Point of correction, a pharmacist is not trained to offer alternative. That's the job of a Doctor. There is a reason why a Doctor prescribes a particular drug among many other options; judging from his knowledge of medicine upon history and clinical signs presented. A pharmacist job is to dispense drugs in accordance with Doctors prescription.
