There are two kinds of tongues. One, of men, and the second, of angels. As far back as the Old Testament, the second tongue which is prevalent today was known to GOD'S messenger.

In the book of 1 Corinthians, Apostle Paul was referring to a scenario. He was only trying to paint a scenario to tell how weighty love can be. He didn't say he did it and there was never any record of his activities or any of the apostles or disciples that spoke a language that no human understands.

The major reason why the anointing made the disciples spoke in tongues was for the purpose of spreading the good news so that language won't be a barrier. With this they can speak and preach to others around who didn't understand jew.




What happened in Daniel wasn't a language and it wasn't speaking in tongues. It was a code that need an expert (this time Daniel) to decode. It was written not by human just like more or less a programming language. It wasn't for public consumption.
