I mean u need forum like nairaland which is basically html. This can easily be converted to a mobile app using phonegap. This will make it run on all the platforms like ios,Android, windows etc
Well, Not technically like Nairaland as it is not a "forum forum".

lordZOUGA:
Sounds like you want to create a data mining platform. That doesn't seem social. It looks like a tool for political propaganda. This tool will mostly interest politicians or aspiring politicians. Unless those are your targeted users then...
It wouldn't be a data mining platform as thought of because, the team would owe it to the users of this tool not to have their information shared indiscriminately and this involves sale of user data to Politicians or political parties that might want to leverage on the availability of such.

However, if credible organizations like the World Bank writes the team to have data supplied on some certain Demographics, well, it will be in the purview of the team to grant such request.

Dear @avosoft be kind to check the above named project. Would love to hear what your thoughts are.

JackOfAllTrades:
@op even if you can't say the full idea, I'm sure there is a name for it or perhaps an example out there, programmers need to understand what they are building, then evaluate level of complexity and project duration even before they start. Your project is still kinda vague and I think that's what lordZOUGA trynna point out too.
And lastly a little info about financing is important.
Thank you JackOfAllTrades.
Think of it as a platform that captures the following;

- election polls data .

- public project & infrastructure monitoring.

- Opinion polls on various Socio-Political issues.

- Government approval ratings e.t.c

I will be funding the team as it grows and at some point, VC/Grant funding. Payment for the involved programmers would be in sweat Equity.

Just before it starts, the project would be broken into bits and then scaled accordingly based on what the team agrees on.

Regards

Ongoing Learning

So it's been a good number of weeks now deep in the trenches of the startup life. I've tried to focus on selling to and learning about my customers. It's not been easy but been quite an experience. Over this time i've gained more insights into what the customer will most likely pay for and use. This insight has translated into a slight pivot in our product and customer focus.

Having done all this learning, i'm now in the process of putting a team together to execute. As most startup advisors will tell you, the only roles one should hire for at an early stage tech startup are - Sales and technical/ coding. These are the only roles we are thus hiring for. As we can barely afford salaries. I've decided upon intern like positions targeted at post NYSC grads. I'll train and manage them closely on short term contracts. Whoever shows promise and delivers will be progressed on to more executive roles.

As for technical talent, this will be a challenge as we can't realistically afford the type of people we will like. We are hoping to strike lucky with someone who would have a passion for what we are trying to do. Time will tell.

This week i get to attend the global entrepreneurship summit in Nairobi, I'm hoping something good comes of it. So if anyone is going there, you can check me out at the innovation marketplace on the youth and women day.
Congratulations Man!
I will be following the summit from home.

lets talk about Nigerian traffic jare... leave those stuff ur saying @op . hw many traffic can u get..... i even prefer paying 5dollars and get good traffic from fiverr
How does this work?

OP By the way, i share the same sentiments with you.
Regardless, i think a "UNIQUE" blog that meet needs would sell itself if pushed "wisely".
My fear with the current trend of blogging is the focus on Gossips..Everyone wants to become Linda.

This i know for a fact isn't possible.
If people would put in extra effort to carve out a niche and dedicate time to it's growth just like "BellaNaija" did on Nigerian weddings, then they would scale.

Remembering the wise words of a decent man, if you're too lazy to put in an effort, sex sells.

OP, Good Morning AdsenseMaster,

1. Could you kindly give an insight into how Adsense works?

2. What does it entail to get an account up and running?

3. How often does google pay into personal accounts? Weekly? Bi-monthly?
3a. What Nigerian bank & account type is best suited to use?

4. Which is best advisable; Impressions or Clicks?
4b. Are there exact figures per clicks/impressions from google?

5. On an average, what pay-out/amount does a blog with 1,000 people daily traffic generate per day from adsense?

6. Wordpress or Blogger(although custom domain), which would get faster approval?
Regards.
