Finally...........
God loves you @Godhatessodomy, God loves me, God loves the lgbt community, God loves Nigeria and all his children in the world.

Have a very merry Christmas and a lovely New Year @Godhatessodomy.

One more thing..........@Godhatessodomy
Thank you so much for this write-up, you've trully given a lot of LGBT individuals hope now that we know that the church is a "homo-factory" and supports us.

I've always known that God loves me and I've always loved the church but now you've made it even more clear that the myth about "gays being demons or soul devouring creatures " is not true. LGBT individuals are also christians like you and me.

I think you need a hobby. Make friends, meet up with old friends and family, pray, watch a movie or anything to just make you happy instead of this torture you're putting yourself through. You can't just keep posting homophobic comments all day long or are you not tired?

I don't hate you nor do I want to hurt you I simply want to live my life to the fullest as the happy lesbian that I am.

Sometimes some nairalanders baffle me. The thread is about a grevious and ugly rape and theft case but you guys just expunge the brutality of the event from the context and altercate about illogical details.
It's almost like rape is being normalised in the society.

What I find disturbing is that you still call someone who supposedly lives from hand to mouth your "oga".
Is it in humility or just plain ignorance?
Please refrain from doing that before you find yourself in a condition worse than his.

Seems you don't know the type of powers that the tongue has. Just incase you don't, ask what cunnilingus does to the soul of a broken woman.

With that said.
Stop helping your friend. He is only an oga at extortion.

I'm sorry but did anyone force you to reply?? Why must you torture yourself and post such angry responses. I can only imagine how miserable you are because all you pick out from every situation is negativity.

Your life is filled with so much sadness and depression that you always have enough to share in nairaland.

Abeg stop spreading hate. Nigeria is already frustrating enough and we do not need people like you to remind us how dark the world can be.
Family / Re: Why Do Most Men Get Angry With The Word " Feminist, Feminism" ? by Olivegreen(f): 5:26pm On Nov 27, 2019
Two words, Ignorance and Insecurity

Those who do not know the meaning of feminism frabricate unreasonable definitions of a feminist.
They say things like, "a feminist is a woman that doesn't like makeup and hates men" or "a feminist is a woman that doesn't shave her armpits" or "a feminist is a woman that can't find a husband and decides to carry out her frustration on men."

While some men who actaully know the meaning of feminism and still reject the concept do so because of their insecurities.
They fear that femisint are going to strip them of the pride and dignity that comes with being a man.
They fear that femisint are able to look beyond their masculinity and stare at their fragile and vulnerable human core.
They are afraid of what might happen if women are given the authority and respect they deserve because it would mean that they too would have to work to earn respect and authority and no longer depend on the leverage their gender earns for them.

They are men that would rather see me as weak and vulnerable because I am female, a gender that was given to me without my consent, than seeing me as strong and ambitious because of the accomplishments I have worked to acheive.

I do not like labels because they always have a way of limiting us to the steroetype it represents .
Black, African, Gay, Lesbian, Nigerian, Igbo, feminist......
I can list many many more labels. Labels cause the society to see us as one thing, most of the time it is a negative thing, when society should see us as human beings.

But until racism, homophobia, tribalism, sexism and all other issues are completely resolved, these labels would remain.

Until my qualifications determine my salary instead of my gender and my achievements determine my recognition instead of my gender then I would have to carry the label, feminist, but i know I would not be a femist forever because we would not have this problem forever.

So until then..... I am a feminist.

Jesus ate with taskcollectors, rescued adultrers, converted unbelievers, prayed for his murderers and loves every sinner, so who are you to condemn anyone.

Bobrisky dear I pray that God would guide and protect you as you have embarked on this journey to discovering your true gender identity. I wish you a successful surgery beautiful lady.

As for the Bible references, I just came back from church and I'm very exhausted so once I'm well rested, I'll explain in details how they have nothing to do with homosexuality.

Happy Corpus Christi. kiss

It seems that there are no more posts on this thread so let me start to clarify things.

@orunto27
Are you the one that is going to write my name in the book of death ehn?? Claiming God's secretary.

@Goldenpromise81
Leviticus should be the last place in the Bible to seek leverage in a Christian arguement. Leviticus dictates the life of a Jew and not a Christian and funny enough still does not condemn homosexuality.

@paxonel
Thank you. It's good to know that open-minded, reasonable people exist. But I believe in equailty and the rights of every citizen.

@Blabbermouth
I'm sorry love but I've been gay for as long as I could love. And I will talk about my God whenever the spirit inspires me to.

@Queenmaker
I'm not sure you know biology as much as you think you do because it is not unknown that homosexuality is a natural behavior even amongst animals.

Thank you for the Bible references but I still don't see how those passages refer in any way to homosexuality.

I have gone through those passges and even more and I still haven't seen any one speaking against homosexuality. I even saw passages that support homosexuality rather than condemn it.

grin grin grin
You know most times when I read hateful comments against the lgbt community I'm filled with rage but today, I can't just stop laughing. grin

I read some comments on this thread and I'm laughing yet I feel pity for these homophobic nairalanders.
It's quite sad to see professionals, literates, grown men and women talk like mindless, unreasonable illeterates all because they are blinded by hate and fear.

Yes... I know that you guys are scared. I mean how many times do you see a pastor or an imam or even a priest give homilies on homosexuality yet they come out to social media and condemn it...all because they are afraid to face the truth.
It's sad, really sad.

Why can't you just be open minded be brave enough to discuss this issue like mature people instead of all these insults and blubbering ?

Only fear, insecurity and hate would make you blind and unable to see the truth.

crackhaus:

I doubt if any sensible person was ever deceived, don't kid yourself.
We can always tell who walks their talk. cheesy

For instance, you have typed a lot to express your position but ended up being guilty of the same attaché feminism most of you are known for. You can't stop talking about Chimamanda.
Chimamanda this, Chimamanda that - at least she has a platform which she uses to reach and touch people. But you as a feminist, what have you done/what are you doing?

We don't know you here in Libya.

Wow!!! How "Noble of you"(air quote)
I am not an internationally renowed novelist or the first lady or a celebrity but the last time I checked..... So are you.
I mean no one knows you crackhaus but last time I checked, you too are posting on this same thread in a fit to try an convince other n/l members of your view on this topic so why stop me??!!

Haven't ever heard of "dream big, start small?"

Belafonte:

Of course, the no true Scotsman fallacy. How novel.

It is clear that the issue here is not that feminism is fallacy or is wrong but simply that most people do not understand what feminism is about.

Once again I quote "feminism is not about man-hating"
Therefore anyone who hates men (sexist) and uses the feminist label as a cover-up is not a feminist but an extremist or a sexist. And I am not guilty of the no true Scotsman fallacy by calling Golria Osei out for who she truly is, a sexist.

In order to move forward, it is important I understand your own point of view here.

What do you think feminism is? @ all anti-feminist on N/L.
Family / Re: Feminists Are Shocked After Discovering That Feminist Glory Osei Is Married by Olivegreen(f): 6:50am On Oct 30, 2019
To be honest, I never really knew who Glory Osei was up until yesterday and so I did my research on her.

From all that I gathered, Glory Osei is NOT A FEMINIST rather, she is an extremist. A female sexist and an extremist who has an unreasonable hate for men (despite the fact that she married one undecided)

Please let us not be decieved by her self acclaimed title, feminist. She only uses the title to disguise her sentimental judgement of men.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a renowed feminist icon who trully knows what feminism is about and is passionate about changing the society to favour women rather than compel them to be silent, complacent, and very limited.

Feminism is not about hating men. In fact, feminism is not centered on men, it is centered on the entire society. We are not attacking men we are simply attacking certain cultures and societal principles that are degrading and dehumanizing women. We are simply fighting for the acknowledgement of the rights and privileges that every woman should be entitled to.

We do not seek a society were wives are rude and unsubmissive to their husbands or where girls are hateful and intolerant of their male counterparts, we seek a society were marriage is convenient for both husband and wife and girls have big dreams and aspire as much as they desire and not just as much as society compels them to.

We seek freedom, justice, equality, love and acknowledgement .

I am not a man-hater, I believe I am not rude, unruly, bossy, or contrary.

I am a feminist smiley

It is clear that most of you nairaland men don't have a shred of understanding of the concept of feminism.

A feminist got married, congratulations to her. Feminism doesn't require women to be single all their life it only requires them to be aware of their equality with their male counterparts.

I know a lot of renowed feminist who are married. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is married, Hillary Clinton is married, Mitchelle Obama is married qnd so many others.

Before you speak against feminism please first of all have an idea of what feminism means and what we feminist stand for.

Noooo!!!! I'm so pained.
I haven't been with my phone for weeks now. I truly wish I followed this topic and pitched in my ideas too.

As you may know. I'm an LGBT supporter, female (olivegreen is my favorite color), and open minded.
I'm currently working on an article about "the Bible and homosexuality" and it has been quite difficult to write giving to the fact that it gets me very emotional (I'm talking rage, pity, joy and hope all at once), it's also much harder than I thought to create an entire article.

I promise I would compile it as soon as possible and post on nairaland. You are all very welcome to comment on the article.
