Guys in Army anything is possible....but the norms is that any certificate not presented during the recruitment process is void... that's why they dismiss some soldier cadet during DSSC/SSC training...Army dismisses them days to POP

In the army there is what they call age on rank/number of years required to remain in a particular rank. If you exceed that straight retirement. Lt to Captain can't be 7yrs

Besides it’s Dssc’s first promotion and ideally, it shouldn’t even take up to 5 the same way SSC move from 2nd Lieutenant to full Lieutenant in 3 years.

point of note, not every promotion is 5years for dssc .....major to Lt col is 7 years , the new HTACOS divides it in such a way on your 35th year in service you should be at most a major General

Some used to spend 7yrs on Lt rank sef
They first consider RC n SSC, whatever slot that remains will be shared to DSS n EC
