HealthRe: Am I Infected With Measles Or Heat Rash? by Okpakaeddo: 10:03pm On Jun 21, 2016
Hello healthy people, please what do I have on my skin? My mum says it's measles, but I'm thinking it's heat rash after I checked the symptoms of measles and images and they don't seem to look like what's really on me.

The spots look tiny and numerous like heat and they are sort of pinky. It's also itchy, I feel like taking a tough sponge and shove it round my body. Its in my chest, back and arm.

Confession: For the past 4days I've been wearing this long warmer abi na rain coat, it has net on the inside and I wore it day and night (even while sleeping, and after bathing during the day). So I'm thinking that's what caused it.

What will you say it is? And please what medication would you recommend? Homemade suggestions or drugs/creams will be appreciated.

P.S no insults, this is not my account.
OMG it looks like chicken lap. Go n c the doctor

Was ur friend's wife the one that revealed all these things to him? How did he know the man dropped her from the spot he picked her after the interview? Did he go to the interview with her? Because the story sounds very far fetched to me, but if all u said is true, then she will be committing marital suicide by accepting that job.

I believe no sane man will accommodate an adulterer as a wife, except he is a weak fellow....

Nairaland GeneralStolen Rivers State Govt Vehicles Recoverd by Okpakaeddo(op): 9:07am On Jun 10, 2015
DETERMINED to get back government property looted from the Government House in Port Harcourt, security operatives on Monday evening recovered 10 vehicles allegedly stolen by officials of the immediate past administration in the state.

The vehicles were recovered from two locations identified as Rumuokparali and Trans-Amadi in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

A statement from Government House identified the recovered vehicles as one Coaster bus, two Nissan Urvan buses, two Higer vehicles, one Land Cruiser, one Toyota Hilux Pick-up, one Peugeot 607 Saloon car and two Peugeot 406 cars.

It was learnt that security operatives who conducted the operation were accompanied to the locations by some Government House employees.

The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, had, on assumption of duty, alleged massive looting of government property and facilities by the immediate past administration.

Wike had also taken leading Rivers State stakeholders on a tour of the Government House to see the points where facilities in Government House were either looted or vandalised.

The governor had, however, vowed that all stolen government property would be recovered while those found to have engaged in the criminal act would be made to face the wrath of the law.

A statement from Government House revealed that security operatives had begun the interrogation of those found at the locations where the stolen vehicles were recovered.

Government House in Port Harcourt says the property recovery process will be a continuous process.

Speaking on the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Mohammad, told Southern City News on Tuesday that the command was able to recover the vehicles based on information that the stolen items were seen in unauthorised places.

“Acting on information that some suspected vehicles belonging to the Rivers State Government were seen parked in unauthorised yards, the command recovered three Coaster buses, two 306 Peugeot, two Hummer buses and one 306 Peugeot,” Mohammad said.

He, however, pointed out that investigation was still ongoing with a view to recovering more of the stolen vehicles and property removed without authorisation from the Government House.

PoliticsRe: France Aiding Boko Haram, Minister Alleges by Okpakaeddo: 10:42am On Dec 08, 2014
siraj1402:
MINISTER of National Planning, Dr Abubakar Sulaiman, has blamed continued onslaught of Boko Haram terrorists on Nigeria on alleged animosity the country shares with Francophone West African countries.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, at the weekend, the minister, who said Nigeria should revisit its Francophone policy, added that the issue of Boko Haram insurgency was political and, fundamentally, military.

“First, the issue of terrorism is global, regional and sub-regional. Second, the terrorism we have in Nigeria has internal and external dimensions to it. Some of the terrorists are not just Nigerians; they are not operating from Nigeria; they are operating from Nigerian borders and they have some back up from neighbouring countries.

“When you look at Nigeria’s history, we have been consistent in the kind of animosity we share with the Francophone West African countries. Nigeria should revisit, for instance, its francophone policy. We should look at the French policy on Nigeria. We should look at the position of France to Nigeria security. We should look at what has been, over the years, the strategy in the area of politics. What have been the relation, attitude, orientation, conduct and posture of France to Nigeria?

“Again, we need to go back to what had been the attitude of France and French government to the Boko Haram issue in our effort to fight terrorism.

“I don’t think Boko Haram is having its ways because government is not working. It is having its way because we are not getting enough support from the sub region. It’s fundamental.

“Third, people should be mindful of one thing when they try to criticise President Goodluck Jonathan on the issue of terrorism. We should know that when it comes to fighting terrorism, counter-terrorism and warfare, presidents do not go to war. It’s the handiwork of the armed forces. It’s the primary responsibility of the military. And let me say this, the Nigerian armed forces today is being dominated by Northerners and the Boko Haram spate is in the North. If there is a problem there, we look at our tactics, military operation and suspect some subversive tendencies in the armed forces.

“The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) is from the North. The National Security Adviser (NSA) is from the North. The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) is from the North. So, why must anyone blame the president? I think we should appreciate what the man is doing by mobilising all these forces.

“So, if there’s problem, we should ask questions from the military and troops. Warfare or counter-terrorism is not just about the president. A lot of factors come in military strategy. And one of it is what I call Grand National strategy. I think we should appreciate the president on what he has done and see how we can collectively devise other mechanisms to get solution to the problem, rather than heaping blame on president.

“Yes, it’s a political issue, but fundamentally, a military issue. And I am not saying they have not tried,” he said.

Troops kill terrorists in Ashaka raids

In another development, fleeing terrorists reportedly managed to retrieve three truckloads of their dead members, following defeat in Ashaka when they were engaged by security operatives.

The defeated terrorists, who arrived in a large convoy of 30 vehicles, motorcycles and equipment, were on a mission to take control of Ashaka.

The troops, it was gathered, were aware of the terrorists’ intention to take over Ashaka, after their operation in Bajoga and its environs in Gombe State.

The terrorists, however, destroyed some equipment of the troops before fleeing the location.

According to defence Twitter handle, “we lost close to a dozen soldiers. We die; t is noble. Lest any form of terrorists rejoice.”

Over 10 soldiers also died in the battle, while those who were wounded are being treated in military hospitals.
