A bit of education and/ enlightenment

A tourist brings in money and creates one or two jobs; be it dog walking or waiter....its still a job. The immigrant wants to compete with the hungry and under-skilled local for that job, and the immigrant will not mind getting a quarter of the local minimum wage or even less. This is upsetting to any local labourers because now they have to compete on their way down on the food chain; this creates resentment against migrants. So no country is ever against law abiding tourists and expats , but there are growing anti- immigrant sentiments all over better developed countries ( with liberal migration laws).

Anyone with half a brain will notice that where ever there is an influx of slave labour , standards of living drop just as wages go down. COMMON SENSE.
So yes, we are more welcoming to European tourists than we are to African hungry migrants , we have hunger of our own here, so why the fck would we welcome bundles of other poverty stricken people? You guys overlook other African countries and migrate to Europe, why ? ECONOMICS! They have jobs waiting for them and accommodation in proper neighbourhoods sorted for them even before leaving .

We don't engage in the moronic behaviour of uprooting our lives to move into unknown zones all in the name of adventure. Our version of adventure is getting our visas ( pretty easy with our untainted passport ) and going to enjoy our holidays in different parts of the world ( quietly) and then coming back without troubling our host communities ( too much to ask for from a certain breed of Africans ofcourse ).
