Its not true, its only if you graduated at 30,if before you will need to serve. If you wait till your above 30 so as to get the exemption cert.they will insist you go and serve becausr you graduated before 30. I agree nysc is overrated and shd be scrapped but for now we are stuck with it and the rules apply..

HI Doctor Mrs Pharm .... I have a wart around my pubic area for about 2-3years now its been there and growing marginally, I noticed it grows only when I shave and I maybe cut it slightly (mistakenly or intentionally by trying to examine it out of curiosity) Its painless and never disturbs me in any way. But I just don't like to see it there. I had seen a doctor. He was like, I should leave it if its not disturbing that its a natural growth and that cutting it may not be the solution cause there might be a regrowth perhaps a bigger one for that matter. But I hate to see it anytime I shave. Is there any drug I could use to get rid of it? Please Help!!!

I am happy to come across this discussion.I have a case which has been bothering me.I did my HND from Imo state Polytechnic,calabar.It's a part time program.I opted for that because of financial reasons.I was already engaged in a little way that could help me complete the program.I graduated with upper credit,Accountancy(which I can stand anywhere to defend).Now the rector is insisting that students from all satellite campuses cannot go for NYSC.I am still 3 years below the age of 30.I am desperately preparing to go for ICAN but the body needs NYSC certification.Should I go for exemption or wait since I understand the case in the school is still undergoing deliberations.Time is very much of essence.What should I do?,I am really disturbed.Useful advice please.Thank you all.

This NYSC thing. I never did my NYSC, but I must confess it's one of the greatest misses of my life so far. I graduated at 25, but we did a more or less part time program (although we went to school Mon- Fri 8am - 5pm and you dare not miss a lecture). At graduation, many of us had options to either buy the certificate for as cheap as 40k (pay 10k during mobilization and 30k after one year) for an authentic discharge certificate or you pay about 150k to be mobilize ( you go camp and get allawee etc) or you just walk up to the school's student affairs office and collect your legit exemption letter. Many of my mates served eventually and nothing has happened so far. I saw several NYSC certs and I can tell they are very very original. As for me, since the govt never subsidized my tuition, never paid my hostel bill throughout school in anyway, I don't see a reason why I should pay the Nigeria to serve Nigeria. I have not even collected my exemption cert up till today, I collected only my degree certificate and walked away. But the irony of all is this. In all my job search, though they list it in their job requirements. No one has ever asked to sight my waec certificate, degree certificate nor my NYSC certificate. After tests, interviews and all, I submit copies of my credentials for documentation and anytime am asked for my NYSC i simply said "I never served, I was exempted." If am asked why, I just say write my school (University of Jos). As for I'd loved to serve, but I was not given the opportunity to. If there is anything that can stand in your way of getting a good job be sure its not NYSC (as long as you are have the legit equivalent).

Depending on whom you surround yourself with, or the environment you find yourself, combining both can be trivial. I personally know science student(s) who qualified as chartered accountant(s), even before going to study a science-based course at the university or while studying a technically intense science-based course such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc-

I like your optimism, but you will gain experience of reality as you grow..But, realistically speaking, you can make yourself a hot cake, and hasten the realization of your wall street dreams, if you either make yourself extremely competitive academic-wise, or work for a renowned company, earn enough money and hopefully land a place at one of the near impossible schools in the US. Passion alone is never sufficient; it must be backed by a wherewithal.

There are many passionate, overqualified and competitive Americans, Asians, Africans and Indians who will kill to be on Wall Street. Many of them believe that their dreams will be realized and still roam the streets of NY till date, but how many of them will work on WS?

Life offers nilpotent guarantees! But possibilities still exist, at least my experience is an example.

Get a good lecture center.......
Make friends with people that are determined to pass in your lecture center......
I try to look at my book every day, no matter how tired I am, even if is one page.....
Aim for that ICAN prize, because if you aim for the pass mark, you might see your self scoring below the pass mark......
Most importantly, commit everything to God's hands.......

Oga, Save your energy, no today, e don tee wey monkey don dey live inside bush. Those time when you least expected that you would pass an examination and you so unsure of the result and all of a sudden, to your amazement, you passed. what did you do? Did you question the integrity of the examiner? Did you call for your paper to be remarked? I guess you should have done that then. I know how painful this can be. At some point in this professional race after writing only SFM paper 5 good times without success, i felt like stabbing ICAN. All I did was pray and encouraged myself. I ve still not passed it but come Nov. by God's infinite grace, all will be in my favour. So calm down, pray and move on. Life is just like that. I pray God will heal you and help you focus your energy in the right channel.

I wonder why people deceive themselves writing 6 papers irrespective of their tight schedule... Imagine people writing the 5 papers in Professional Level in addition to meeting tight deadlines while at work. I'm glad I wrote only 3 in Professional Level and cleared all 3 even if the scores were marginal (50 - 56) despite the fact that I was expecting nothing less than 70. Anyways, it's 3 down... SFM to go!

When I finished my NYSC three years ago, I was so sure I was going to get a big job after. I was a fresh graduate with high aspirations. I didn't know I was going to go through the painful experience of job hunting. I wrote 14 aptitude tests, had 5 job interviews, I travelled a lot, spending money to write those tests, my heart was broken many times when I didn't get any feedback. Most times the positions were given to people who had 'leg'. I was determined not to keep staying at home so I went to teach in a Primary school. It was plenty stress & little pay but it was something. With my friends getting jobs, I felt stuck and depressed. Today God has blessed me with a verrrrrrry good job, I'm still so dazed I can't believe it. Just want to encourage the job seekers out there, don't give up, keep trusting God and applying. You don't know which one would click. God bless y'all
