I am very proud of u nairalanders. Quite obvious we are only getting wiser by the day. There is no developed country worldwide dat is not heavily-indebted in order to industrialise. U know my greatest fears? Firstly, Our leaders are compulsive robbers hence wont even spend a dime out of it to provide basic amenities. Secondly, b4 okonjo-iweala was able to strike that deal for us, we have paid more than 300% of the money we borrowed just servicing the interest on the loan. But then we were paying N400b yearly to service these loans. However, OBJ did assure us that once we were able strike the savings of N400b would channeled to improving basic amenities like roads. I think we need to ask our leader-robbers why all our infrastructures only got worse then.

It would be most unfair by me to give obj the worst nigerian leader tag or worse, for anyone, to even rate him the best too. My friend, I am very happy with ur contributions along in respect to my earlier posting. It really opened my eyes. It is very obvious u are very close to the Nigerian military. However, u made one or two mistakes in ur response.
Truly, all mechanized divisions are set up in order to operate independently on the battle field. Hence they include all the army units like engineering, medical, reconnaissance, armoured, infantry, artillery etc. However, u need to read abt the tactics of modern tanks since the german blitzkrieg in 1939 when the germans defeated a much more experienced and better armed French in an humiliating 40 day war. The French spreaded their tanks as supporting units while the germans concentrated their tanks into panzer combat armies. This same tactics was effectively used to almost humiliatingly defeat the Russians too.
And since these great humiliations, successive western countries even used this tactics in order to be able to defeat the germans themselves. Since then no big war has been fought without the employment of this blitzkrieg tactics except in heavily forested Vietnam where tanks are useless. Of course u can easily defeat tanks with ATGMs. Meanwhile u need to be reminded that Nigeria army is still been armed with RPG-7 which is very useless against against modern tanks or ERA [explosive reactive armour]-armed tanks. It is only RPG-29 that can destroy most modern tanks. So therefore if the northerners invade the south with a column of tanks today, u think ur RPG-7 will stop them? U make me laugh. Aside from this, ur anti tank weapons like ATGMs can only be effective if the northern generals are so dumb to deploy tanks without adequate infantry screens. Me that is never a military man self would shoot any general dumb enough to commit this dumb mistake too. B4 u attack a place with tanks, infantry must first of all the deployed on the sides of the tanks to take of anti tank crews first. Hence making nonsense of ur anti tank crews.
Pls u need to google to find out if the former Lagos Garrison Command has really been converted to a division now. The said conversion was made by obj but late yar adua reverted it back to the former LGC status. Please just confirm online now.
Concerning the airforce, why would they place only transport and reconnaissance aircraft in the south? And the only attack planes u said were in the east were either scraped or allowed to rot away and u cant see beyond ur nose? In the military, u have offensive weapons, defensive weapons, airlift platforms, recce platforms and communication equipment. As far as u can bring destructions to the doorsteps of ur enemy anytime and anyhow u want, even if ur enemy is much more better equipped in the other areas, u will always carry the day. If a commander with only the offensive weaponry is creative enough, he would hardly feel too much his handicaps on the battlefield. Even to make matters worse, u even mentioned the Mi-35s, but u can I ask u a question sir?
Have u ever seen anywhere in the world where an helicopter gunship shot down an airborne plane b4? Helicopters only destroy planes still on the tarmac. I stand to be corrected. Hind is only effective against infantry and if u use the right weapons against tanks, APCs, and fortifications.
But this same alpha jets u indicated would be moved to PH is a very sad reminder to the status of our aircraft. Last yr, after the 6 chinese combat aircraft were bought, the airforce were indicating their willingness to retire their fleet of 24 alpha jets. Such wholesome destruction was too much for the Soviet forces to fully recover throughout the war. Even tiny Bafra destroyed more than 30 federal military aircraft within some weeks by using only two monoplanes fitted with machine guns and grenade launchers. They used element of surprised and flew at tree-top level thereby outwitting the federal radar systems then which couldnt pick anything at that level.

It is a known fact only infantry cant stand any stand tanks anyday. Hence all these ackward positioning of forces. The airforce has only their logistical group in southwest based in ikeja, none in the east, but the airweapons training sch in kano and most importantly, the tactical fighter squadron in makurdi, benue state. U think all these were done out of ignorance or illiteracy? If the their have access to the sea, i can swear the naval headquarters would have u been located in sokoto. But despite all the naval commands and ships being located in the south, they still sited the naval headquarters in abuja. Can u now see that we are doomed as far as we southerners are concerned? When obj was the president, he saw the anomaly and created upgraded the lagos garrison command to a full fledged division strenght. Immediately yar adua entered, one the first things he did was to revert it back to the brigade sized strength obj met it. A division usually has 3 brigades under it. And i pity my fellow southerners who ignorantly sees the northerners as foolish ignoramuses.

I have visited niger delta only once in 2001 for SITP exam. When i enter warri around 12 midnight, i met full armed mopols that even had a gun trained at my head and searched me frm head to toe. Pls stop all these arguments and go study how China fought the Americans during the korean war of early fifties. Even then, China a third world country like nigeria. In the war, they employed human waves to overwhelm american technology. They lost a million soldiers while the americans lost like 50,000. Do u know the result of the war? No victor no vanquished. But wit the state of their technology, the chinese can kill one american for every four chinese they kill. If the chinese decide sacrifise 20million lives, can the americans do away wit 5million people? NO. it is an established fact that in the past, great superpowers then have always fought bitter wars to keep the emerging powers at bay. Amongst the superpowers guilty of these abuse of power include great britain, holland, spain and one other country i cant remember now. Wars then used to be extremely predictable. God was 100% partial.He always followed the country that was able to  field the bigger battalions and army. But nowadays, two things have critically altered the predictability of wars.
             the first is the introduction of guerilla warfare and secondly, the invention of nuclear weapons. Even if the USA attacks China today, these two will tilt greatly against USA.  The reason being that China had a 50yrs of experience of waging a guerilla war amongst themselves which the USA doesnt has. the american civil war was a conventional war fought between the confederates and the federals. Aside from this, i dont see the USA winning in China of 1.2billion people if it cannot win in ten yr war in afghanistan of 30million people despite their intimidating technology and overwhelming strength. And it must be known now that China can now produce 99.99% of the technology american has now. So they wont be fighting on equal terms at all. or how do u want to term a 300million country going to war with one with 1,2billion ppl who will be fielding very similar techology?
