I have this 100 litre chest freezer product of Skyrun just stopped working after about 4 years, engineer said we need to fill the gas.

The standing fridge haier thermocool so clean but same gas issue and fridge side not cooling but freezer side work after gas refill.

Willing to let go the both of them for 150k!

The fridge has been fixed and working very well.
It's usually not gas issue when an AC or Fridge goes bad because all things being equal a gas is not supposed to leak from a cooling system.

That fridge is a good fridge because it retains, cool, blocks, works very well and has good energy saving mode so if you use pre-paid meter and you have constant light like us then you are good.

What went wrong?
The fridge went down last year and the technician said is gas, after filling gas he said is compressor without knowing that the internal condenser is leaking and with that leakage the fridge will never work well and you will continue refilling the gas.

He change the compressor and filled the gas, but the unit failed to work hence it was abandoned.

Now he got a good technician who installed an external condenser, flushed the system, change the dryer and refill the gas everything cost N25,000 only as I speak to you that fridge is the best (after one week test)

Please note that you will enjoy this fridge if you have almost regular power supply because once everything in the freezer blocks the fridge thermostat will shut down the fridge and the ice will be tightly retained and the fridge won't come up except you open the door and some ice escape and the freezer defrost small then it will start working again.

In all it's a very good product, if you want to get the best plan installing external condenser if the compressor is working ok, then flush the system before filling gas. It takes less than 4 hours to start forming ice and at 5hrs you have good blocks already.

We normally use the fast option which to me is okay and this would last all thru d night with just one bar out of four when fully charged.


The fastest option is too hard...

Note: I only got the table fan that have no other attachments...

The fan blows really well; it may not blow like those ox fans that make noise, but trust me it blows really well.

As regards how long it lasts, trust me it can serve u as much as 10 hours or more sef.

The way it works is this; once the solar panel is up on the roof(or anywhere it can access the sun directly), the inverter will charge and will get to full charge during the day. That solar inverter is what you connect to your fan to power it all through the night.

From my own user experience, If I put the fan on around 10pm it will work till around 8am next morning and it will just consume one bar out of the five bars indicating charge level on the inverter. It literally works all through the night and you still have enough power unutilized till the sun comes back up the next morning.

The truth is the fan is far better than any rechargeable fan I've seen being advertised online as far as performance and reliability is concerned.

I got mine (table fan) a lil more than a year ago and it hasn't dropped in power nor given me any doubt,hence I recommended it for him.


You can't get it at randoms except their accredited dealers..

It is a bit expensive compared to others but worth it

How many hours do you reckon it goes for?
Also, does the fan blow super hard?

I bought the standing fan on Saturday and their engineer installed same day.

The full package is N239k and it includes a solar panel that was installed on the roof, an inverter-like device that receives & stores the energy from the panel, a standing fan, 4 fluorescent bulbs and 1 sensor light.

From my 2 days user experience, I think it is a good value for money. On full charge, the fan doesn't even consume more than 1 bar of the full charge for an all-night use. It is serving the right purpose I wanted it to serve.

You would need like a Lithium battery of 15KWH or more.

if using LeadAcid or Tubular batteries, you need at least 4pcs.

For inverter, you need one with capacity to handle your load.

Then you need a good array of Solar panels.

The idea is to do the cooling and freezing during day time, then at night, you use the batteries to retain the cooling against the next morning.

The battery bank doesn't necessarily need to carry the freezer overNight though if your pocket can handle such, no problem.

mayBe if you share capacity of your load, we would be able to be more specific BUT it's totally doAble even if it's a balst freezer sef.


As for asking for "solid installers in Lagos" , doubt anyOne wouldn't agree He/She ain't solid. Mind you, me sef dey Lagos / Ogun state

Dey don’t require POF before issuing CAS, CAS issuance depends on when you apply, if you apply during the peak period, it takes time. Presently I learnt that they have stopped issuing CAS for September intake, its full.

Oh I would suggest you open a pound account with your bank since she’s in the UK. That way she can transfer the funds in pounds without worrying about exchange rate. Gives you more peace of mind too. The transfer can be made in one lump sum. However, when printing your bank statement, you start counting from the day after you received the lump sum(this prevents you from having to explain how you got the money). UKVI accepts bank statements in any currency. So long it’s in your name, parents or legal partner’s name.
