Hi everyone,
Awesome job you guys have been doing here.
I am an avid reader of nairaland albeit as a guest.
Don''t fancy some of the ethnic stuff that goes down here.
I need advise so I just created this account to ask it.
I got admission to an MBA program and just got my I-20 last week. I have fixed an emergency appointment for Monday as classes resume on the 28th.
A little background info now. I'm in my early forties and I work with a multinational in the food and nutrition sector. I currently am in IT but want to do an MBA so I can crossover into the business side of leadership in my organization. I have gotten a study leave from my organization(Have documentary evidence to back this up) and have the funds required to cover the entire duration of my programme (I own a couple of real estate and other business concerns which my wife manages). Apart from this I have two brothers who are citizens in the USA and I have visited a couple of times.
Will self sponsorship at my level mitigate against me? I will be staying with one of my brothers all through the programme as the University is about 10 minutes walk from his residence.
I just want to get a handle on what to expect from the interview so I can be prepared.
Will appreciate any feedback.
Thanks in ancticipation of your responses.
If you need any further clarification, please ask.
Thank you
