they learnt from the western engineers manufacturing in china and also by shamelessly and outrightly stealing technology. tell me one western country willing to transfer high tech to u without some heavy price? |
crackhouse, where did the chinese themselves knew how to make high tech stuffs? |
i just hope that the UAV will not be as unflyable like most of both our former national carrier as well as most of our airforce platforms. |

it takes a very determined govt to make nigeria a very productive nation in order to fully divest our economy from an oil dependent one with the accompanying developments. |
remember, rebel forces like Hizballah has been fabricating their own missiles to attack isreal and intelligence gathering tools which are busting american CIA prowess in lebanon. |
the UAV technology isnt supposed to be beyond our capability to produce or assemble because it has become as common as bullets on the modern battlefield. |
egypt started manufacturing locally the most advanced american main battle tank, M1 tanks as from 1992. |
dont forget that poor sudan manufactures most of their weapons like armoured cars, tanks, artillery and even helicopters. |
the amebo was designed in conjunction with a nigerian prof based in one UK university. |
the truth is that jonathan blind misrule has made me to forget any positive things i see everyday. |
when any tribe wants to criticise the yorubas' legendary tolerance, such people must look inwards first. If such critic is ibo, he or she should first search for the existence of osu caste system in yorubaland which the ibos are too proud to dismantle and the settler-indigene issues that possess more threat to the ibo unity and sanity than money and legendary ibo pride. If the person is an hausa, he or she should go to kano and publicly speak against the senseless killing of non moslems there and if he would survive that day. |
it is been long we have last seen such a shame to womanhood having to recourse to clinging to public funds like the leech she is. she out to be giving the record of being the world most shameless woman award. i hope guinness book of records is listening. |
i heard over the radio on the 26th december that boko haram claimed responsibity for the madallah bombing. wat my gut tells me is that boko haram sponsors arent happy with how fast the nation is slipping to civil war because they know right in their horrible minds that even all the north with all their awesome stocked in the whole north cant win any war they might wage prevent nigeria dividing if the whole south has made up their minds to seccede. hence, they are ready to blink first to prevent them losing the whole pot of soup they have been killing ppl for. however, if it is true, they werent responsible, then it means that jonathan is in a deeper shit because it is possible u they might be other much more violent terrorist groups which would be satisfied of busily bombing and allowing boko haram to claim responsibilities. i weep for nigeria which is finding itself prosrate all because of our leaders blind selfishness and wickedly to continue raping without no care about about whose ox is gored. i weep for boko haram which made themselves a ready too in politicians hands. the sooner the kill their sponsors and their families the better. |
If boko haram gets its nose bloodied every time they face soldiers, they might bounce back on southerners there. a word is enough for the wise. |
i am happy for them if they meant concentrating all their firepower on soldiers instead of innocent civillians. it only means their end has come. i imploy every southerner there to relocate back home. |
if jonathan were to be a yorubaman, i know some tribalistic nairalanders would be alluding all these to yoruba legendary cowardice. |
even if u take a century to do some real thinking it doesnt ensure u would make less mistakes what it means is that by the time u are ready to act the challenge confronting overgrown ur capability to tackle it and worse, ur final decision would have been greatly diluted with bad advice from ppl who wish u to fail. am i sure, as the chief security officer of the country, he wouldnt have lifted a hand against boko haram if his own personal security hasnt been greatly been at risk even inside aso rock. too sad our security is been entrusted to the least decisive nigerian care. if cameroun and france invade nigeria today, our president would be thinking of a casualty-free military response and would only be forced to order the army to retaliate just after abuja is surrounded? |
if u take too long to take a decision, u simply not taking any decisions just avoiding one. |
the army is in a worse shape. everyone saw how they were being constantly been licked in clashes with niger delta militants. during obj administration, an american cömpany carried out an audit and discovered that about 75% of the meagre military weapons have broken down beyönd repairs. if these army is better trained and equipped with a lot of armoured cars, gunships, support aircraft and drones, boko haram becomes a sitting duck. however, motivation one thing our leaders always overlook because of corruption. how do we expect soldiers to wholeheartedly fäce boko haram when only about 40% of their colleagues who died in active service since 2003 have the army authourity has handed over their benefits to their next of kins. what a way to motivate to lay down their life, if necessary, in the pursuit of boko haram. |
early this year, ringim raised an alarm that about one third of nigeria's 320,000 policemen were ghost workers. ever since, not a single person is in jail for such a massive fraud. worse, GEJ found no reason to butt him out of service for playing on nigerians' intelligence. the truth is that, i didnt expect him to do so. if such man remains as IG it is only a matter of time b4 boko haram might plant a bomb in aso rock itself. the police force even at 320,000 is grossly inadequate to even man the north alone. however, right technolögy can effectively and efficiently complement hundreds of policemen to be able to have the capacity and capability of one million policemen. if the police invest heavily in providing CCTV, drones, patrol helicopters, quick response swat teams and motion detection technology, boko haram wont last a year longer. all these technology are expensive but would greatly offset even the decision to employ poorly trained and poorly equipped policemen. |
i strongly believe boko haram is too busy trying to avoid the security agencies ever shrinking dragnet in the north to ever try to come south where the consequences of such grand stupidity could greatly endanger the lives of those moslem northerners they claim to protect. unlike in the north where they enjoy vast northern population that is disillusioned and angry with GEJ govt, such cover is lacking down here. however, the decision by those churches not to open for services, will only goad boko haram into seriously attacking them in order to drive them into the atlantic ocean. moreover, these pastors are inadvertently telling their flocks that their faith is much more shallower than those of boko haram. |
my advice to jonathan is to work on boko haram members in prison in to win them over with money. And this same tactic should be used to win over some those non extremist members whose value of intelligence cant even be prized from them with all our national budget. He can easily crush the extremists from goldmine trove of intelligence. |
i wonder why jonathan waited so long to do away with those confused set. However, it shows our rigid he is in his unrealistic self inductions. Although, we only blame the security forces, the type of warfare and tactics of boko haram is waging nearly defeated the american military in iraq until the americans bought over those bombers and anarchist with huge sums of money payable to those insurgents up till today just to be policing their base areas rather than to be attacking the americans. the only bombings u are seeing in iraq today are traceable to those who the americans are too ashamed to settle-the al-qeada. |
the real reason for all the hatred from ibos to yoruba is that the ibos havenot recovered from the shock of the biafra war where coward yorubas repeatedly humiliated the gallant ibos on the field. Worse, it was a mostly yoruba 3rd marine commando division was so successful in defeating biafra that it outperformed the combined contributions of the mostly hausa divisions-1st infantry div and 82 infantry div both even hausa led. worst shock is that the 3rd marine commanded division were commanded by coward yoruba officers-colonel benjamin adekunle and colonel obasanjo. The truth is that most soldiers in this division were recruited during the war in schools, prisons. The very few real soldiers were either army cooks, typists etc. Understandably, the ibos are mad that such ragtag cowards could humiliate the prewar best trained nigeriam army abroad trained ibo officers. |
unfortunately, nigeria only has six units of the most armoured and most successful heavy attack gunships. i am sure these six arent too many to be deployed as gunship training platforms. |
If our govt is ever serious about defence, they would have withdrawn our inappropriate alpha jets from sierra leone when it became obvious from south african helicopter armed mercenaries which was very instrumental in defeating the rebels which over fast alpha jets werent. if only 20 HIND gunships were stationed to patrol plateau for a year, we would see the end of the crises there in months. the truth is that our leaders, both civil and military, dont want the crises to end soon. |
the day our army start shamelessly killing civilians, the more defenceless civilians would be driven into boko haram camp. regrettably, nigeria total helicopter fleet cant even cover plateau, borno and yobe in any large scale army operations. |
as much as i wholeheartedly support this sort of heavy crackdowns on boko haram, i am also as concerned of the ability and capability of our forces to be able to both cosistently and coherently deploy the right counter-insurgency strategy & tactics. unfortunately, the most powerful militaries in the world have been defeated consistently by guerillas whose strengths range between 5% and 10%. typical examples are american forces in vietnam, iraq, afghanistan, somalia. russian forces in chenchnya, afghanistan. isreali forces in 2008 lebanon war, palestinian intifadah. i hardly can count any national army which deploys to brutally put down a local and still win the war. back home, we need to follow the experience of rhodesia (now zimbabwe) when fighting insurgency by insulating the insurgents from the rest of the population. if the army is able to drive boko haram from the cities. and keep them in the bush where it would be easily to destroy them with helicopter gunships with minimal civilian casualties. however, the present nigeria military is too ill equipped, ill funded and ill trained to handle such huge strategic operations. |
while their might be some very few genuine anguished criers, the vast majority did it out of either fear of intimidation or out of being seen as been unpatriotic enough. b4 we judge, i think it best to study nazism and communism to better understand why they seem so pathetic. after the allieds victory over hitler in 1945, the americans were dumbstrucked as why hitler was to bewitch a vast majority of highly sophiscated and enlightened german populace even to the last day of war-there were great desertions nor worthwhile mass surrenders. the reasons were largely three-folds. first, the average german was angry over too punitive versaille treaty that ended first world war. secondly, goebbels was hitler's highly successive proganda whose enemies both allieds and germans begrudging respect as a propaganda minister of excellence. thirdly, hitler stoking of the german cleverly against the allieds. and b4 this, the germans were to rally round hitler all because he was very successive in tackling corruption, insecurity, economic probs, infrastructural decay, corporate exploitation of the masses etc with very decisive bold strokes which no previous german govt then was able to match. |
if the level of police brutality is really true, mr fashola is damn too desperate to quell a peaceful protest by whatever brutality necessary. this was, foolishly, even visited on the journalists in order not to make them to have convincing evidences in court. i think the governor has just overstepped every reasonable bounds most especially when the harmattan of civil protests is blowing the world over, he is so dumb to choose this time to throw his lit ciggarette into a dry prairre. when the conflagration starts, even troublesome tinubu whose interests he want to go to the extremes for wont be able to save him. i implore him to continue with this type of crackdowns on peaceful protests. the result would be the type of civil unrest the whole hasnt seen in decades. the sooner he changes, the better for future of ACN. |
we are in a country where nothing works. everything that works is taboo here. |
