bumdish: For the benefit of all, especially those at various stages of application, I have posted a screen capture of the online tracking portal showing the various status at each stage of the visa application. I hope this would help calm some nerves, quench some curiosity and inform altogether.

Pix 1: You'll see this once you concluded that application submission process. The process includes document pre-scrutiny, fees payment and application submission

Pix 2: You need to take chill pill to see this. Only God, CHDC and VFS knows what determines the waiting period, but generally, it takes between 3weeks and 4months. Also, I believe most people are handed their medical invite here.

Pix 3: You'll get to see this once you return your passport to VFS after your medicals

Pix 4: Once you see this, start heading towards 16, billings way. Most people don't get to see this because it lasts only a few hours before the next update.

Prince christian: @olaremyak.....i waz refused january because of these reasons (1) no enough evidence between u and ur sponsor (2) no evedence funds will be made available for ur studies in canada (3) u cannot transport ur self to and fro from canada(4)u cannot maintain ur self without working in canada..........nw am using my mum plus building plans, landed documents, transport vehicle papers for transportation etc and @sym, u re right, lets wait for the outcome. my prayer is for him to get it

Prince christian: @code brain, the sponsor u used is d cause.........his happened to me too last year from august to january.........this year before i used my mum now as my sponsor, jst summited my applicatn again dis month, @pascal u jst forgot ur guy in d stuggle, hope u re good?

Did you include any document that binds your uncle and your mum? Or just the major ones statement,affidavit etc??

..my sponsor is my uncle (mother side).so i included birth certificate of my mum that bears same surname with my uncle

@ justwise...my school fees is 14,000 pounds and it is in london..how much should be in my acct and can i print the statement immediately i deposit the money or when can i print to submit

..i was refused in 2007 cuz i applied with a fake tax clearance and didnt attach a scratch card to verify my NECO result.my school fees is 14,000 pounds and also in london...how much in naira should be in my acct

....yes,i sent additional docs vis DHL courier,i wrote on a plain sheet,full name,date of birth,passport number,acknowledgement number given by VAC..placed the paper on top of all d docs.thats all,then i sent to embassy address in lagos not VAC..i tracked it and was delivered d next day.mailed embassy 2 days later and confirmed the receipt

shavel: @danyl, cdhc goes to any lenght to verify documents to their satisfaction , I believe that is why u are asked to give details of ur school and address to enhance verification...hope dis ansas ur ques?...........@olaremy2k, not my fault bro I hardly have times for social networks dis days.....how far with ur app?

genxris: @olaremy,did u mean exam fee or interview fee because i meant to ask if i can go ahead fill my ds-160form and is it possible to choose a date immeditly after filling that form and then later go to the bank and pay my visa interview fee Or must i have to pay the visa interview fee first before i can now fil the form to get a date?
What i am trying to say is can getting a avialable date for myself be done first before i can later go pay for the visa interview? Secondly do one have to pay another fee in order to get a closer avialable date for instance after i have already choosed a old date before?

..sorry,i was talking about toefl..about interview,u will pay for the visa fee before scheduling appointment.also,if u pay and schedule appointment,u still can reschedule to any date that come available...hope am clear

....rescheduling is possible.registration is confirmed only when u pay the exam fee...like in my case,i choose a far 2months distance and reschedule later for a close date but paid a reschedule fee

@ justwise,kudos for ur support so far..please i need ur advice..i got an unconditional admission letter to study in uk...do i ned to pay any fee before i can apply to embassy,how much is expected to be in my account.also,ive once been refused a study permit in 2007 as an undergraduate and am now applying for masters.will the earlier refusal affect my current application...kindly advice me

Danyl: @bumdish, thanks alot, actually the reason why i am asking this is because i applied to a school dalhousie university and they are requestin that i should do toefl but i laready had a university degree and am going for my second undergraduate degree, meanwhile toefl is not what it used to be in the past , people are now using it as a means to siphon people of their money, some are doin it for 40k, in some places you see it at 50,000 and in a place my friend told me its an arrangee kind of a thing,and its around N120,000, i just cant imagine myself going through that when i can do a placement test when i enter dalhousie at $100 before starting, tis really awful seeingthings like this in nigeria.

...ure right,some exam centers are fraudsters,and money vary from center to center,i registered mine @ 30k
