Who said he didn't perform better than those in the other list? His performance might have been outstanding but he was still bettered by a few in the UK category, so rather than waste him, they pushed him to the other category. Why waste a good candidate?
That could be a good reason for giving him rather than dropping him because he didn't pick any FGM country.

Always remember, the helper(ptdf) is at liberty to help however it see fit to whoever it chooses.

You are right.
I was only trying to correct the other guy's notion that says we're competing with everyone from our state. Secondly, I laid emphasis on exceptional cases - example of which you have stated. They might have gotten 4 candidates with the same excellent results, and they are looking for just 3 so they decide to push the 4th person down to GFM. And so many other scenarios. But the fact remains, UK is competing with UK, GFM is Competing with GFM .

That means nothing like advantage for choosing whichever country then, we're all competing with the over 150 candidates from our respective states with PTDF solely with the right to award to whichever country they deem fit.

The published interview list clearly shows a clear demarcation between UK applicants and GFM applicants. This shows that the final shortlisting is done based on those two categories. Though there are exceptional cases were a UK applicant is given one of GFM award (Emphasis on exceptional cases) but not vice-versa . It doesn't mean he performed better than those of GFM. It also doesn't mean you're competing with the whole over 150 or 250 applicants from your state .

Please those that did interview today , did they ask for admission letter? If yes.. do they accept 2018/2019 admission letter?

LOL who said? all that the software needs to do is to take Maths + English and 3 highest grade entries to calculate a final score for the WAEC component. Lecturers are only there for verification and actual interviewing

I advise you to write O level like how many people rewrote to have A,s and win PTDF like how many people did.

First degree 10 marks: First class 10 marks

Membership and Publication combined together: 10 marks

2 marks for each. Ensure they are 5 in no order to get the full marks.

Pray that there are not many guru in your state. If you chose F/G/M, you have high chance of winning as many gurus with great score chose UK

Please are you implying that one can resit his waec and it will be accepted? Cos I learnt it usually leads to disqualification

Yes order is very important. I tried to use other metrics such as alphabetical order, PTDF serial number to justify the name placement all to no avail - I have used sample data of 6 states to verify what I think it is. But 6 states is not enough out of 36

I have some speculation about the order of names published for candidates invited for the interviews but I don't have enough data to verify - so it would just be a speculation. Hopefully the final list comes out soon and I can confirm if my speculations are true

My brother as a computer scientist, I have thesesame speculation the first time I saw the list. Order is an important item in programming.I am surprised nobody is saying anything about it. Thank God I am

According to the last year's marking scheme for PhD: First degree was 15 points if you have first class while 12 points for second class upper, masters was 15 points if you have distinction while 12 for merit, o level 15 points if you have 5A1 (A1 is 3 points, B2 is 2.5 points, B3 is 2 points, C4 is 1.5 points, C5 is 1 point and C6 is 0.5 point), Publication is 5 points, membership certificates 10 points (5 is required) and interview/proposal takes the remaining 40 marks.
But it seems they made some changes this time around.

Please I’ll like to make a confirmation. PTDF has 125 approved schools for Germany. Will an admission from one of these schools be accepted even though that’s not one of your selected school in the ptdf portal?

This number 3 is not true. I was shortlisted for both LSS and OSS interview in 2018, and was made it to OSS.

Good morning... following invites sent to LSS applicants, information is that OSS as been suspended due to foreign exchange issues. This was said in a statement by PTDF on television. We can only be hopeful that FOREX market indices, play in our favour. This is the much I can confirm. Any genuine updates will do. Thank you.

Yes I received mail for LSS. I asked the question because I saw option to change to Virtual location.
Mails will definitely drop for OSS and might have same option!
