The long awaited orientation date have been made available by nysc through her official website.

The initial time table is undated and from it we can gather that the orientation starts on 23rd May 2017 and ends on 12th June 2017!

Although it is not clear yet if there will be two streams because it is not indicated on the updated version of the time table.

Congratulations in advance to the Corps members that will go to can't.

You don't register again, just print another call up letter when stream 2 are printing

If you have found your name on the NYSC approved Senate list then you are just a step to start serving your father land which is going to orientation Camp which is usually 21 days before but now reduced to 16 days.

You need the following items with you as you are going to camp. The items will be divided into two categories;

A) Documents
B) Other items

A) The documents you need are as follows;
i. Degree/HND certificate or statement of result
ii. Green card
iii. Call up letter
iv. Passport (12 copies is okay with white background)
v. Medical report

B. Other Items;
i. Stapler with pin
ii. Office file
iii. Buckets
iv. Toiletress
v. Cooler, cup and spoon (preferably plastic)
vi. White shot and vest
vii. White canvass
viii. Waist pouch
ix. Money (No matter how small)

NOTE: YOU MAY FORGET THE OTHER ITEMS YOU NEEDED ON CAMP BUT NOTHING SHOULD MAKE YOU FORGET THE DOCUMENTS! It would be better you don't go to camp at all if you forget any because you will still be sent back home.

Mind you, you might decide not to go to camp with the other items because they will be available at the camp mammy but be ready to pay almost double of the price.

Don't let anyone tell you to get 30 red background and white background passport o! It's all lies.

corpersforum, any advice you can give. A friend of mine graduated since 2014 and her results have been approved by senate but she has not been lucky with mobilization. Last year her name was omitted for batches A and B. Anything she can do to prevent such from happening again?

The person should visit the HOD and also the person in charge of Corps mobilization in the school.

The annual NITDA-NIHILENT awards held on the 18th of November, 2015, during the eNigeria 2015 conference at the International Conference Centre Abuja. This award held in recognition of excellence in e-Governance cuts across ICT based sectors ranging from State Government, Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Education and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

yes that's true this issue needs to be addressed by the D.G of NYSC.

What are the means it can be passed to the DG?

What will be the punishment of this commandant who harass some Corp members on the ground of security reason. Forgiven or punished?

This is a new topic of discussion last week because of the action of a camp commandant on a female Muslim corpers. I think this discussion have to be expanded more than that because I have heard some people talking about how the solders usually treat corpers in the camp as if they are recruits. This is uncalled for and have to be taken up if it's getting to the extreme point. What are other injustice you have heard of from various camps? Let's us know

Everyone always crave for having highest possible level of education (PhD) but only few are able to get their focus right. I have been able to discover that PhD cannot be used to buy a cup of rice in the market except it can be used to get money. This tread is not to say PhD is worthless but that the youth focusing on education should always have a plan B on their life should they see that they can do better when compared to their educational endeavour. May our focus never go astray!
