Goodbye Goodluck, but Nigerian show goes on BY: AMANDA O'BRIEN From: The Australian October 28, 2011 12:00AM Increase Text Size Decrease Text Size THE mysterious non-appearance of Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan at a packed CHOGM forum yesterday where he was scheduled to outline his country's mining potential, failed to stop his delegation launching a strong bid for investors to get on board. Nigeria has one of the biggest delegations with more than 120 people and its towering President with his distinctive black hat has cut an imposing figure at the business forum all week. But there was no explanation yesterday when he failed to appear for two scheduled speeches. Nigerian Mines and Steel Minister Musa Mohammed Sada took his place, declaring Nigeria "the last frontier" for mineral exploration in west Africa as he touted for investors. Mr Sada said substantial mining was happening in all the neighbouring countries as "big-time mining companies" recognised their mineral worth, and Nigeria wanted to join in. "There is no scientific reason to say that such resources are not also existing in Nigeria, if not even better," he said. "We have also been endowed with the right quantities of these minerals." He said Nigeria had identified seven "world-class" commodities, including coal, iron ore and gold. He said coal reserves were estimated at more than 2.7 billion tonnes, iron ore more than 3bn tonnes and one gold findwith an estimated 600,000 million ounces. Mr Sada said the government had initiated reforms to help break down investment barriers. An article publish by Reno Omokri, where he accuses the North of being a parasite on the country prompted my opening this thread. Simply State your state and it's contribution to the nation. This contribution maybe in form of human resources, social resources and mineral resources. This will also enable us to know maybe some of this state are viable and independent. Success |

Apollonio:una dey fight, don't know what we are saying, you just bump in to topic. grow up pls |
I got you, what i mean by that statement is this. Islam unlike some other religion have standard which is laid according to the dictate of the Quran and hadith. This two is what i mean can't be compromise upon. other religion may want to be 'trendy' and make them introduce some concepts in. islam is not like that. i know of some church that do have 'Red carpet' session for any of their activities. I want to believe islam will not allow that.Wa llahu alam |
Don't forget we also have some ghost Rep member (those that don't contribute, The 'I do' |
maclatunji:This is just my personal opinion as you requested "WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS". My stand is base on an hadith where the prophet was reported to have said "Don't copy them (Yawud and Nasara), if you do, then you are one of them". Wa llahu Alam |

donspony:is that commendation or condemnation? |
It is a waste, it's either we stick to Jamb and forget Post jamb or We stick to only post jamb. combining the two is only causing hardship on the candidate and the parent |

bin gbagbo:I know you are only joking and not to make any enquiries. @toba, sweetnectar - 'violent' talk another thing |
Those pictures are not truly representative of what Islam stand for in term of Wears (covering of the body). there is no room for compromise in islam. |
Zaynee63:waiting to hear your experience |
