Hmmmmmmmmmm, this one deep. May God continue to ease everyone affairs. Redpanter: Exactly what I'm saying, have you asked why it took long?... First of all, must I reply him on the thread? Do you want me to be giving him information here on the thread or WhatsApp? Make we dey reason sometimes na.
I travelled yesterday and just got back 8:00pm today... I left Lagos 1pm yesterday and got to my destination around 8:30pm stressed!!... I explained the status of the package to him in the morning before I left Lagos yesterday, even showing him the screenshot.
While on the road stressed with bad network but still a bit convenient I opened my phone just coz of this guy order, I checked again to see whether the package has reached the fleet, because this package has been in transit to ilorin for 2 days, then I saw that he has already sent a message on WhatsApp I replied, on checking Nairaland I saw some of his messages there too, I was a bit pissed, like why all of these but I wasn't bothered I made sure I take most of the little time i had checking and trying to finding clue as to why the package is still in transit and also replying his messages as fast as I could. I called the pick up station and he said the package hasn't reached them yet. I then sent him a message, he wasn't online. I checked till around 6pm waiting to continue the conversation but he didn't reply. After 6pm i wasn't even thinking about any order again, I was more worried about getting to my destination because its already getting late.
Got there around 8:30pm, immediately I opened my WhatsApp and replied the message he sent around 7pm and even explained to him that sometimes delays like this do happen its normal this and that, I even sent him my location on WhatsApp that I travelled. On checking Nairaland again I'm seeing he has already posted more rants, like its somehow sha. I'm exhausted, I can barely keep up with WhatsApp messages alone, there's no way I'm replying all these on Nairaland today.
My destination was a village, no network, no light, this morning my power bank dead!, my battery at 15%, network is fluctuating, I had to turn on Airplane mode, I had high hopes that his package will be delivered today. On my way back to Lagos still around that town o around 2pm, I checked, network was available and I received his message on WhatsApp, I tried to reply and network went off again, I was worried that this guy hasn't gotten his package still, it was only his message I checked today till I got to Lagos.
When I got to Ojota, I checked WhatsApp and Nairaland, I hadn't opened Nairaland all through the day. I'm still in Lagos traffic thinking how to get home, I checked my mention after reading through I saw the part where he said "thank God I didn't pay upfront" I shouted in the bus thank God o... because I don't know what would have happened if it was Pay before delivery. So I purposely left his WhatsApp messages to reply to his posts on Nairaland.
30mins someone did not reply you are already on Nairaland ranting, I regret placing that order, its not even because he was ranting on Nairaland but the way it made it seem...
You ordered on Saturday, it was shipped on Sunday, pay on delivery. I even told him that his package will be delivered through jumia before placing the order o, he's aware of all this stuff, which other information again?.... Even though I said he'll most likely get his package on Wednesday doesn't warrant all these Show from him..... |

genius43: The pricing is not worth it in all honesty. What much can SD 636 do these days in 2021?
Or is does it still have the best battery out there definitely not considering that this battery in this phone will be at least two years old.
Will I advise someone to buy this phone over the Redmi Note 9s 4/64GB definitely not. People need to understand all this before coming with big price tag...wetin i know self. Redmi note 9s in pristine condition going for 75k compare to this with old design. |

explosiveskull: Please, if not others I really appreciated xiaomi for their coming to Nigeria because I discovered on time what transsion was doing on time that made me instead to go for belgium or london used premium brands such as lg g2, samsung s3, etc. I bought the brand new nokia e6 when symbian belle was still existing but as for androids, it was the belgium or london used premium android phones then, one problem I had then was battery backup wasn't great, sometimes network bands not matching plus bloatwares from vodacoms, orange, etc but I hated transsion right from time. My ever first brand new android phone was the redmi 6 pro, I can remember vividly how assured I felt at the balance strucked between the phone hardware quality, software and price. The picture below is the amulet or neck whatsoever that I proudly rocked then with the follow come charger of the redmi 6 pro. I dashed the phone out but see how solid and neat the amulet or whatever that thing is and the charger is still solidly working as I gave it to my cousin which he is using to charge his phone abandoning his own follow come charger of a phone he just bought last two weeks. I really love what xiaomi did to people like me, can't say for others but I know there are people who really appreciate the influx of xiaomi phones into Nigeria. They gave us a better and balanced options between the hoodlums transsion flooded the market with and the expensive vagabonds samsung and co wanted to murder average middle class people like us that wanted quality devices at affordable rates. Sorrow won't locate you for this write up you did. |

atheistandproud: No mind them jare. Na so people now dey chase GCam because it's trendy. A lady disturbed my life for GCam and even paid my tfare, so that I can install it for her. I did. Can you believe that she has never used it for once. She just wan get am for phone. Las las, na Snapchat she dey use for all her photos. GCam is now everywhere, everyone wants to use it. The next thing you'll hear is GCam is overrated, it doesn't even snap well, blah blah blah.
Na so people wan buy Redmi phones to trend. In Benin and Warri sef, my phone dey turn heads. Two people have collected my contact because of this phone. So more and more people are purchasing Redmi device. Not because they did research but because of trends.
Many people go buy Redmi 9t/Redmi Note 10, expecting performance of Note 9 Pro or MI 10T sef. Later they'll say Redmi is trash. One homo sapien bought Redmi 9a, and was using it compare Infinix Zero 8 last month. Let us be guided sha. Ask them to do research capital NO, they want to follow the trend. The owner of my Redmi note 9s saw everything good in that phone he embraced it and I pick up Redmi 7A since i don't have much to spend on latest Note 10 pro. |

atheistandproud: I am going to be the devil here and say these, unapologetically too.
1. Never buy a product that you're in two minds about. Don't do that to yourself. Because then you'll start looking for the said faults in the product and then later you'll say that the thread mislead you. It's not the first time, won't be the last.
I was reading good reviews on this thread about the Mi 9T yesterday and I laughed. Why? Because I remember that one homo sapien claimed to have the phone, dropped it by himself on floor tiles and the screen began misbehaving. He began a war of calumny and misinformation against the device. Many people who listened to him missed out on a very good device.
2. Poor reviews: May 2019, after the Redmi Note 7 failed Zach's bend test, Indians wrote unprintable things about the phone. I heard even worse from marketers at Pointek when I went to buy it. Did it stop me? No. I had done my research and I knew what I wanted. I bought the device and walked out proudly. Genius43 knows my younger brother. That phone has now spent close to a year with him. It's still working fine and going strong.
3. Hardware: No where, can you find a phone that offers the hardware:price ratio that the Redmi 9t offers. Quote me anywhere. SD662, 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charge, FHD resolution LCD screen, dual speakers, and a 48mp camera.
Check the market, you won't find it.
Does this mean that the phone is perfect? Absolutely not! No phone is. People with Galaxy S21 Ultra dey complain of bugs. iPhone 12 users dey complain of lag and battery drain. Na come small Redmi 9t.
If you understand tech, you'll know that the camera on the Redmi 9t is binned or compressed down to 12mp. That's how binning works. It's not a scam.
If you listen to idiots who are bad photographers then I sorry for you. The same RN9 Pro in my hand that I use for taking pictures, someone said that the camera is a scam too. The same person if you give am digital camera go still snap nonsense.
In summary, since you're in two minds, don't buy the Redmi 9t, go and buy something else. It's your money. I'm sure Transsion has inferior alternatives and Samsung and Oppo have overpriced options as well. Happy Sunday to you, Happy New month. May God perfect all your affairs for coming up with this. Majority don't know what they want, especially in this country we like to follow trend. When i bought my first Xiaomi phone (Redmi 7) some of colleagues went to buy Nokia, that Redmi 7 is still working perfect why the league of Nokia done crash nobody is using it again. Get what you want and like it... |

J0sh007: For someone that was using Mi9t before I find the Redmi note 10 pro very underwhelming and below par. It was a very bad choice for me and if not for the circumstances by which I purchased the phone I'd have sold it off ASAP. To make matters worse the phone itself has bugs everywhere so disappointing. This is one phone I'm sure I'll not be using for long. This one deep gan ni, i don't mind if you can send it here to take over from my Redmi 7A. |
