Kano is way more than those figures..NCDC is just inec in disguise,
The number of deaths in Kano since Saturday alone which authorities claim is strange illness is more than what NCDC is posting nationally

Greatzeus:

Death is ravaging a whole Kano state yet no TV station in Kano or the whole country deem it fit to report it nor renowned newspaper outlets reported it?
See the useless 20 traffic per day blog that carried it.
Some of you are so bent on hearing evil about Nigeria that you have exchanged all common sense for cheer hatred.
Guy it's true..it was on the local news..though the authorities are trying to feign ignorance but the cemetery managers confirm they buried a lot since Friday ...acting like an ostrich who buries his head in the sand won't help in this period..now adays we too quick to label any thing that offends our sensibilities as fake news

You mean all these people that are struggling for rice or justling each other for Buhari bread or lining-up bumper-to-bumper for some stupid #5,000 from Hajiya Sodiq are in a lockdown?
The lockdown that some state are doing and some are not doing?

Buhari is just wasting the time of people in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja with his 4weeks lockdown, it sis in effective and useless.
When the cases skyrocket to like 1000 confirmed in a day (which l doubt because we dont have means of testing so it might "unfortunately" have to be 1,000 dead in a day!), this Govt will wake up and stop playing Politics with CoronaVirus.
Even all those useless Govt funtionaries stealing the Coronavirus funds will wakeup, when their own life is also at stake.

When we are ready for a lockdown, it will be a complete lockdown, nationwide and the Govt will provide the people with money and what to eat otherwise, the infected masses are ready to break the lockdown and come out to infect all of them , wherever they are hiding.
Lol you know that part in green can never happen..who wan catch bullet from one over zealous mopol guarding this politicians..the govt will lift the lock down ..wetin concern them make who wan die after then go die.

Damn! When people were asked to stay at home and they refused, see where they are landing us. The consequences of this is not going to be funny. Firstly, this lock down is going to continue indefinitely cos no responsible government would allow people to continue going out with the infection rate steadily going up. If the lock down is canceled, expect to witness a geometric increase in the number of infections and deaths and this will not be funny. The situation would be worse than that of Italy and America. Secondly, it's pretty obvious that there are several thousands infected out there that we don't know about since they have not been tested and these people are spreading this thing so fast. People should pls fucking stay at home. Those still going out are not helping others.
Go talk to all those money hungry organizations especially fmcg that still send Thier people out in such perilous times just to being in sales...while they sit in the comfort of Thier homes in the name of working from home

ThierryJay:
Tests are key to knowing the true status of the extent of the infection and managing the spread. With one of the lowest testing ratios in the world, our CoVID 19 management statistics are a complete farce!

To put this into perspective, if Ghana were to have tested less than 5,000 people like NIgeria, they'd probably only have less than 100 cases, and then they'd be falsely happy about the low spread of the disease.

With 10 recorded COVID deaths in Nigeria coupled with about 2 unofficial deaths (making a total of at least 12), our actual level of infection (as at two weeks ago) could be around 900 - 1200 cases when taking the 1% - 1.5% average death rate into account. Right now, with an average infection rate per person of 2.5 - 3Ro (i.e one person infects 2.5 to 3 people on the average), we might be looking at up to 2,500 - 3,500 cases currently in Nigeria. I'm not a prophet of doom but these are logical reasons for everyone to take the lockdown more seriously to break the cycle of infection!

You get oil for head

There is corruption in America too, but if the level of blatant corruption in Nigeria were to occur in America, you will see millions match in massive protests in the millions, demands and boycott. Politicians will continue to steal because the masses let them get away with it each time. The truth remains that Nigerians are very docile and want an easy way out. God will not come down and fight your battles for you if you are sitting on the sidelines waiting for a miracle.
It's not about docility..but more of unity..no love ..no common ground..too much divisiveness..that's why we can't av our own ARAB SPRING..with all the brazen corruption that goes on

Perhaps your grandparents and parents should go ask for free food then... grin grin grin
But if you are dodging paying taxes, you should not expect the government to give you free food paid for with my tax Naira.

In the US, they say that the only certainty in life is death and taxes (and of course the US taxes its citizens on their worldwide income, so Americans in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world still pay US taxes). Meanwhile, in Nigeria, if we are brutally honest with ourselves, we would acknowledge that only Nigerians under the PAYE payroll or other withholding tax regime dutifully (even if reluctantly) pay their taxes timely and in full.

Taxes are the obligation of citizenship (or residency). It is what gives you a voice and the moral right to make financial demands on government. In other words, it is the financial part of that vaunted social contract between the government and the governed. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, the oil windfall (that until relatively recently was produced by foreigners) has caused the government to become un-accountable to the citizenry since it does not rely on tax revenue paid by citizens, and has similarly caused the citizens to demand public services without bothering to pay for it.

Frankly, Nigerian tax dodgers are just as societally immoral as the government they criticize. Furthermore, they are effectively “stealing” from those of us who pay taxes whenever they access public services paid for by our taxes.
>
Ok agreed but let me ask..now the dutiful tax payers..how av the government rewarded Thier diligence in this trying period?or Thier records cannot be gotten too abi like those they were paying 20k to? Better go and repent for trying to defend that which is indefensible

The simple and saddest truth of this all is; black race cannot do this without a white race leading that nation.

The problem of Nigeria and other West, East and Central Africa has to do with the black race syndrome.

Nigeria need like 10 million white population positioned in top leadership, judiciary, security and other decision making positions to change Nigeria for good.

No Nigerian born black President or Governor or Senator or Minister can change Nigeria. No political party of black origin can change Nigeria.

Nigeria's problem is not Buhari, it is not Goodluck, it is not OBJ, it is not APC, it is not PDP, it is a collective black man genetic problem from origin cry

Black Americans are suffering same and if not for white man's leadership, black Americans would have destroyed America, France, etc.

Check other South America countries with blacks as dominant race, I am talking about Jamaica, Haiti, etc, they are worst than Nigeria, but their neighboring white nations are all doing fine, why Do they also have PDP and APC there

Dear Nigerians stop blaming Buhari, Buhari is not your problem, all Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria not just Buhari alone.

Like we av met in real life before..I tell you, there is something about the black skin that no matter the part of 5ge world they dominate..it automatically becomes a third world.

Health / Re: COVID-19: Lifting Lockdown Now’ll Trigger Resurgence, WHO Warns Governments by ollypass: 6:42am On Apr 11, 2020
Kizzygentle:
WHO should be referring to countries that have good governance for their citizens in d sense that there is provison of cash and relief materials for all citizens and not countries like Nigerians and some Africa countries that are greedy. The mistake some organisations are making is that they are only looking at ways to end this pandemic and not looking at the disadvantages of trying to curb d pandemic. There is always disdantages in every cases be it good or bad. The disadvantages of what WHO is insinuating is HUNGER for countries like Nigeria. Our leaders are not helping matters in anyway. No relief materials,. No cash fund. Yesterday I could barely eat I had to beg on this platform and 3 indivuals came to my aid from this same platform. Will I continue doing this everyday in d name of trying to stop d spread of convid-19. People will think am a scammer when it becomes a daily routine but truth is I cant feed if I don't coz no food but despite been said the truth still remains that the best way to control this pandemic is still to extend the lockdown seeing how the convid is still spreading but why have Nigeria govt decided to use it as an advantage to themselves enriching their pockets why we the struggling citizens have two things to worry abt(hunger and convid).
For d good people out there trying to help those in need this period may d almighty God enrich ur pockets and keep doing good. There is a reward for u.
Once again Kotun Quam Afolabi, Rahman A. Hammed, Olaoluwa Araoye Thank you for yesterday. Don't know any of u from anywhere but u saved a soul. God bless u all.

There will be people like you that will always be affected by the results of gross incompetence in governance until we rise up as a nation and drop all religious and ethnic sentiment aside and demand better from the government of the day
