On Tuesday 28th July, 2015 the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. MacJohn Nwaobiala while interacting with State House correspondents after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari on his ministry’s activities and educational challenges at the Presidential Villa, Abuja pointed at the new admission policy by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

That the policy had led to protests in some parts of the country as certain candidates who applied to the University of Lagos were unable to register for the school’s Post UTME after the school allegedly made use of 250 marks as a screening benchmark.

I am glad to anuounced to all candidates who chose Osun State University as their First choice, with a minimum score of 180 in 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that University of Osun Post UTME / DE Screening Exercise application form for 2015/2016 academic session is on sale.

However, candidates that scored less than 200 would not be considered for admission into any of the underlisted programmes:

Economics

Business Administration

Political Science

Nursing

Law

Also, candidates that are interested in the following programmes but did not choose UNIOSUN can apply: Public Health, Physiology, Guidance and Counseling, Educational Management, Agronomy, Plant Biology, Zoology, Fisheries, Wildlife Management , and Mathematics.

The University is not admitting candidates for MBBS (Medicine) programme for the 2015/2016 academic session. Candidates for the MBBS programme may wish to change to any of the programmes in the University for which they are qualified or apply for a change of institution to other Universities.

It was announced by the Head of JAMB, Lagos, Dr. Beatrice Okorie that candidates can begin to check the institution they have been posted for admission by JAMB online, starting from Monday 3rd of August.


Here is How to Check Your Re-Assignment Status on JAMB website:

Go to the JAMB Portal: http://www.jamb.org.ng/
At the homepage, click the first option under the ‘2015 UTME’ section which says “Check Where you have been posted for Admission”



In the dialogue box that appears, type in your Registration number
Click on the “Check Where you have been posted for Admission” tab
The portal will display your posting which you can print.
