Chile is like Europe. Chile, Argentina and Uruguay are the most developed countries in South America. I have been to even deep villages in Chile like deep villages and the same thing you can find in cities is the same thing you can find in the villages.
You are correct, Brazil has more of Portuguese architecture which makes it look like modern Lagos unless you travel to places like Curitiba and some German dominated areas but when it comes to party and having fun na Brazil.

But there’s work in Brazil sha at least in tech. A lot of tech giants are also present in Brazil and I still get recruiters from Brazil asking me to move there for work but I think Chile to Brazil is a very huge downgrade 😂. The only country I can leave Chile for is the USA and even at that not as a student only as a green card holder.
Chile is well developed and safer than Brazil. In Brazil, you can be walking in a very good neighborhood and the next thing you are already in a Favela. Darkito, a Ghanian YouTuber living in Brazil was in Chile recently and was impressed and thrilled about the country, the architecture, modernization, planning etc Brazil is just an upgrade of Nigeria.

It’s the same thing here in Chile. A lot of black people here are suffering. The Haitians that have been here for a long time hardly have any good jobs. You only see them selling stuff on the street and they start running once police is coming but you can’t use that to generalize. I will always say people should improve on themselves before migration cause money at the end of it all is exchange of value.
You see a balanced perspective now , but this people will whitewash anything and even say no racism in Brazil when it's the other way around. Varanba from Ghana is already in the US , the George Family with her 2 Kids already moved to Austria( the family is from Cameroon), another of my guy from another African countries who was a teacher in Sao Luis already moved to the US , Nikki Lorraine recently moved to Ireland this is after spending 10- 15yrs to obtain passport. Brazil is a good and better option for passport and if you have money for biz but not for work.

Interview of a Nigerian banker in brazil. Funny enough, when I was still learning to code brazil was my first choice. I was even learning portuguese. This was way back in 2020. My plans changed for Chile immediately I got a job and started saving money. If I had gone to brazil, I would have still had a good life too like I do in Chile.
For your case , you will likely be working for a foreign company as you a tech guru ,you will be among the few and mind you Portuguese is harder to learn than Spanish and Spanish is more useful than Portuguese but you will need the Portuguese language to do almost anything in Brazil.

Bro, forget this lady abeg. We are telling you the reality not all this human being that want 20k consultation fees. You no watch her video talking about Cape Verde, Malaysia even Kuwait as better options now? Ask Odogwu kiwi , he lived in Brazil before, maybe I will bring our chats sef. Out of 100 in Brazil na 20 they do well and suffer dy dia well.

if you are living in a mansion in Nigeria, you shouldn't be living in favela in Brazil . A decent house in a condominium should be affordable for you .Brazil has her own problem and going there to seek alms wont give you a better life
Maybe he he doesn't mean Favela like that but a middle income area that will almost look like you are in Bodija, Nigeria. There are Estate that you will have a very good house in Owerri, Akure, Ekiti, Kaduna and Jos without having to pay heavy rent maybe 700k a year in Nigeria, now compare to Brazil, if you are lucky to get a house of 1000 reais a month, the area will not be as tushed as where you will get a rent or 700k in the above mentioned places.

Brazil is good for the passport not as being advertised by this current YouTubers or social media people, most people are feeding from consultation fees they are receiving and after the passport they do japa to another country. Free hospital treatment, na everyday you go dy go hospital? Free transportation on Sunday , na wakawaka you wn dy to on Sunday.

If you have money to do biz Brazil is good ,to get a job is not easy and when you manage to get one the pay is so bad , if you work remotely and earn forex you will live better. If you like to have free free things and be living like a peasant sha, no issue .

6n won’t do anything now. To even go to Brazil from Nigeria you need at least 20 million naira now. 1 dollar is 1500 o
I am not even referring to Brazil just letting the other person know that any shit hole he will decide to move to ,even if it's within Africa will cost him more than 6m just to go see good electricity that he may not be able to pay for in the shit hole. Then is it worth it .

Brasil is far more affordable than any country in South America. SP is an international city and you could expect it to be more expensive but if you move to the interior like Sorocaba or even Campinas, you can then understand the difference. Better still,go and live in Nordeste and you will see wonders of Brasil.
Colombia and even Argentina outside BSAS , Brazil is affordable outside Sao Paulo, Rio etc but most foreigners tend to prefer Sao Paulo because that is the place you could easily get something to do if you don't speak Portuguese and also to meet fellow Africans who could guide. North East of Brazil is cheaper but not so developed and the crime rate could be higher.

you are conflating brazils high import duties on foreign goods with the cost of living

you may as well post a ps5 next
Cost of living in Brazil no cheap ,Sao Paulo is as expensive as London sef if we compare the minimum wage and purchasing power. Electronics, diapers, many things no cheap. It's cheaper in the neighbouring country of Paraguay that is why some people do go there to get stuff. Are you in Brazil? If no, then ask people who are trustworthy living there . Stuffs are not cheap , though you gets some handouts from the Government like milk if you have kids in the school, books ,you can get free food from Caritas or church but saying Brazil is cheap na lie ,it is cheaper when you earn in dollars or Euros and spending in reais but not for someone earning in reais .

Look at number 8. It's boldly stated that holders of a student visa aren't allowed to work. I will research this more if I wanted to go to Brazil.
I will go through thoroughly.

They can't. Check from the embassy. Also Brazil is very insistent on getting a job in Brazil itself to switch from your student visa to a work visa. Be very very very sure. I would even call the embassy in Nigeria and ask them.
I think the issue of not working applies to students on scholarship with stipends. Student who are in private school or doesn't get stipends form GCUB scholarship can work and study .

There's even one close to my office that ordered 3 Benz and 2 venzas(2014) all for personal use. He has desposed the muscle and venza 2008 him and his wife were using. Lecturers are no where near broke.
So is it with his 400k salary that he is ordering those cars? That is what a professor was earning those periods some even earn less. Keep deceiving yourself,or maybe the man is doing another biz you are not aware of but his salary can't afford those cars .

With all the taxes he still made all the money in the West to come invest in his tech Biz back home , assuming he was in Nigeria and never left to the West most likely he will be waiting for 62k minimum wage now .
And most of them migrate without valuable skills. They assume a good degree is all they need to be successful in the West. They don't know the journey of the paper trail or the exorbitant taxes they'd encounter keeping them living a basic life.

The guys who have the most valuable tech companies in Nigeria today all left the West and came back home after seeing that they were delusional about their ideas of the west i.e. flutterwave, the architect that designed Google's office etc. And today no tech company owned by a Nigerian has ever been as successful as those based in Nigeria.

The West isn't something to preach about to the ignorant. It's best they experience it for themselves because when they do, they'd respect it for what it is. The media has warped a lotta brains.

It's not about the country you are at, it's about the values you add to it and the skills you possess. Without these, every country you japa to will be useless to you in the end, especially the West because it takes over 10 yrs to fully reap the benefits. And when I say benefits, I mean the exact benefits that it's own citizens are entitled to
