Go to Settings ----> Scroll down settings to "Security & Privacy " and enter that -------> scroll to "security Wipe" ------> follow the instructions - type "blackberry" in d space provided.

Sit back n watch ur Q5 reset itself. It could take some time. Just leave it until it is done. Once it is done, phone will go off.

Power it on, and start the set up all over again.

Alright Boss. Do a Security Wipe Of Your Q5. That should reset your Q5 to its factory settling.


Forget the Back Up. Ur BBM contacts will ( restored once u use same BlackBerry id. You can always do a fresh download of your apps from your blackberry World.

I use etisalat and there is enough MB cos I can access other sites but not with my default browser. Fb, twitter and Linkedin are doing just fine

V u done a Delete of the current BBM and done a fresh BBM Download from BlackBerry World?!

Pls gurus in the house I am having some issues with my Q5. The BBM always loses connection thereby rebooting endless and b4 long again loses the connection. As it is now, I can't access my default Web browser and my blackberry world.

What Mobile Network are you using for your Q5 BIS?!

If it is Glo, may be it is a Network fluctuation issue ( since u mentioned it affects ur BBM, BlackBerry World, and Web Browser).

Better still, U can delete the BBM, head to BlackBerry World to download a fresh BBM.

Check u still v data on ur BIS subscription.

I ask because I v seen Boys in Computer village repackaged used phones as new. Selling these used blackberry phones with their boxes and an arrange nylon cover on d screen.

Two years back, one of my female friends bought a used BlackBerry Torch 2 from Affordables as brand new. The phone did not last for 1 month it developed antenna wahala which ended up being sold as scrap!

This same Affordables, some friends of mine that r finicky in their mobile device purchase, scrutinised the BlackBerry Bold 5 Torch 9900 they wanted to buy from them . This was more than a year ago. They noticed some scratches on the neat phone packaged as brand new. They returned it immediately that they are not buying.

Blackberry Z30 is not sold as #56k sef on shop blackberry. So what kind of phones is Affordables selling at this interesting prices?!

The phone was really scarce and it's still largely scarce because BlackBerry were not sure how the market was going to react to the phone so they didn't order a lot of inventory. The demand has outweighed their expectations and the new inventory is just coming in

They have also launched the phone officially in a lot of country and Nigeria should get a launch this November.

Slot sells with One Year warranty. I got my BlackBerry 10 Device from Slot in Ikeja City Mall. And my receipt states 1 year warranty.

U need to be careful with some dealers though. Some sell Refurbished now as Brand New. Some sell Used as Brand New.

Cruzer and Kingston are not better than SanDisk in the world of sd cards..as a matter of fact I'll take a SanDisk over most brands

And by the way, it's a well documented fact that new original sd cards can also give issues especially once a particular size threshold has been crossed

Oga, SanDisk manufactures Cruzer (USB sticks). All my memory cards are original SanDisk , none has ever given issues. I even sell them when I am upgrading to the next storage capacity. The current owners v no issues.

I believe it is fake memory cards or rather low quality memory cards that misbehave when they reach a particular threshold.

As per the gentle man who complained about his memory card giving him issues after he upgraded his OS, he should test the memory card in another device and see if there is a change in the state of the memory card.

New Original SD cards don't give issues bro. Always buy either class 10 or Class 4 SD cards. U can limit ur purchase to Cruzer or Kingston. BlackBerry devices that come with SD cards mostly come with Class 4 SD card. Class 10 are the best. Most of the SD cards sold in Computer village are of low quality, they even select what device to be compatible with.

Get a new original SD card.

I love the fact that u stopped to rethink the act of Buying a Z30. In addition to d features u stated, Yeah Z30 has a better battery power na. And it can also help to boost Network in areas of poor network service. I wanted to buy a Z30 too, but decided against it since my Z10 rocks. I v 3 batteries and a Charging case I use with my Z10. Me, I will upgrade to d next big thing that BlackBerry has to offer after Z30.

hedohwuh: Please i have an issue with my Q5, for some time now, whenever water mistakenly touches the screen, the nest thing i see is that the OS starts misbhaving and the right handside of the screen wont respond again when i touch that side. For example, when i click the camera on the desktop, there would be no response. After some days it begins to work normally again. Please can any1 assist on this? Thank you all

You need to be proactive not Reactive. Your Reactive actions are " I go to the dentist when I have a tooth decay". Most likely you visited the dentist when the tooth decay has destroyed your tooth/teeth to the extent that the dentist can't save it.

You can be proactive by visiting your Dentist twice a year for General Dental check up. That way, any developing tooth decay can be treated. You need to brush your teeth with a Good tooth brush and Fluoride containing toothpaste. You need to brush twice daily ; in the morning after break fast and at Night after supper/dinner. Visit your Dentist for he or she to educate you more based on your Life style.
