Before your I-20 is sent by the school, they will send you form where you will indicate whether you will be travelling with dependants to the US.

The estimated cost to cater for you and the dependant(s) will be communicated to you. That is the point to decide if you will need to take your family with you.

The cost is variable, depending on the cost of living in the area of the school in addition to the school expense.

Be truthful upfront, don't tell the school you are coming alone and go to the embassy and say you are travelling with your dependants, They will not issue Visa to your dependants in that scenario[/quote]

Please is it adviceable for ones spouse and children to join one over there? Or is it adviceable to apply with ones family at the same time? What is the cost of children schooling in the usa? What is the average money you can spend on a family of four every month? If you are asked at the embassy if your family will be joining you,what should be ones response?

Id advise you to write IELTS at the British council. Give at least 20days within your test and interview date. I took mine at BC, Lagos. Most test centres in Lag are fully booked for this years TOEFL[/quote]

Guys pls if a school waived toefl for someone based on his academic records,is it necessary to still do it?

Guys quick one is it compulsory I fax a bank letter along with the bank statement.

My husband is on student visa in usa.how long will it take to goand join him over there on f2 visa.I heard its mostly 6 months after he has settled down and has maybe finished a semester.can anyone help me on this.we have 2 kids as well
