Why should this road be called an EXPRESSWAY ?? |
Simple logic dictates that if we had set up a proper "registration at birth" policy since we have been making noise about national ID and proper census (1976?), a substantial number of Nigerians would be registered by now. What would have been left would be a few mop up Registration of some adults. Why are we failing in all aspects of human endeavor? Greed and ethnic jingoism, I guess |
I guess Nigerian life is so cheap and undervalued that the recent massacre in Sokoto of innocent citizens is not trending or lamented (talk less of calls for justice) as that of the unfortunate police murder incident in the USA and the story of whether Dr Adesina should keep his job. BUT WE SHOULD REMEMBER THE WORDS OF PASTOR MARTIN NEIMOLLER viz 'First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me" |
Great musician. I rocked that yeke yeke song some years ago. RIP to him |
A great lacuna in Nigeria's legal procedure ...especially in relation to appeals, is that there is no filter process whereby litigants firstly have to apply for "permission to appeal" before their appeals is allowed to be argued. This process will guillotine a lot of frivolous appeals in the bud |
I was a top officer @ OAU during my University days and I wasn't a cultist. Do not over generalise |
A coincidence that the Policeman and the accused share the same surname |

The notable and unfortunate thing about the hospital's rejoinder is the complete lack of empathy and the implied blame of the deceased. No condolences to the family of the deceased. From my own experience, most Nigerian medical personnel are heartless and a mirror of the Nigerian society. |
£80000! Na Wa o |
36million naira translates to about £80000 each. Imagine how many cottage hospitals that £80000 would build and equipment in each state. There is God of!!!!! |
