England Legend Michael Owen Criticises Iheanacho For Scoring Instead Of Passing To A Teammate

https://i0.wp.com/owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/IMG_4125.jpg

Legendary England international striker Michael Owen provoked an argument in the studio during the live coverage of Leicester City 5-1 win over Peterborough United, after criticising Kelechi
Iheanacho for scoring instead of passing to a teammate in space.

Iheanacho scored a brace in the game but his first goal, which came in the 12th minutes of the game angered Owen who felt the Nigerian should have passed to his teammate who was clear on goal.

Owen lashed out at the Nigerian for not passing the ball but his co analyst Robbie savage disagreed with him, saying it doesn’t matter since the Nigerian scored.

The argument ended with Owen insisting that four out of five times, the Nigerian could have missed the chance to score even though he eventually scored, despite the efforts made by Savage to change his impression.

Owngoalnigeria.com's Michael James who witnessed the argument live on television captures the exchange below.

Owen : Iheanacho should’ve passed

Savage : But he scored

Owen : I know but four times out of five, he could’ve missed

This argument could have been right if he missed the chance and sometimes as a striker you have to be selfish if you are hungry for goals, so Owen should stick it up his azz!

Watching first qutr final between Morocco and Namibia (1-0) and one wonders why African refs are not recognised world wide. The goal was from a quickly taken freekick while the ball was moving and the ref saw it but ignored it.

cheapgoal:
Premier League table topper Manchester City have been enthusiastic about a new centre-back for quite a while and set their sights on Atletico Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte this week subsequent to giving up on Jonny Evans.

Pep Guardiola's side is believed to have consented to pay Laporte's £57m release clause, with the 23-year-old set to sign a five-year deal at the Etihad next week.

The France U21 international is expected to undergo a medical session with City in the coming days before putting pen to paper on the deal that will see him overshadow Kevin De Bruyne as City's most expensive player ever

Politics › INEC Registration Centers In Lugbe Abuja Deserted! by oloriooko(op): 8:31pm On Jan 26, 2018
All registrations centers so far visited in the Lugbe axis of the airport road Abuja are all deserted and INEC seem not to show any concern about this.

I hope this is not a plot to deny Nigerians right to vote next year. All the centers at ACO Lugbe, Lugbe across and Lugbe FHA are empty!

INEC please revive these centers for us to register and eventually vote out the round pegs in square holes come 2019!

This team is tactically poor and technically deficient.
They are jittery and uncomposed in front of goal
Their ball controls are seriously unconvincing
This tournament should have been a showcase of probables for the WC but contrary is the case here.

If these guys should make it to the finals then African leagues are wash!
