Q46. What is the real name of Abu Hurairah?Eagerly waiting for the answer |
I am tempted to add my little contribution to the debate, both the supporters and the opposer of Maulud have really done justice to the topic,my take on the topic are: 1. With the avalanche of problems muslims (not islam) are facing in the world today, how will the celebration or not celebrating maulud add value to the muslim ummah? 2. The commercialization of maulud today should be totally discourage also the issue of hero-worshipping should not be condone by all well meaning muslims. 3. There is an hadith where the prophet (SAW) was reported to have said If you are in doubt of any condition or situation, it is better you stay clear of it. Wa llahu Alam. |
^^^ i've been following the trend of things, even if i did not comment. My concerns is not to make the argument go beyond control. *smiles* |
Lagosshia and Betathing, gently pls |

Is Zakât a Kind of Welfare System? Yes. Zakât is, in fact, the first known system of communitywide welfare regulated as a social support network for those in need. It is a meaningful institution with a clearly defined religious-social-economic mandate. Its rules, regulations, structures, standards, and specific functions are well-established. It does not depend on voluntary charity, and its collection is enforceable by society. The Zakât system revealed by God and instituted by the Prophet œ was complete and functional among Muslims in the Seventh Century. Within a few years of the Prophet’s migration to Madinah, the Zakât system had become so effective that very few people even needed it. For one of the virtues of Zakât is that in providing for the poor and linking each to all and all to each, it enables people to separate themselves from those social practices that guarantee the impoverishment of some It took more than 13 centuries after the Prophet œ for Europe (and by that time America) to even address poverty systematically with some effectiveness. Not until 1941 did England and the United States initiate a worldwide agreement for governments to respect and warrant the social welfare of their nationals. Yet even then beliefs imbedded in capitalist nd communistic economic theory made it a certainty that global poverty would increase to the civilization- and ecology-threatening proportions we live with today. |
How Does Zakât Help Mold Society Into a Family? Zakât awakens the individual’s social spirit with the truest practical expression of brotherhood. When Muslims pay Zakât, the society behaves exactly like a family, the able helping the incapable, one upholding all. Said the Prophet The believers—in their kindness, compassion, and empathy for one another—are as a single body. When one limb is afflicted, the whole body responds to it withsleeplessness and fever. (Bukhârî and Muslim) Zakât spreads tranquility and peacein society because it secures the weak and their dependents with the guarantee of certain provision, shelter, and access to essential communal facilities. The magic of Zakât is not only that it links one to others by a sense of personal responsibility, but that it binds everyone to the individual through an obligation of sufficiency. There is no greater bulwark against social disintegration. |
Some people are only alive because it is a crime to kill, when has Nigeria turn to Niger Delta country? |
Some people are intellectually lazy, just work on assumption theory, sahara reporters did not report this, moreover, they only report what they see |
^^^ That is the point we are making, justifying this is like justifying Boko Haram |
afam4eva:I believe it is the Hausas that respect their Emir more even with the yorubas they still deal with their Oba. |

Shallow way of reasoning, "because you did it,i can also do the same" PointB: |
In Nigeria, the reward for crimefar outweight the punishment. when an ex militant earns more than a graduate, there will continue to be crime. BHs are also waiting for their largess too. |
^^^ OK, The second jihad is also known as Jihad Fisebililah Q46. What is the real name of Abu Hurairah? |
The former militant now travels overseas inspecting training facilities on behalf of the Federal Government For agreeing to drop his arms and join the amnesty programme of the Federal Government, Ebikabowei Victor Ben, aka Boyloaf, has become a Presidential envoy embarking on international inspection visits on behalf of the Federal Government. As part of his visits, Boyloaf recently led a delegation to Rotterdam to inspect proposed venues for the training of former militants. According to African Energy Intelligence, Boyloaf arrived in Rotterdam late January and has already visited Albelda College where government plans to train dozens of militants. The training programme is part of the amnesty programme put in place by the Federal Government. The programme, which began in 2009 under late President Umaru Yar’Adua allows for the training of former militants in the Niger Delta in various crafts relevant to the oil and gas industry. The amnesty program is at present being coordinated by Kingsley Kuku, the special assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta affairs. It is unclear why Boyloaf, who has no known professional qualifications, is leading presidential delegations on such visits; but sources say this is not the first time Mr. Ebikabowei would embark on such trip. As a leader of a federal government delegation, not only does Boyloaf get estacodes and first class hotel reservations, he is also entitled to aides who accompany him on such trips. Mr. Kuku could not be reached for comments while Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, did not return calls or respond to text messages sent to his telephone. Boyloaf is not the only militant making money from government activities. The militants’ influence within the corridors of power can be seen at the Transcorp Hilton hotel in Abuja where some of them have permanent suites to themselves. The hotel, used by top government fuctionaries, diplomats and (international) businessmen, is one of the most expensive in Nigeria. A report by NEXT Newspapers last year showed how another militant, Government Ekpemukpolo aka Tompolo was virtually handed control of a government agency, the Nigerian Maritime Safety and Administration Agency (NIMASA). http://premiumtimesng.com/mobile/news/3645-former-militant-boyloaf-becomes-presidential-envoy.html |
