Exactly. The players for the awards are selected based on several criteria and not just because club he's playing for won the league or his country qualified for World Cup and he played.

Other criteria includes but not limited to, number of goals scored during the football year under review, number of assists, number of hours played amongst others. We should stop these sentiments joooor.

Kanu Nwankwo winning it then was exceptional.... He was on the verge of career death and was in the news all year round and just after his performance for court try and club.

Moses has been injured greater part of the year, been on the bench too, played sparingly for country, scored fewer goals.... These stats can win you an award! Besides these, all those crying foul, did they vote for him?

I quite agree with CAF on this selection. This is an individual award not a team award. Before Moses can claim the award for the best in Africa, is he even the best in Chelsea? Is he the best in the Nigerian team? For Nigerian players to get that recongnition, they need to raise their game...

I disagree. John Ogu would have been a much better replacement. Like for like, can shoot can make and most of all he has physical presence.

Was in a similar situation recently. Got an offer from one of the top two media companies in the world. They wanted me to resume the next week. Told the lady I need to give a months notice cause I would not want to leave projects hanging without proper handover. Fortunately for me, I also discussed it during my interview. She just asked when I wanted and changed the offer letter to the new date I chose. Play your cards well. Let the new company see that you are a valuable asset where you are coming from.
