Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Best Platform To Sell Made In Nigeria Goods; www.invoo.com.ng by Olaleen(m): 10:08am On May 12, 2018
smileyreally great initiative, this would really help Nigerian entrepreneurs greatly. This should be on the front page
oyatmicah:
And no, there is no country that corners its local market before going international. So the idea of producing for the local market first before heading abroad is moot - Senator Ben Bruce Murray.

To help promote, encourage and adopt #MadeinNaija goods, Invoo Nigeria has created an online e-commerce portal, dedicated to goods from all sectors produced in Nigeria- www.invoo.com.ng

This will make locally produced goods available to Nigerians for purchase, regardless of their location, expose locally produced goods to the global market and achieve competitiveness so as to uphold standard.

I don't knw why some people like hating on others. I just expressed how I feel and all you can come up with is that am lazy. FYI, let's just assume the exchange rate didn't go kaboom and with a little capital added to business, I would have been making a profit of 3/4 of what the bank is going to pay me.

Am pretty sure that my strange feeling is emanating from the fact that I am abt loosing grip of a biz I built from the scratch.
imo,the job shouldn't stop or hinder the growth of your business, find a way to manage both well without one disturbing the other...employ people, keep records, accounts, and manage your employees well.God bless you
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How An Office Cleaner Outshined 6 'graduates' Today by Olaleen(m): 11:40pm On Jan 29, 2016
monacobull:
Let me start off by saying at this point i believe Nigerian graduates have a lot of work to do. Its taking a lot of effort for me to contain the level of disappointment im currently feeling towards our university leavers. I work in a multinational company and i have had the chance to partake in the interview process of some roles the company advertised. Most of the time im usually appalled at the errors and goofs i see on CV's. So let me get to the main story.

Six graduates came into the office this morning to interview for an internship position. Which was going to pay a basic salary and also some nice commissions. All the interviewees were very disappointing despite the very easy questions which was for a very simple role. In fact none of them showed enough quality to half consider them for the job. undecided

After the last person left, I and my colleague had already given up and hoped to do a fresh advert for the role. But 1 other person that was present at the interview was a senior staff from our foreign headquarters. And he suddenly suggested that we give the office cleaner a chance. At first i thought he was saying it out of frustration but this guy was damn serious. Long story short, we called the cleaner in and he handled our questions well and even scaled through 80% of the objection statements we threw at him! Whats more is that this guy isn't exactly educated and he even stammers! WTF !!!! Agreed he might have had better answers because he knows some more about the company having worked with us for a while, but still on still!...to outshine 6 graduates!...ah. shocked

Finally finally we have decided to take him on a trial role and give him the required training. Im still shocked beyond belief.

Naija graduates, please get your shit together. angry angry angry

name of your company, let me come and bail graduates out...
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 3 Brain Teasing Job Test Questions I Was Asked. Please drop your answers by Olaleen(m): 4:55pm On Jan 27, 2016

So i was invited to a job aptitude test in Surulere 2days ago. 3 questions caught my attention. Even though i was quite sure of the answers i provided, i still want to ask guys here for their perusal on them

Here they are:

1. A glove and cup both cost 110naira. The cost of the glove is 100times more than that of the cup. How much is the cup?

2. If it takes 10 machines 10minutes to make 10doughnuts, how long will it take 100machines to make 100doughnuts?

3. A man wants to venture into business so he buys a dozen eggs for 5naira and sells them for 3naira. From his calculation, if he sells 20eggs daily, in 1year he will be a millionaire. And his calculation is correct. How is that possible?

lmaoo, you should have just known they didn't want to give u the job.

I understand how frustrating it can be no to get any call for an interview after several job applications. I have this few ideas to suggest to you and I'm sure they will help you to get invitation for interview.

1. You can submit your CV online for evaluation. Jobberman and YouthHubAfrica helped me to evaluate my CV free and it really improved my CV. You can submit yours to Jobberman through this link http://mobile./topcv

2. When you want to forward your CV to any Company HR, ensure you type your cover letter in the mail text box. Don't just attach your CV to an empty mail and send. Ensure your CV is in doc/docx format and is created with the Microsoft Word 10 or 13. Your cover letter should be brife and summarize what you have in your CV.

3. Ensure you apply directly on the company's website, not true Jobberman, Career24 or any other job website. Applications on job websites don't usually get to the company HR. You can Google the company name to get the company's website address.

4. Have a category of job you will like to apply for. Don't just apply for any job you see online. Always read the job description and requirements to see if you meet up.

5. Prayer to God over the applications you made. You will not only get calls for interview but also secure a good job.
thanks a lot, you've been really helpful

Relax! It's a Phase in the Job Hunting Process that will surely come to Pass. Experienced same thing too. Had a dry-spell for over a month and was tempted to think my CV was the Problem, just then, the invites started coming almost on a Weekly Basis.
thanks
