Wow. Congrats dear. I am just coming from the Canadian Embassy. They said they only attend to people before 9am so I shld come back tomorrow. But it was after that I remembered dt there is a public holiday so wont want to go tomorrow for nothing. I will just mail them today. Happy for you.

I wrote a letter to the VO explaining all the efforts I made to get the PCC but non was successful. The letter was sent via DHL and I got the waiver reply via email.

@All, thank you all for your wonderful advice. I received an email from CDHC today granting me a Saudi police clearance waiver and assuring that my application will be finalised as soon as possible. Glory be to GOD.

I applied on the 27th of April 2011, got medical request on 13th July and did my medicals July 19. CDHC also requested for Saudi police clearance certificate (because I have worked there before) but all efforts to get it proved unsuccessful as I was told in Saudi Embassy here in Nigeria that it is not available to residents outside the kingdom. Please what do I do? Do u think they will waive the document if I write CDHC explaining the situation?

Hello fellow naira landers i ve be away from this forum for quite sometime, apologies for 4 nt leting d house kn cdhc final decision on my case. I was denied base on Insulficient fund on my account-the program i was going 4 was a 3yrs program and the personal acct i submitted was having an amount for tuition and living expenses 4 2 yrs, i thought i was good 2 go nt knowing i ve 2 show all d funds that wil carry me 4 d entire program.
Well nothing spoil, i gathered a lot of experience. Wishing everyone success.

but is it actually possible for CDHC to deny someone after holding someone's documents for more than 7 weeks?cos honestly don't seem to be comfy wi the wait.but then hope there wont be a refusal after such wait.

the problem wit this year is the volume of applicants. Last year was a lot quieter. submitted may 16th for an august 17th start date. just got the medicals done on friday (yesterday). Despite the clause in their letter its gives some hope when told to go for medicals. Lets keep praying, our answer may tarry but God's on our side.

There is always high volume of student permit application to CDHC every year, This yr is not different. A friend of mine applied in 2008 when the avg processing time was 8wks. Her application took 10 wks, and she was told that the reason behind the delay was because of high volume of student permit applications. The number of applications for a student permit to CDHC next yr is going to be more than that of 2011. Congrats on ur Medicals.
