(JollofNews) – President Yahya Jammeh of the Gambia has changed his mind again and has decided to stay put and defend his government.

Mr Jammeh was earlier reported to have accepted a last-minute deal brokered by Mauritania’s president, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz who was in Banjul on a day’s visit.

The deal included him going into exile in Mauritania.

He later had a change of heart and said he will only go into exile if judges at the Supreme Court rule against his petition in May.

A disappointed President Aziz left Banjul late in the night for Senegal where he held talks with President Mack Sall.

Mr Jammeh’s mandate expired at midnight after his surprised defeat in last month’s election by opposition candidate Adama Barrow.

He had vowed to cling to power after accusing the country’s electoral commission of rigging the election in favour of the opposition.

His attempt to overturn the election result at the Supreme Court has been delayed because of a shortage of judges as most of the judges come from neighbouring countries

Mr Jammeh’s refusal to step down has open the door to a Senegal led military intervention to installed Mr Barrow.

Meanwhile, as Senegalese and other troops massed on the Gambia’s borders, the country’s Chief of Defence Staff, Ousman Bargie, said he would not order his men to fight other African troops if they enter into the country.

“We are not going to involve ourselves militarily. This is a political dispute,” he said, after eating dinner in a tourist district close to the capital, Banjul, eyewitnesses told AFP.

“I am not going to involve my soldiers in a stupid fight. I love my men,” he added, stopping to pose for selfies with admirers while dressed in fatigues, beret and green t-shirt, according to those present.

Meanwhile at the time of writing this report, a Senegalese radio station is reporting that Senegalese soldiers have crossed into Gambian territory. The reporter said the heavily armed soldiers are entering the Gambia via land and sea.

The Nigeria Airforce, which is already in Dakar, is on standby and would be deployed to help neutralise any resistance.

It means you cannot use your Naira MasterCard to pay for Facebook Adverts. So, you have the option of applying for Dollar MasterCard which requires that you link it up with your existing Domiciliary Account ( or open a Domiciliary account) or use Paypal.

I understand your frustration. There is a new Corporate route for MTN that is DND free.

Your clients will need to apply with details of the Sender ID and message content.

PS: Our platform does not charge for messages sent to DND numbers.

Hello @barnabas91, if you are using SPC contact SPC Support via info@smsportalcreator.com .Next time NEVER give your Login details to ANY Provider/person. I suspect they have tampered with your component to prevent you from switching from their API.

SPC has this OPTION to enable prevention of API switching: Prevent Modifications to default API (IRREVERSIBLE): TRUE/FALSE
[i][/i] .As soon as it is set to TRUE, you will not be able to switch API again. This is probably what they have done and you need it reversed.

Pls am having a serious problem with my bulk sms site, it's a joomla site.
I actually gave a foreign service provider (name withheld) well known here my admin details to put their API, coz I tried and it wasn't fixed, he got it done, but to my greatest surprise, I couldn't find the GATEWAY API icon, that I could access when I want to add or edit any API there.
Pls what can I do, I still have my balance with my previous provider?
And I want to switch back to it

I can feel your pain. I have expended a lot of time trying to explain to clients reasons for REJECTION due to DND. We have also tried to provide a leeway out of the logjam. We should work around having a DND filter that will exclude numbers on DND list before messages are sent. I took time to checkout some DND checkers and found out that most of them were for Indian numbers.

am suggesting if a different thread can be created for bulksms site owners/administrators to help one another with information concerning their portals...

I have an old site Built with Joomla 1.5.26 and SMS Reseller (the one afrisoft sold at N25,000) there are a lot of user details and transactions on the site.

I would like to re-activate the site and upgrade it to the Latest Joomla without loosing the user details, transactions and messages.

Does anyone know the process for this?

Uber Nigeria has reviewed the requirements for cars eligible for their low-cost option, UberX. They’ve lowered them. Now, car models as old as 2006 are accepted. These vehicles include Toyota (Corolla, Camry), Nissan (Almera, Sunny), Honda (Accord), and Kia (Picanto, Rio) models. Previously, the oldest models that were accepted were 2009 cars.

Uber has also completely dropped mileage restrictions. This means vehicles will be accepted no matter what their mileage reads (that’s the distance the cars have covered). The previous mileage restriction was 100,000km.

These modifications are all part of Uber’s plan to get more drivers on the road. In March, they introduced Uber Marketplace, a platform for Uber drivers to connect with partners and get discounts and insurance on cars.

Over the past month, Uber has launched in more African cities; Accra, Kampala and Dar es Salaam. Regardless of the problems it may be facing in a few African cities, Uber doesn’t seem discouraged from expanding in Africa.

Hello @Lawyer. If one's Business name certificate is missing but he still has photocopies does he still need to request for a new one from CAC?

Sorry i havent gotten to you back for a while, i have been a little busy but i'll try to answer your questions as best as possible:

Generally all your documents have been burnt and the only way you can get them back is by applying for a certified true copy of all of them except the tax clearance and i am afraid its going to cost you a hell of a lot of money because this is what CAC prays for:

1. Firstly, you have to pay for company search to trace the name and certificate exists and you have to buy the forms and pay for search fees

2. To get the certified true copy of the CAC 2 and CAC 7, You have to purchase the forms, complete it, pay the prescribed filing fees and show evidence of your payment of Annual Returns

3.To get a certified True copy of your Certificate of Incorporation, you have to swear an Affidavit signed by a commissioner of oaths deposed to by one of the Directors

b. Write a formal application to the CAC to retrieve your certificate

c. Pay for the filing fees

d. Show evidence of your payment of your Annual Returns up to date

4. If you dont have a copy of your FIRS reciept, you have to pay N8,500 to procure a new one

5. To get the Memo or CTC of it, you have to show evidence of your annual returns, pay the filing fees.

To be frank, your going to spend nothing less than NN40,000-N50000 to get everything back into shape and thats including the proof of Annual Returns.

I am sorry mate but those are the rules

Its better to register a new one than go through these hassles because their fees fluctuate everyday. If you have a photocopy of it, it will make life better a bit but if you didnt make copies of it, you cannot escape these fees and procedures!

@enochogaga, thanks for your effort. Before you sent the pics, i got a technician who lowered the output/speed of the generator. It was actually high. The situation is okay now. The fuel consumption is now reasonable.

Good evening and thanks for the wonderful works you are doing here. We just bought a New Sumec ECO3990ES generator and the fuel consumption is so high. When we first ran it, it consumed 10litres in about 3 hours with 1 Fridge and normal home lighting on.

What do you think can be responsible for this?

This should majorly affect Marketing and Campaign messages. Message sent to Church Members, Customers, Parents/Guardians of schools, Students, Members of Associations will not be affected because the recipients have consented to receiving the messages.
