Android is dominating because they installed it on multiple smartphones and it's an open source, if they share the market and each phone manufacturers stand on there own can't compete with iOS.

There are many smartphones in the market and sometimes don't know which to buy because of the hardware configuration we tend to turn to Smartphones OS like iOS, Android, FireFox, Windows Phone, Ubuntu e.t.c. Though some say they prefer iOS because you don't have to choose from different brands but types i.e. iPhone 4, 4s, 5 and so on while others prefer the varieties of brands with others OS. But we want to look at Android and iOS. What will you prefer between the two and state the reasons why it is?
Please try as much as possible to make this discussion informative, educating and enlightenment for those that want to know more about the smartphones OS and no criticism of any form cause this place is not a battlefield... tumababa: iphone 4, 16gig. factory unlocked, might not be jailbroken cos theres no jailbreak for the latest iOS. except u are lucky to see one dat is still on 6.1.2 (not common)

Hello House, experts and gurus: I want to get iPhone 4 or 4s though I know the difference in the two but because am a novice in the iOS ecosystem, which one do you advise me to get considering my budget of 45k which will be factory unlock and jailbroken.

Blewusi: I agree with you. Samsung doesn't support its phones FOREVER. After three (3) years, Samsung stops upgrading its phones. For example, Galaxy SII came out the box with Gingerbread 2.3.4, but two and a half years down the line, it is currently running on Jelly Bean 4.1.2. And Samsung says Jelly Bean 4.2.2 will be the LAST OS update for SII, because it'll have a toll on the device, but it'll continue to receive FIRMWARE UPDATES if necessary. And it makes sense, because the battery capacity of SII is 1650 mAh. I don't intend to use my Grand Duos for the next three years, because I may buy a better phone by next year. But it's GRATIFYING to note that Samsung will keep supporting my phone for the next three (3) years.

Even if Samsung only support there phones for two years that's something at least you can't considered yourself as a stagnate person using Samsung SII for like three years without thinking of getting another, as for me I can't use a phone more than one year and six months and if they support it to that extent kudos to them. Well as for Tecno I can't be there test subject but if they come out with a smartphone they can support for at least a year maybe I can give them a try... I rest my case for now.

Despite the facts that they can move doesn't mean they are the same, where can you find features like GPS Navigation System, Autolock, Driver Protector, Air bags, Anti Theft Systems, WiFi Hub, Weather Monitoring System, AC, ABS e.t.c in Ijapa? They are features you can never find in it not because it can't be included but you will be using a reverse engineering which is not nice cause it mess up things. Though I have Ijapa and I test drive Bentley I will upgrade from advanced Ijapa (Bug) to Bentley if I have the money rather to downgrading back to Ijapa. Even I can use my Ijapa to perfect my driving so I will not crash my Bentley. Even though I love my Tecno F7 I will definitely upgrade to Galaxy Grand Duos next month. Blewusi: Whether SOFTWARE or FEATURES, Tecno doesn't have them. If you don't know it's the SOFTWARE that gives you the FEATURES. Just like Android 4.2.2 software that has been released for Grand Duos. That software will give you the features you use on the phone, or better still what the phone can do. Get more education. The phone manufacturers themselves don't even call those things software, they call them FEATURES. For example they say: what are the FEATURES of this or that phone.
