By my assessment the following will pass from the current list:

-Akintola Williams (for building institutions like ICAN, MUSON, Lagos stock exchange (now NSE), t mention a few)
-Gani Fawehinmi ( for his fight for under-privilege)
-Kanu Nwankwo (coming back to play for Niaja after abandoning him & his heart foundation)
-Wole Soyinka (Human right activism)
-Dora Akunyili (for what she did before at NAFDAC, not her job for this clueless Yar'Adua)
-Obasanjo (if they extend the list to 6)

I don't live there but I visit. I know lots of people living there. I can tell you, the story is thesame

After two year in power, nothing tangible has been done by the slowpoke Governor of Oyo state. No development project, no people centred project, no thing, nothing.

Sorry, I just remembered there are some projects: a project that removed the statue.
The ashole Governor is ever busy chasing traditional titles in nooks & crannies of the ancient city/ state.

We talk about his counterparts like the action governor(Fashola), Gbenga Daniel, Rotimi Amaechi, etc.

The good people of Nairaland, it sinks my heart to remember that Aloa Akala has ruled the state for 2 years and may be there for another 2, if the tribunal does not come to the aid of the state.

Whoever knows him should inform him that, the people of the state hate him with strong passion. I also do, though I do not live there.

He's sure the best Gov'nor in Nigeria as at today.
I'll tip him for the top job come 2015. There's still lots of things to be fixed in Lagos and it will be sheer politis and waste of time to start contesting for president in 2011.

Let him consolidate on the achievement, turn Lagos to a model city, then look for how to fix Nigeria come 2015.

Pls lets us ensure that pple like Alao Akala do not become Gov'nor ever again in Nigeria
