bunmioguns got my nomination |
Turbocharged: Stop trying to be an unsung hero. You and your cohorts only succeeded in occupying the progress of Nigeria. That was a total act of economic sabotage. This is the most uncharitable comment i will see in a long time, am I the one that paid the cabal trillions for fuel they never supply? Am I using a billion naira to eat when millions can eat a square meal? Am i wasting 2.2b to build hall when millions are still homeless. Is better you start opening your eyes to see those that drawing our progress back and continue sabotaging us economically. |
Standing as at day 5 LAGUSTA 8 GODSTINO 1 richiez 1 Jossy4love 1 Avast 1 Yakeeboy 1 Lets have more nominees nominate. Will lagusta continue to have a field day? Who is going to be a major challenger for him? Only time will tell. |
kabsun: I am not too selective as u suspect. I dnt want to make mistake othet ppl ar making. I want to enjoy my marriage rathr than endure it.will i be right to say it is the fear of the unknown? |
I suspect Kabsun is too selective. |
The trio are ably qualify for the vacant post, but I think Oloyede will perfectly fit in to the position because of his national network which he has able to build over the year. Firstly, as a co secretary of political reform conference of 2005 and presently the cordinator of inter faith council. Also, his success as unilorin VC cannot be wave away. |
It seems majority are going for the topic, i suggest there should be no judge. It'll be very hard to get an unbais judge for this. More of dialogue with a moderator. |
Standing as at day 4 LAGUSTA 2 GODSTINO 1 richiez 1 Let have more nominee. |
Jarus: That would be an el-Classico. Let's give it a shot naIt will just be tribal bashing and of no benefit to us. |
Odunnu:You dey happy now. let me join you ![]() |
berem: I didnt nominate Barth cos he igbo.cant people just reason beyond tribal sentiments? Gosh!you will be fair to me if you have read the conversation between PointB and I. |
PointB: Shady deal? The man resigned on his own accord base on priciple and integrity, something folks like Bakere could not in quest for power. Do you mind telling us more about the shady deal.I don't have Barth in mind, i only sum the general assement of peoples opinion on this thread. |
PointB: My brother, Nigeria is a funny country walahi.and others nominating Barth Nnaji because he is a christain and igbo, not minding the shaddy deal that burn his hand |
Some posters on this thread make me feel sorry for Nigeria future, always analyzing issues along tribal and religion line. Is a pity. |
wesley80: You do have a very valid point here I've got to say esp the prosecution of the cabals bit. However, my point is the #occupy was supposed to be our version of the Arab spring, an awakening, our own peoples revolution if you like, but it never was because the advocates of mass action never had a sellable CAUSE and their zeal was misplaced hence the lack of unanimity in the support of mass action and that's exactly what explains the present indifference to the pervading situation. In summary, the occupy movement was a failure allbeit with some measure of success. That last statement sum is up, the 'imperfection' of the movement is why we are all human. |
chosen04: @What do u intend to achieve with this your indirect support for full deregulation when even the proceed from the partial deregulation have all vanished?I don't think he is using this to support full deregulation. @wesley, all those countries you mention have one think in common that is not in us. They are Arabs, and Arab are naturally aggressive and rebellion, Nigerian on the other hand are reserved and always believe in the natural cause of things (you know we are too religious) therefore, in that regards you can't compare us. Government on it part acknowledge the partial success of the occupy movement by way of deploying the army to the meeting ground. The occupy movement will forever be a reference point in the history of protest in Nigeria. Don't forget that the prosecution of the subsidy cabal is as a result of the movement. |
wesley80: Yeah, I meant them as well. How "faithful were they"? Pushing folks onto streets without themselves having a fundamental grasp of the core issues. In the final analysis, the occupiers only occupied for petrol marketers and became economic saboteurs rather than the emancipators they thought they were.We can't but give it to them, they raised some fundamental issues which should be look into, also they have succeeded in raising the civil awareness among the populace. |
wesley80: Occupy Nigeria achieved nothing other than set back the deregulation of the downstream sector. It was merely an opportunity for most to demonstrate their discontent with govt even when they knew the policy was ultimately for their own good, now here we are back where we started buying fuel upwards 120 naira and near zero investment in the downstream sector. What I meant by occupy Nigeria are not the labour leaders but the faithful civil societies. |
Hall of Fame: Occupy Nigeria: The subsidy protest in Nigeria open a new channel in the civil responsibility and consciousness of Nigerian. Hall of Shame: Faruk Lawan The way he disappoint millions of Nigerian who has trust in him. |
afam4eva: I'm loving number 3 too.some tribal warlord will derail no 3, no 6 is a good topic anyday, anytime |
mukina2: nope, just like player of the year awards, we know the players and we know how well they 'play'. The members will vote based on popularity and not on merit. In that case, Maclatunji has my vote, his effort in the section he moderate deserve commendation. |
This thread ought to be in the general section, so that member can access it. Will be back for the nomination. |
Who is nominating who? |
godstino: can i nominate maself?No |
