A United Airlines flight, UA613, traveling from Lagos to Washington, D.C., declared an emergency and made an unexpected return to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, following a technical issue, News360 Nigeria reports.

The Boeing 787-8 aircraft, carrying 245 passengers, eight flight attendants, and three pilots, experienced the emergency over Ivory Coast airspace.

Several passengers and crew sustained minor injuries during the incident.

According to a passenger who wished to remain anonymous, the plane suffered a sudden loss of pressure, resulting in sharp descents that caused panic and injuries.

The passenger recounted, "We had unfastened our seatbelts after being served meals when the plane suddenly dropped. I hit my head on the ceiling and briefly lost consciousness.

The sharp descent occurred three times, injuring some passengers. Initially, the pilot announced we would land in Ghana, but we eventually returned to Nigeria."

The airline confirmed the incident, stating: "Flight UA613 from Lagos to Washington D.C. returned to Lagos to address a technical issue.

After landing safely, the aircraft was met by first responders to attend to reports of minor injuries among passengers and crew."

You are not being logical. Raiding homes at night without search warrant is illegal. With the level of insecurity in Awka at the moment, the doctor's actions are quite understandable. After a similar disastrous night operation in a SW state,the EFCC chairman announced that he has banned night raids,why did these operatives defy that directive?The doctor is not guilty of murder and this can easily be proven in court.Sometimes the perpetrators of illegality become victims.

The officers identified themselves to the alleged Yahoo doctor and they did not fire at him so self defense will certainly not fly in a law court.Moreover him hiding after killing the officer means he was aware of the consequences of his actions and tried to evade arrest. First, why all the way from Sokoto to Awka? Don't they hv staff in the East they can send?

Second, why raid in the night without a bullet proof vest? The fact that they wore EFCC dress is not a strong argument, even criminals put on security outfits.
Third, Anambra & Awka hv been in the news for bad reasons due to the level of insecurity, the doctor might easily claim he acted in self defence which is a strong point. It's risky raiding homes at night.
