Ghanaian Highlife artist, Mr. George Kwabena Adu, popularly known as Kwabena Kwabena, has joined in on the chorus of condemnation against Ghana's self styled "Dancehall King" for slapping his bodyguard during Friday's S Concert. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, has
ordered the immediate reorganization of the Special Anti-
Robbery Squad (SARS) and an investigation into the
allegations of atrocities leveled against its operatives. This
was announced in a statement signed by Jimoh Moshood,
the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO). According to the
statement, the IGP’s order was in response to the social
media campaign, #ENDSARSNOW, urging the disbandment
of SARS due to the alleged involvement of some of its
officers in illegal activities. While noting that SARS has
curbed armed robbery, kidnapping and cattle rustling
among other crimes, the statement explained that the IGP
has ordered an investigation into the allegations made
against SARS and a restructuring of the squad. “The IGP
has directed the immediate reorganization of the Special
Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) nationwide and an instant
investigation into all the allegations, complaints and
infractions levelled against the personnel of the Special
Anti- Robbery Squad across the country by the IGP X-Squad
of the Force. In the new arrangement, a Commissioner of
Police is now the overall head of the Federal Anti- Robbery
Squad nationwide under the Department of Operations,
Force Headquarters Abuja,” said the statement.
It added that the zonal and state commands as well as
divisions will continue to operate anti-crime units, crime
prevention and control squads to prevent and detect
crimes and criminalities in their respective jurisdictions.

I was in my early 20s, and talking online to a woman on

A dancehall artiste in South Africa calling himself “The
Original dancehall General” has threatened to kidnap self-
proclaiming king of dancehall in Ghana, Shatta Wale. In a
video that was sighted by YEN.com.gh on celebrity
instagram page known as “Those called celebs”, the South
African musician was fuming about the beef between
Shatta Wale and Nigeria’s Wizkid. He revealed that he did
not understand why Shatta Wale would refuse to see
Wizkid, born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun as a superstar. He
went on to indicate that he was going to kidnap Shatta
Wale with the help of some AK-47 guns. He threatened to
teach Shatta Wale a lesson should he step into South Africa
and urged Shatta Wale to ask about him. The South African
artiste continued to insinuate that unlike Shatta Wale, he
was not going to fire bullets into the air to scare people off

In a first for the United States, a woman with a
transplanted uterus has given birth. The baby was born at
Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas and remains
safe and healthy after the event. This is the first success for
Baylor’s ongoing uterus transplant clinical trial , which
works with patients with absolute uterine factor infertility
— meaning their uterus either doesn’t exist or doesn’t work
at all. “We’ve been preparing for this moment for a very
long time,” Liza Johannesson, an ob-gyn and uterus
transplant surgeon at Baylor, stated in an interview with
Time . “I think everyone had tears in their eyes when the
baby came out. I did for sure.” This unique type of
transplant is different and much more difficult than most,
according to Giuliano Testa, the leader of the uterus
transplant clinical trial and surgical chief of abdominal
transplant for Baylor Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons
Transplant Institute. “We do transplants all day long,”
Testa said to Time . “This is not the same thing. I totally
underestimated what this type of transplant does for these
women. What I’ve learned emotionally, I do not have the
words to describe.”
The uterus transplanted was donated by Taylor Siler, 36, a
registered nurse in the Dallas area. She previously had
children successfully and wanted to pass the gift of life on.
“I just think that if we can give more people that option,
that’s an awesome thing,” Syler told Time . It takes about
five hours to remove the uterus from the donor, then
another five to transplant it. The clinical study uses
uteruses from both living and deceased donors. So far, the
hospital has completed eight out its goal of 10 transplants.
And, while three have so far failed, Baylor confirmed to
Time that there is another woman currently pregnant with
a transplanted uterus.

Sixty-eight persons on board a Starbow Airline bound for
Kumasi narrowly escaped death when the aircraft skidded
off the runway when it was taxiing at the Kotoka
International Airport (KIA) in Accra. The aircraft, flight S9
104, was carrying 63 passengers and five crew members.
Five persons, according to the Deputy Minister of Energy,
William Owuraku Aidoo, who was also on board, got
injured. The accident occurred at about 12:20 pm on
Saturday. Prospective passengers on Friday, November 24,
2017, got stranded at the Kotoka International Airport
(KIA), after they were unable to embark on the booked
flight. The flight was later cancelled, even though the
passengers had been cleared to embark on the journey. It
was later postponed to Saturday, when the incident
occurred. Another eyewitness, New Patriotic Party (NPP)
Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, who was on
board the same flight, narrated the harrowing experience
to DAILY GUIDE.
“I had given up hope. I thought it was all over. Passengers
asked to be let out. There was a hole created through which
rainwater rushed in; a woman nearby was injured. When
the door was opened, there was a rush and some persons
were injured as they hit their heads against the aircraft.
“On the ground it was rainwater; some of us stood under
the wing but smelled something suspicious at which point
we were ordered to leave the place for fear of fire. It was a
long way from the tarmac. “In the ensuing heat, an official
statement from the Emergency Operations Centre of the
Ghana Airports Company and the Ghana Civil Aviation
Authority confirmed that only one person got injured in the
crash. He said, “Everyone at Starbow wishes to express
their sincere regret for the distress experienced by our
guests on Flight S9 104 on 25 November, 2017, at 12:45,

On November 7, China announced plans to open an unmanned police station powered by artificial intelligence (AI) in Wuhan, one of its capital cities. The AI police station will likely focus on vehicle- and driver-related issues, which makes it more analogous to an American Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) than a precinct (sorry, Robocop), but the decision to build it is still right inline with China’s plans to be a world leader in AI by 2030.
According to a report from the Chinese financial paper Caijing Neican, the futuristic station will offer simulated driver examinations and provide registration services. Cutting-edge facial-recognition technology developed by Tencent will identify citizens within the station. The idea is that this will eliminate the need for users to sit at stations for long periods of time, sign up for accounts, or download apps — the AI will access all pertinent information as soon as it sees the person’s face.
Automated Misanthropy?
At first blush, the AI police station sounds like it could be an elegant, smooth addition to Chinese infrastructural services. Since it will be open for public service 24/7, with fully-committed hardware, it could eliminate the many slip-ups caused by human workers and frustrating web-based failures. If successful, the station could lead to the development of additional unmanned government facilities in China or abroad.
However, while these high-tech stations could benefit visitors, their creation opens up the wider discussion as to how advancements in robotics and automated systems will affect society at large, particularly in terms of work.

Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) in Lagos State. Mr.
Gbolahan Enilolobo, the state coordinator of the council,
revealed on Monday in Lagos that 412 teachers sat for the
maiden edition of the examination. Enilolobo said the
failure of the teachers was mainly because they were not
conversant with the use of the computer. According to him,
many of them are not digital compliant. The TRCN had on
October 14 conducted the examination for the teachers,
through Computer Based Test (CBT). The examination was
to qualify the successful teachers to register as
professionals and be licensed with the council. According
to Enilolobo, the unsuccessful teachers will have to re-
register for the examination, and after three consecutive
failures, they will be disqualified. “The failure of the
teachers is due to their inability to use the computer;
especially as it the first time they are using CBT for the
examination."
“About three of the teachers exited without even
completing the examination, indicating they're being
unfamiliar with the system at all." “Those that failed will
have to retake the examination." “But if the failure occurs
consecutively for three times, it means automatic
disqualification, and such teacher cannot be licensed,’’ he
said. Giving statistics of the teachers in attendance,
Enilolobo said one Ph.D. holder, 30 Masters degree holders,
282 First degree and 99 holders of National Certificate of
Education sat for the examination.

Hiplife artiste, Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah, popularly known
as Tic Tac, has called for the arrest of dancehall act Shatta
Wale for publicly firing a gun. Tic Tac made the call in
reaction to a viral video of Shatta Wale firing warning
shots which were alleged to be directed at Nigerian artistes,
Wizkid, Patoranking and Timaya. The veteran hiplife
artiste is still bitter about comments Shatta Wale made
about him in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on
the Delay show. Shatta Wale, in that interview, described
Tic Tac as not being smart.
Tic Tac noted that he frowns upon Shatta Wale firing a gun
in public all in the name of beefing with Nigerian artistes
such as Wizkid,

I'm a young lady of age 25 studying psychology at a
university. I have been In a relationship with my
boyfriend for over 3 years now, we always had a nice time
with each other every time we see, though we are not
studying at the same university but our plans were to
marry but an incident occured .
He was in his final year when I was in 300 level and we

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme is dead. Ekwueme, who was Nigeria’s Vice President between 1979 and 198, died on Sunday in a London clinic, United Kingdom. Ekwueme had slumped in his Enugu residence after which he was flown to London in an air ambulance last week. A statement from his family signed by his brother and the traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra State, Igwe Laz Ekwueme said that he died by 10:00pm in a London clinic, Sunday. I was in my early 20s, and talking online to a woman on
the internet. We kind of hit it off. I decided to do cross
country vacation, and she suggested I stop by, spend a few
days to a week at her school, that I could 'crash' in her
apartment before resuming my trip. That sounded ok, so
when the time came, I packed up and started my road trip.
In time, I was near her town, so I drove on in, gave her a
phone call to get directions on just where in town her
apartment was, and drove on over. She met me at the door,
we hugged, and I gave her a little gift I'd brought along as
a thank you for the invitation. We went inside, I put my
bag down, she broke out some wine, and we talked for a
while.
Her roommate arrived home at that point. A very large
woman, I would have guessed her at more than twice my
weight, since she was easily more than twice my size in
volume. She grabbed a glass of wine too, and joined the
conversation. She was pretty flirty, more so than I would
have expected with a stranger, but I shrugged it off. I
thanked my online friend again for letting me stop over,
and as she had things to do, I went out to explore the town
for the rest of the afternoon, only coming back after
grabbing a bite at a local diner.
My friend was headed out. She hadn't known exactly when
I was arriving, and already had accepted a party invite. I
was cool with that, I'd been driving quite a while that day
and was already pretty tired when I got there, and my
second wind was wearing off, so I decided to crash on the
futon she'd indicated was for me. I think I got a couple of
hours of sleep, before I was woken up muzzy headed, with
hands down my sweat pants, one of which had a fairly
firm grip on a rather tender part. It was already somewhat
dark out, and the curtains were pulled, so at first I didn't
know who it was, but I assumed that my online friend was
more friendly than I expected. That assumption didn't last
long, as the grip became painfully tight, and I was
suddenly having a hard time breathing with a lot of naked
weight on top of me.
