The idea is to be able to play out effectively because McFred pivot does not provide incise forward passing and pressure relieving plays like what Matic and Pogba can provide. We also need to consider that Liverpool hardly create anything from the centre with their midfielders.

We have been on a good run.. we actually got 10 points from the first 4 games and another 3 points from the game in hand against Burnley.

A draw against Liverpool won't be a bad result but a win will give us some serious boost, put a 6pt gap btw us and Liverpool and also ensure City don't creep over us when they inevitably go on a 5 to 10 games winning run.

I agree with your points. I never said we were playing badly. But you can always take it up a few notches and you can see we really found a higher gear in the second half and we finally scored. Stubborn bus parkers like Burnley na something spectacular dey unlock them and Pogba delivered.

The ref is stupid, I think he felt insecure. He didn’t want to be bullied by Manchester United’s “big players” and his compromised mental state made him lose control of the game.

But the thing be day, no matter how stupid the ref is or how deep the opponent defend, good teams always find a way and we did that today.

But seriously how can you call this win a scrappy win, we dominated Burnley all game until the last 10 mins of the game.

Maguire almost gave away a penalty towards the end, omo my balls been enter my belle.

The goal that Maguire scores that was disallowed I have seen goals like that given on multiple occasions, Kevin Friend had a terrible game.

What was scrappy about that win?? una go just dey type rubbish after hiding for 90 mins during the game. Useless Burnley camped in there box and played hoofball all game, we dominated and had good chances. If Martial and Cavani had been clinical this could have been a 4 - 0 game.

Also ability to win games through grit and a single goal is hallmark of a team in the race for the title. We let one slip against Leicester but did well tonite.

What could the boys have done better when them useless Burnley players are just hoofing the ball upfield and defending deep. It does not help that the referee is not in control of the game. The idiot didn't blow fouls for us because the players are asking even though some of those FKs were warranted. Also they wasted 5 mins on the VAR decision and decided to add 4 mins to the first half.

Matic is balling though and AWB, Bailly and Maguire all need to calm down and stop panicking when Burnley hoof the ball upfield.
