PoliticsRe: Colonel Ma’aji: The Alleged Architect Of Nigeria’s Foiled Coup Plot (pic) by ojtopsy: 11:08am On Jan 30
nairalanda1:
Omo coup would not solve problem in nigeria. Because most of your average coupists don't have any idea about how to fix nigeria, neither does APC or ADC or peter obi. Yes, I said it.

I would support any government, even millitary, if they come out and say that they are going to make Nigeria an industralized nation, and if they end wasteful subsides, except for education and health, and increase tax to gdp. No, I don't want APC...they are even wasting money with their renewed hope giveaway. grin

But Nigerians do not want hardship. They want a government that would make food and other things cheap, even if it means getting into more debt. Wahllai, nothing wrong with that, except that if you want cheap food, electronics, etc...that is done by being a nation that exports...manufactured goods and services.

I don tire o.
Your head is over correct. Shout this on the roof top. Nigeria needs production skills infused into industrialization to keep her population busy. Not just throwing money around. its about local content.

So after stealing from him, followed by massive disrespect for his family and the love of his life,. He should still see him as family. Hell no. You can't disrespect someone's marital choice and still be stealing from him. You must dey your dey. Some lines are not crossed. Even if you don't like my life choice, you must maintain dignity and respect. After all, it's my life and not yours. Every mallam to his kettle.

To summarise some key announcements:
-those already on a care visa route will be allowed to stay with and bring in dependants. Anyone switching to the care route (both in and out of country )from spring 2024 will not be able to stay with or bring in dependants.

In and out of the country...omo UK dey vex oh.

They want all students and dependent to go through the 2yrs postgraduate visa thing. And looking at it from the other angle since they are considering the 2yrs postgraduate visa for the brightest students then I must say they want people to go to their country after study
How did you arrive at the bold conclusion.

He has no point. Church can not pronounce anyone husband and wife. It's a mere publicity. Nothing biblical about it. Just part of the arrogation of power through the back door. Family pronounce. Court registers and church blesses and publicize it. That's the logic .

Let's start off on this note.
I will try as much as i can to answer some of your queries to the best of my knowledge
- is the suspension with pay or without pay. Expectedly, it's with pay.( without pay)
- is there a letter of suspension. If so, did the letter mentioned... suspension in view of investigation towards disciplinary hearing ... If the letter includes statement similar to the italic, you would be under the ambit of labour matter. Then ACAS becomes your go-to for advice or to lodge complaint towards employment Tribunal.
If not, you might have to go the Court route on civil litigation. Going employment dispute might work best though.

PS: Bigtt76 asked if there's a recording. Kindly answer this.
If you're unsure, you'll need to demand.
NB: it appears your friend has been opening his mouth too wide. In law, silence is golden. One does not go gara gara, especially the typical 9ja way.

Herewith within the limit of one-sided [audi alteram partem]
-- ex patient or service user raised a sexual complaint
At the time of the alleged incident, it the patient a subsisting patient or ex patient
-- against her previous carer
Ditto, at the time of incident, is she, the patient, ex or current.
Was the complaint filed while a patient or ex patient
Is the patient claiming she stopped/revoke the care service due to the incidence
-- since last year August and he has been suspended from work ever since ... till now the issue is still on the table
From Aug 2022, we are looking upward of 9 mths. That's gross. Can investigation takes so long, yes it can. Should it, heck no.
Bearing no unforseen or unknown fact, your friend is within his right to file (labour) employment dispute.
Link: ACAS: Investigations for discipline ...
Approaching ACAS should be the first step, however, in most certainty,
your friend might need a good employment lawyer. Obviously, not charge and bail!!!

-- mentioned hes schooling in a university,
As mentioned earlier, your friend must learn to be circumspect with words while not uneconomical or labeled as uncooperative. It's a balance within the ambit of ... reserve the right to be silent 😷
-- so they now went ahead to write the Uni to inform them hes under investigation so the uni asked him to stay away until he is cleared ... ... the police have been invited and they couldnt find any evidence of misbehavior.
In this instance, let your friend approach the university with the police report (findings). On the basis of ... innocent until proven guilty ... the university should lift the bar.
If not, your friend lodge a dispute with the university ombudsman (if there's one) and/or OIAHE: Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education
Let your friend read more from Office for Students - https://www.officeforstudents.org.uk/for-students/ofs-and-students/complaints/complaints-about-a-university-or-college/
PS: if your friend can afford it, let him approach the likes of HCB Solicitor (hcbgroup {dot} com).

-- that very week wahala started
You mentioned earlier that ... It took months for the details of the so called offence that led to safeguard was even known o ...
Which is which. Kindly clarify.

You may want to read these regarding rights during investigation
[1] https://castleassociates {.} org.uk/ blog/i-am-being-investigated-at-work-what-are-my-rights
[2] www {.} richardnelsonllp.co.uk/ what-are-my-rights-if-im-being-investigated-at-work/

The advice herein are not construed as legal advisory as contemplated in law
suspension was without pay
there was a 2 years gap between when they were having patient carer relationship and when the lift and allegation thing happened
the offence was not disclosed until several months so it took the intervention of afenifere and well-wishers co-workers before he even got a clue why he was suspended in the first instance.
she raised the complaint after the lift and not as a service user. there was a gap.
Once again thanks for your time patience and obvious display of intelligence. It is really appreciated.

If police didn't find anything after investigation and further injustice is still being meted out, go to court.

The problem now is the resources to go to court.
The process and cost is the impediment here. But if this is what will solve the problem please lawyers in the house lets hear from you.

Where was I making bants? Silly comment that should be directed at the OP who made the akata comment.

Besides people can only give detailed advice when in possession of more facts. You have given only one side of the story - your friend's. Why would his company be hell bent on destroying his life? is the patient taking up legal action against them? You mentioned that the police did not find any evidence of wrong doing so that should mean that the police investigation is over and his uni should be able to reinstate him on that basis.
Silly comments attack and counter attacks are recipes for thread derailment and banters which I dont want at all. thanks for your response.

Just in case there happened to be a recording, Who initiated the intimate discussions? The guy or lady?
The lady did but she was curtailed and dropped off. That was the narrative yet she still raised accusations knowing fully well that the law is on her side since she's vulnerable.

Good afternoon House.
please I need the best of advice/ideas to solving this problem before someone does what he no suppose.
An ex patient or service user raised a sexual complaint against her previous carer since last year August and he has been suspended from work ever since. We first thought it would be over soon that its just to do investigation and come up with findings which will either proof guilt or innocence. But loo and behold up till now the issue is still on the table. The last action that sparked outrage was during one session he was asked some questions in which he mentioned hes schooling in a university, so they now went ahead to write the Uni to inform them hes under investigation so the uni asked him to stay away until he is cleared. I cant stomach this injustice anymore. Please how does someone fight this kind of battle. It took months for the details of the so called offence that led to safeguard was even known o. the police have been invited and they couldnt find any evidence of misbehavior. Yet these people are hell bent in destroying a mans life. the only thing was that the girl was given a lift and the discussion was going intimate and he claimed he stopped it and dropped her off at the hospital and went his way. that very week wahala started and up till now na on top of the matter we still dey. No work since last year and the small consolation traing hes trying to do they blocked it without any formal conviction. this BS has to stop.

Please any great advice will be welcomed
Thanks.
