bigass: The way I am looking at Oando. It may not gain momentum as expected. The stock is fatigued.
bigass: Oando is will lose tmrw
Oando will not lose tmrw. There is more to what you see than begets your eye.

Again, Oando will not lose tmrw.

omaojo1: Chief are you for real with this or it is a typo. Kindly review and revert.
Chibuking81: but Oando today low, was 26.74, while day high was 28.07. How come your broker bought it for you, at 25.47?
Born2berich: I am not sure but It might be possible becos i bought some more units of oando @N27 with meritrade today..some pepole didnt hear on time i guess.
Toluway: The last price prior to today was 25.47. I risked a Limit Order at 25.47 and I was Luky. I would have put my limit order at 25.1 but it was too late before I realised that, according to Meritrade data, the last close was 25.1. I should have worked with the price indicated in Meritrade platform, which was 25.1. Ride on Oandoans, It's a privilege to gain admission into the fold. What made my entry sweeter is because i entered from a pull back. The bus can now move at the maximum speed. Toluway don day inside.8-)
Chief, I can dare you on this one. It is possible for it to trade even up to 25.40, i.e 5% down from the ref price of 26.74 but Oando never got to that your level today. It did not even get to 25.5 before it reversed during the continuous trading session.

Again, kindly confirm the price you got Oando today, I think your trade alert will help in this regard.

Thank you.

Moneysage: @omaojo1: I hail thee, Sir.
Thanks boss! An infant trying to learn the ropes.

igboboy3: Is it possible, theoretically, to buy your way into a company's BoD? That is, can a company consider you for non-executive directorship because you have millions of share units?
Heard a certain chief did so at Zenith Bank and I want to know if this is possible
Happy Eid el Fitr
It is theoretically postulated that ownership interest above 50% confers control, between 20 - 50% confers significant influence and below 20% is classified as equity investment. Yes, it is possible to have a spot on the board if you fall into any of the first two categories.

The important consideration here should be translating subject into numbers to make sense of what you are on about. With an outstanding share capital of 31.4bn, you'll need 79.22bn naira for a 10% interest. And mind you, this is just 10% that doesn't get you a position on the board. Even the almighty JO that is the largest holder by the widest of margin has below 3bn units.

Kindly add meat to this your a certain chief theory by being more specific so we can take away one or two things we don't know.

Thank you.

mercylicious: No mind dem, their blood dey hot from d bears and release of result from the banks. Allow dem to cool off jor make dem no knack head for wall.
Is omaojo 1 equals to iharry? Abeg check d Ip add. Still thinking of d rumoured acquisatn of eterna oil.
Now I know this IP address thing is misleading. I am not Iharry of SMN. In fact, I do not and will not create a handle on that board. I checked him out on SMN via Google and discovered that he registered in 2007. I was still an undergraduate then and only got to know about SMN last year.

A cursory look at his posts will reveal that he has interest in Unity and MTI, I will never go near those stocks till death do us part. Unity is poised to becoming the first Nigerian company to cross the 100bn issued share capital mark in style. Unity is a product of "we will not allow our bank to die" by some vested interest in the North and they got Sanusi and Chike-obi to do their bidding.

Forget the recent earnings that was even under reported (they did not include some huge recoveries made), there are still over 200 million units on offer.

On MTI, the company is also another dead entity that should not be on the bourse but for the lax listing conditions that prevailed when it was listed. I had a chat with one of the industry top notch recently and he told me to forget all my analysis that experience is what matters in this market. I agree with him to some extent as some news will totally lead you astray. That is the case with Iharry's post on the news of the acquisition interest in MTI by Tingo Mobile.

I was before the chairman of that company when someone broke that news to him, and guess what he screamed, 'sell, sell, if anyone wants to buy, supply them". I later learnt that he has close to 200 million units in one of his stock account and a better part of it has been on offer with an order duration of good till year end.

Acquisition or no acquisition, do not fret about your exposure in Eterna. The subsidy headwind really dealt a blow to their financials last period and that is not going to happen this time around. Rather, we are auspicious about the oil lifting tailwind. The stock is fundamentally ok and I believe you entered when it was technically ok too.

I hope you are convinced that I am not Iharry?

Take some close up ma'am grin grin grin grin grin

I have spelt Mercy and it is not a recommendation to buy Mercy or Unilever.

Please, what is the business of Mercy and when are they coming with their rights issue.

Great, but 7 and 11 are contradictory.
Knowing you may not be able to deliver should leave you with an "I can't" reply.
