Many things are subsidized here. You don't know until you are told. Lagos state subsidized health for 65 and above.

Health is cheap here if you don't know.

Primary and secondary education are almost free.

University education is subsidized.

Electricity is subsidized.

We just don't appreciate this things and I think government should back off if possible

This is the excuse that they always use that the" next person to come in won't do miracles" but Nigeria is full of talented people and Tinubu is not the best leader we can produce. We have people who can turn things around more quickly, who can more transparent, not corrupt and also able to deal with corruption. We haven't had a good leader in this country apart from Muritala Mohammed and Tunde Idiagbon.

May be you are correct but I doubt. One of the accounts is surely not correct. Because Judas left immediately to hang himself according to Mathew. Luke account indicates that he didn't hang himself immediately but may be after weeks

So Luke's account was a third party account unlike Matthew, Mark and John who lived and worked together with Jesus in the ministry that's why his own records differ from that of Matthew!

That's logical. However, isn't this a confirmation that the Bible is not completely accurate?

That Luke relied on eye witnesses account also raise another question - He didn't write what God inspired him but acted as a journalist

For those who care to know, while the bible has history in it, its not meant for history.

There are those like the OP who search the scripture with wrong objective like looking for contradictions.

The bible is about Jesus and the eternal live that he provides. Fallible men wrote the bible and as such their inadequacies will be seen. But the truth of the scriptures stand out for those who are interested in the truth.

If you are reading as a story book or for contradictions, you waste your valuable time. You can use that time for something more useful.

No amounts of insults will change the truth.

Where is the truth here Sir? If you claim the writer of the Bible were liable to make mistakes and they did, can I completely rely on their reports? Isn't it God that inspired them to write what they wrote?

Next I didn't tell you you can't get some good graduates out of the poor quality education system we have. No, there will always be few ones who went out of the way to work on themselves and come out good. By the way, I am a product of a public education system all through( primary, secondary and university up to masters level) and having had opportunity to teach at a school at a certain time in my life, I stand qualified to adjudicate on the matter at hand.
Finally, you said we have some our universities among top 1000 ranked across the world? Fine, let agree we have them there and that it is OK to be 1000th ranked, what percentages of mushroom universities being created by politicians are among those ranked? And how many of even the politicians send their wards to the universities they proliferate and make cheap? If I create universities and don't send my kids there, doesn't that say something about my faith in the schools I established?
Bros, stop being emotional about this issue, I am a patriotic Nigerian, I believe good things can do come out of Nigeria but not because our system have format or is being run properly to inspire any hope but rather because I believe that God has not totally left us and in as much as God is present, good things will somehow always happen. Aside that, our situation looks hopeless. Nothing is working, it is mediocrity everywhere.

It is unfair and also unfortunate that your judgment on this is poor.

We have reports of countries having more universities than the US. America and India alone have close to 10000 universities, please add other countries and see the number of universities we have around the world. Then if there are estimates of 25,000 or probably more Unis around the world, how come you rate 1000 poor?

That I agree the education is cheap doesn't mean I agree it is poor. My yardstick for rating is how they rank among others around the world. However, you didn't see my point here! My point is that university education is a premium service and it is not cheap. No premium service is cheap and in addition, not for everyone. But the country make it so that every one want it - Wrong!

As per your assertion that the children of a certain category don't attend our Unis, that's not entirely true. I have numbers of them in high rank with their children around in our Unis.
In 2002 when I was thinking of studying in America, one of them that I met in school gave me the very tip that made a US Uni offered me an admission.

Again, the public Unis have more "percentage" in the rank than the private.

Our education is not the best but it is not very poor. A lot of my friends in different field can compete with their counterparts in any part of the world. I don't know why you people lie so much against your country. As at year 2002, America had more than 3000 universities. That's America alone. Our universities are ranked around 1000 best. Does that not tell you we have our universities ranked higher than so many Americans universities?
