For those of us that couldn't write the test....can we write a single mail to IE Recruiter and copy each other.

Explaining the reason we couldn't take the test while appealing to them to give us a fair chance by rescheduling the test for us.

The guy doesn't understand how internet search works....

If he does, he wouldn't encourage people censoring the name of their school.

What does it sounds like putting up a search and posts on Nairaland pops up?

Do you think if the keywords included in the search strings weren't there or censored, (like you encouraged), would the search come up?

The entire purpose of the group will be defeated if this culture is encouraged.

Twitter folks understand the power of nairaland....want to know more about anything, Nairaland has been undefeated.

The guy would even encourage people to go the traditional way of reading Books rather than information being accessed through the internet.

When folks picks interest in a school because they saw it from somewhere and apply....Tell me, will everyone fit into the requirements of the school?

If they eventually fit in, does it ends at when they're offered admission? They'll definitely still pass through the interview process and the failure to actually do the necessity would be discovered in the process.

So, the best you could do is just to keep encouraging people to do their own research and not to encourage folks to hide the name of their schools.

So once again.....I'll tell you to drink water, relax and REST!

I am a huge lover of learning, but if you want to teach me, teach me well and teach me in a superior way. I have learnt many things from Nairaland, including from people who are here to learn as well. Teachability is not about taking just anything from just anyone, simply because you want to be seen as a learner, otherwise you'd lose true knowledge; being teachable is about able to receive and learn what is necessary for personal edification. And you don't even know me enough to erroneously assume that I am not teachable. So, if I have an opinion and another person say it is wrong, I should do away with that opinion and accept what that person is saying? Is that what you call being teachable? Sorry, this is not how I was educated!

An intellectual defends what he knows against silly opinions. That is why debates and thesis and journals and research are the bedrock of academic evolution. I am willing to learn, but not from someone that cannot even coherently put their thought together, let alone clearly point my errors to me.

Go to the post below the one you quoted and see if he has anything reasonable there. He said people need mentorship on how to do their research and wonder if I will be able to do that for my students if I am a faculty. So, I should have said "Yes, sir, I cannot do that for my students, you are correct"? Read the post and see if it was not mentoring enough. The post he quoted and supposedly objected was carefully written, to guide people how to look for schools and funding. Take your time to read it and tell me how that post wrong. An intellectual without a defense of what he knows is not an intellectual.

When you learn something and you have truly learnt it, you can let someone who doesn't know what he was saying to tell you that you don't know it. Then let go what you invested time and effort to learn, simply because you want to appear "teachable."
if you want to teach me, teach me in a way that I will unlearn and relearn what I think I know, not finding fault where there's none.
