was introduced to Pastor Konami of SegaZegamega Church who said I should be absorbed into the Church's choir and seen as a brother and friend, but Shade scuffed at me with a heavy grunt squeezing her face in disgust. Shade was my secondary school Senior; a tad below intelligence, a tad below ugliness and she's best described as an "early comer", because virtually everything she did was always too early. A 22 years old proud mother of 3 children who patronizes my "5 naira weight lifting" business heavily. Church members contributed clothes for me including a well ironed choir robe. I wore it and with my height, I had a perfect semblance with "Egunu". A certain masquerade from NUPE region known to get as high as a NEPA pole as it rolls. And I did roll a whirlwind when Sunday came. After series of rehearsals with the choir and in my dreams, Sunday came even much faster but not as quick as the voice in my head. During praise and worship I was over joyed to see my mum in the congregation. "Today is the day", the voice in my head said. Then the program announcer thundered, "offering time, blessing time: blessing time, offering time"..... Stay tuned |
