Webmasters / Should We Invest In Facebook Ads, If We Are Already Successful With SEO? by OlaB2019: 10:30pm On Feb 20, 2020
If you are new in the online marketing space, you probably think SEO is the be all, end all of online marketing. Like me, you think it's extravagant to earmark a sizeable budget for social media marketing and Google ads.

Targeted ideal buyers/clients is where the money is at. Tech giants FaceBook and Google collect and analyze an enormous amount of data from their users to predict buying behavior.

Without further ado, targeted ads is the future of online success.
Education / Are We Totally Unaware Of Cyberbullying In Nigeria? by OlaB2019: 1:38pm On Feb 18, 2020
I was surfing online and I found an interesting article on how parents in Nigeria can protect their kids form the monster that is cyberbullying and all its cousins - all forms of harassments e.g. stalking, clap backs, trolling and 'savage comments'.

Imperial Gate School did massive justice to the subject - cyberbullying in nigeria and I think all educational institutes globally and locally should continue to sensitize parents and guardians about the damage it can wreak on kids' confidence and self-esteem.

Education / Having the money talk with kids in Nigeria's economic clime by OlaB2019: 2:19pm On Nov 12, 2019
Money influences the way we live and the freedom we have as human beings. I personally can't remember my first interaction as a child, but I recognized money and I perceived the value it could purchase almost instinctively.

It is important in today's world to teach your children about money especially in Nigeria

Webmasters / 4 Services To Ask For When Consulting SEO Services by OlaB2019: 12:22am On Sep 23, 2019
A lot of business owners are becoming familiar with the unexplored goldmine - Google Search free organic traffic. They also know this can only be taken advantage of by doing SEO. But they hardly know where to start from.

1. On-site optimization: website designers are the architects, SEO services experts are the interior decorators. To correct most people that think they are one person, the analogy puts their respective roles on the Internet into perspective. Every website built for business has to be Google Search friendly in the sense that Google has look for certain signals on your site to know exactly what business you do.

2. Keyword Research: what are the money keywords in your industry? What keywords are people searching for that's bringing making sales for your competitors?

3. Content Strategy: The frequency with which you publish quality content on your blog determines how often Google spiders will crawl your website. This helps in gaining a steady increase in traffic, which means more sales.

4. Whitehat link building: Building links to your website from relevant, trustworthy and authoritative websites. This transfers authority from Google to your site. This practice is top 3 Google Ranking Factors in 2019. However, Google frowns at spam and blackhat strategies cry

Travel / 7 Fun Things To Do If Are Traveling To Lagos For Your Holiday! by OlaB2019: 4:20pm On Sep 20, 2019
Unless you are not enthralled by the “extroverted life”, Lagos is anything but boring. This bustling city in the Western region of Africa is an active and sociocultural melting point of cultures, traditions, people and events. The beautiful sights and multi-layered sounds are a call out to its residents to get up and do something. There are always turnups, somewhere and anywhere if you know where to look. Here's a look at some of the fun things to do in Lagos.

1. New Afrika Shrine Ikeja

This is the popular posthumous legacy left by the late legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti. It hosts the annual Felabration Music Festival, located in the epicenter of Ikeja, the state capital of Lagos. The annual event is graced by cultural enthusiasts, academics and Afrobeat music lovers. And the annual Fela Debates/symposium, which features a vibrant nightlife and beautiful jazz music.

The New Afrika Shrine was rebuilt by Yeni and Femi, children of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, after it was razed to the ground due to a run-in with the Nigerian government of his day. It now hosts the week long "Felabration" event every October in celebration of the musical icon. Managed by the son of the legend, Femi Kuti, the history of the Shrine has been preserved and looks to be passed on to future generations. French President, Emmanuel Macron visited the imposing edifice, once as a student and in 2018 as an elected president. Don't miss out on this!

2. Terra Kulture, Victoria Island

Founded in 2003, Terra Kulture Arts and Studios Limited is an educational and recreational hotspot. It embodies the Nigerian language and craft school, reading and documentation centre, food lounge, the Terra art gallery and the Terra Arena a multipurpose TheatreIt celebrates the richness and colour of Nigerian languages, arts and culture. Terra Kulture has organized over 200 art exhibitions , 135 plays, 65 book readings and over ten thousand people have attended the language classes. The Terra Kulture Auction house has organized numerous art auctions in Lagos and Abuja.

3. Enjoy Creativity at The Jazzhole and Bogobiri

The Jazzhole and Bogobiri is the place for those who value and cherish artistic statements and expressions. Creatives and art enthusiasts gather here to immerse themselves in an ambience of musical display, literature and the arts.
Guests are treated to music from the resident band at Bogobiri while there is a bookstore and mini-art exhibition at the top floor of the establishment. Guests can enjoy the intriguing experience of the artistic environment featuring good music while enjoying great meals and exotic drinks.

4. Cutural Events at Freedom Park
Downtown Lagos hosts Freedom Park, a multi-functional cultural hub which is a former colonial prison ground that has now been made over and is the go-to location for arts, culture and recreation in the city. Some annual events at the park include the Eko Theatre Carnival, commemorations of the Black history month, the Lagos Reggae Festival and the Adire Heritage Festival.

5. Lagos Carnival
Much like it's steep history, the Lagos Carnival is a colorful event Lagosians and visitors look towards every year. The Lagos Carnival began in the 19th century after some freed Brazilian slaved returned to the city and held the first Lagos carnival ("Fanti" or "Caretta). The Lagos Carnival is a colorful display of the city's heritage filled with music, dancing and fun and not forgetting elaborate costumes by participants. This event holds during the Lagos Black Heritage Festival.

6. The Fashion Weeks

Two of Africa's biggest fashion events, the Africa Fashion Week and the Lagos Fashion and Design Week are both held annually in Lagos and these events are when the very best of Africa's fashion designers and emerging talents meet to display their unique indigenous designs which showcase the cultivated taste in fashion that Africa wants the world to share in.

7. Eyo Festival

The Eyo Festival is the highly traditional event native to Lagos State. Historically, the Eyo Festival was observed by certain secret societies with the duty of escorting a dead king to the afterlife and crowing a new one. However, these days, the festival is a tourist attraction that sees the Eyo (masquerades) emerge to show off dancing skills and elegance. The festival is also a time where Lagos' ceremonial monarchs (Obas) are paid due respects. During the festival, Tourists and Lagosians are warned not to violate any of the sacred prohibitions upon visitation.

Whether you are new in town, a local or just passing through, there is always an event in Lagos and things to do you can never get tired of.

Webmasters / I'll Teach You How To Get SEO Leads And Enquiries For Your Business. by OlaB2019: 3:31pm On Sep 17, 2019
What do I mean by SEO leads?

This is basically an online user that has searched for a keyword relevant to your business and has clicked through to your website. Such person, or the lead places an order, downloads an e-book, or shares their contact details for further relationship.

How do you generate SEO leads?

This can be done in a variety of ways; but the fundamental strategies are,

1) hiring SEO experts to optimize your website for your industry relevant keywords and publishing new content about your industry regularly.

2) making use of social media.

3) having a responsive website that is optimized for mobile viewing. This is because more than 60% of searchers occur on mobile gadgets.

A great resource I found online that discusses this topic at length --> https://leadidea.com.ng/blog/seo/seo-lead-idea-6-hacks-to-grow-your-business
