I can't say it's a must. However, in his sponsorship letter, he has to say what he does for a living. It's always good to back such claim with proof. A work ID can be used.

I thought what I need to attach is just the sponsorship letter, statement of account and valid Identity card, is his employment letter a must?

Please guys advice me on this Statement from Bank of America to show proof of funds, it is generated online and there is no where to stamp or signed. Will it be accepted by the Embassy?

Hello, I am applying for a student visa but my brother is my sponsor and he has a dollar account with Bank of America. However, he is presently in Nigeria and he can only generate the statement of account for his bank in America online, my question is will the statement generated online be accepted by the Canadian embassy? Or must he visit his bank in America to get it and sign as it is done in Nigerian Banks? Please anyone who has used a statement of account from another country please assist me before I submit it.
