Are you guys comparing 100mbps mtn welcome plan to airtel 50mbps plan or am I missing something? Obviously when something is new, early adopters would enjoy it but time would tell. |

michlins: Please people, I need the .pac file for zlt x17u MTN. I made the mistake of bricking my device by selecting 4G TDD band. Now the device is in constant boot loop
I have tried to login into the interface to select the regular automatic mode but it's not possible because it's constantly rebooting and trying to connect to the internet.
I also have tried to reset it by using a pin to press that tiny hole under the device and yet no solution.
I asked Gemini and it directed me to flash the device but without the exact .PAC file, I risk hard bricking it permanently Since it's a new device just take it back to where you purchased it from and let them figure it out before you totally condemn it |

Unfaized: Airtel is notorious for being very unreliable. That's the reason people are going for mtn.
Mtn offers stability, and if they sustain this ODU campaign, they'll give Airtel a run for their money. I don't want to praise Airtel because anytime I do they just start messing up but the thing is that there's a always a work around for the downtime. Airtel works for me in all locations. Currently I am in remote location and Airtel outperforms every other network. Like I said stability is subjective and mtn so far has nothing to offer to make me switch to this new odu. But we end users would benefit from the competition, so it's a win win |

williams85: I don't agree with this, The sims are not sold separately, if you want to own them, you must buy the device. Just get the provider that serves you better. Read what I said again and hope you odu sims are sold through backdoor? I have 3 Airtel odu's, mtn has to have something exceptional to make me switch. Why would I want to buy another device that offers nothing exceptional? |

Once odu is unlockable, there wouldn't be need to be jumping wagon but if mtn provides 300mbps+ plan on their odu before then I would switch asap |

ThaRealist: yes, it has a FUP of 1TB. I was trying to tweak the ODU settings as It is always slow in the evening, so I went through 2.4GHz and 5G WiFi advanced settings (just realised I have been on 2.4hz for a long time ) now I have 2 WiFi name showing - and I did some other tweaks like 5G NSA only , now.the problem is the websites going through before now do not go through anymore , for instance "nairaland" it begins to say site can't be reached ... And connection timed out ... Even clicking on speed test , it will respond with shock error and not show the speed ... There are many websites now not loading up
What could be the reasons for all this changes ...I also realised my IP address changed after tweaking all this ... Reset the router/odu |

Oblivion190: Thanks chief, I had already changed my default login, Also I use the Tkconnect app, I can't find the Chinese app you talk about, can you send a screenshot of the app icon, when I search ZLT on playstore there are lots of apps there Also the option of connecting manually isn't really viable for me

Oblivion190: Need help guys, I've been noticing unknown devices on my Airtel ODU, I've changed password like 3 times but still find strange devices connected, I used TP connect to block internet access to them but some of them use randomised Mac so they connect later again, I've tried to plug any and all suspected leak, but i can still see unknown devices, what can I do? PS: I've tried using whitelist but for some reason it doesn't work, devices not on the whitelist still connect to my WiFi Also I use the ZLT X17U Are you the only one that access to your primary device? Secondly change the default username and password from admin to whichever you choose ( http://192.168.1.1) Go to the play store and search for zlt, you would see 3 apps but download the one in Chinese, then follow this steps. You would able to block connected devices easily even after they change their mac address. The last option is to hide your ssid and connect to it manually anytime you want to connect

NSEstudent: This is assessment is true and I haven't disputed it, especially about G5F being the best ODU Airtel have fielded.
The IDU that came with the G5F is arguably the worst and I don't use it. I instead use MC801A. The Huawei IDU is the major reason I want to also have the Huawei model, added to the fact that I love the Huawei brand when it comes to routers and the likes. If you can get only the Huawei idu without the odu you would be fine, just connect it to your zte idu with an Ethernet cable then you can also enjoy the full features of the Huawei idu without the Huawei odu. |

NSEstudent: I have said it many times that I'm yet to test the Huawei myself. I know at least one person though who uses it.
However, their specs are out there on the internet for all to see. You having the three models is also a good start but you might need to show us the tests numbers. They are all limited to either 50/100mbps So the whole specs don't really matter here but based on my used which I have stated earlier here. Best battery life zlt x17u Best odu + idu combo Huawei Best odu zte(g5f) Best idu Huawei(overkill) Most stable & consistent Huawei I got to this conclusion because they were all installed in the same location. Summary is that all of them would serve you well based on the limitations of the internet plan 50/100mbps but the Huawei idu through the ai life app makes the big difference. I am not at my base, I only have the x17u with me because of the battery life and portability so I can't share results. |

NSEstudent: They are 5. Two ZLTs, two ZTEs and one Huawei.
Among them, ZTE G5F is the best ODU in terms of network reception. I like Huawei as a brand and they have a nice IDU, better than ZTE IDU.
As for the battery, the power banks serve as UPS for me in case an unlikely event like power outage happens. If not, 99% of the time they are always plugged into electricity from inverter. Do you have/currently use the Huawei? I came to that conclusion because I have the Huawei, zte g5f and the zlt x17u. |

bassdow: Funny enough, never used Gas. Last I used Kerosine Stove was over 8 years ago. Even while Gas was supper cheap, continued with Kerosine and when people talk, I told them Gas would still get expensive the moment it becomes very popular among people, and except they were willing to dash me Gas cylinder, I would contnue with ma stove which is what I did till I switched to induction cooker.

jFrankNorfleet: I was just talking to a dealer this morning and he suggested similar to what you did
Can you educate me more on the two wattages printed at the back of the TV in the below pic? Why are there two wattage? The typical power is what it actually uses under normal daily conditions(30w) then the max consumption is 72w(meaning if you use the max brightness, or other settings that can increase power consumption). Then the standby isn't up to 5w. I used this tv for 4years and gave it out recently. It's a good buy |

jFrankNorfleet: Anyone knows good TV brands that are extremely low consumption TV? Preferably 32 inches for my gamehouse. I want to buy 6 pcs to change all the PS3 Tvs as I'm presently using LCDs that are 140 watts which are not inverter friendly Get samsung ue32j5500(it's a smart tv though) It doesn't consume up to 40w on normal usage, at times even lower than 30 depending on some factors. |

AyarmBoye: waoh e cheap true true …where did u get them? Do u have a contact? That's 620k for claimed 7kwh+ but the combo could only output 5kwh+ and don't forget that he also changed the bms at an additional cost. It's not worth it for me though there are other alternatives for for 12v 280ah battery. If you're on a budget it would serve though but the longevity or cycle is uncertain. |

Airtel can be complicated, my odu that hasn't been working, I just put a normal airtel sim inside and it's browsing but it's not browsing with its own airtel sim with unlimited plan |

Tover: I have been to that area couple of times... that is the type of odu I am using, you shouldn't b having problem with it, that is one of the best odu ... Pls answer those questions 1.. what apn are U using 2..what network mode are U using.. 3.. which band are U using I can relate with the issue he is facing, I have a zlt that works fine with a physical sim from my Huawei odu and I also put it in my mifi when I am moving around. I am out of Lagos now and I have put my sim back into the Huawei odu but I don't get past 10kb or at times it just uploads in kb no downloads at all and I have reset more than ten times, I switch between the Internet and wap apn, lock bands etc. nothing works. I removed the sim from the Huawei and put it back into the zlt and it worked immediately(in the same location). I also have a colleague that uses zte and is facing the same issue. |
