Subject: Concerns Regarding Transcript Services and Associated Costs

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing as a concerned alumnus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to express my deep concerns regarding the current process and costs associated with obtaining transcripts from the university. It is with the hope of fostering improvement and enhancing the experience for current and future students that I bring these issues to your attention.

Firstly, I have observed that the fees charged by LAUTECH for transcript services are considerably higher than those of many other reputable institutions. The high cost is a significant burden for students and alumni who require their transcripts for further education or professional opportunities. Moreover, the process of obtaining these transcripts is often delayed, causing unnecessary stress and potentially jeopardizing time-sensitive applications.

Secondly, I am concerned about the lack of an e-copy option for transcripts. In this digital age, where many universities provide e-copies of transcripts promptly and at a reasonable cost, it is disheartening that LAUTECH does not offer this service. Many institutions, such as the University of Lagos, have implemented systems that allow students to receive e-copies of their transcripts via email within 24 hours. This efficiency not only reduces costs but also ensures that students can meet deadlines for applications and other important matters.

Furthermore, the current practice of requiring students to pay for both personal copies and official copies to be sent to other institutions is particularly concerning. It is customary for universities to provide students with personal copies at a lower rate, allowing them to apply to multiple institutions without incurring exorbitant costs. The additional fees for sending official transcripts further compound the financial burden on students and alumni.

The lack of responsiveness to emails and phone calls from the transcript office is another issue that needs urgent attention. Effective communication is crucial in academic administration, and the current situation leaves students and alumni feeling frustrated and unsupported.

I respectfully urge the university administration to review the current transcript services and make necessary improvements. Introducing a more efficient and affordable process, including the provision of e-copies at a lower price, would greatly benefit the LAUTECH community. Additionally, enhancing the responsiveness of communication channels and possibly reevaluating the personnel in charge of these services would go a long way in addressing these concerns.

I believe that by addressing these issues, LAUTECH can not only improve its reputation but also better support its students and alumni in their academic and professional endeavors. I am confident that the university has the potential to provide a service that meets the needs of its community efficiently and affordably.

You need to tell your friends to visits the Passport office as soon as possible to make a complaint and stand his or her ground to see the Commander or any senior Immigration officer. The reason is, the passports may not be ready till next generation, the system is so corrupt that you must always drop extra to get your passport. I did my own last year December and I collected it within 3weeks all because I don't want story like this. Though it was an urgent renewal that I needed and I submitted some document for they fast track it. I saw some people that captures 2years above and there passport never ready and some people also do passport and got it within 2days because they paid huge amount of money.
