Family / Re: I Want To Quit This Marriage by omoalare: 7:07am On Jan 07, 2010
I just can't understand where you got it wrong, the courtship or the marriage itself? I have a similar experience once (not as bad as yours but this is my 6th year in marriage) and when the issue becomes a "public" issue my father blame me for the quarrel ( his reason was "who did  I report her to when the issues are at the teething stage?).
I use to sweep lots of things under the carpet because i "don't want interfference in my marriage". But the truth is I was wrong! Because you are both young and has different expectation from eachother which you may find difficult to bridge the gap there will always be reasons to disagree.
The solution  (as adviced by my father (which actually work for us). First thing, report her to herself and try to talk things over without much force (let her see reasons and seek her inputs). If nothing change report her to someone she respect (her mother, brother, father, pastor, whoever you see to be impartial, matured and Godfearing). As a last resort give her ultimatum to change and inform her and her role model of your intention to quit if she doesn't change for good.
The word of the prophet (SAW) say's " among the things hated by Allah is divorce between husband and wife BUT if it is for peace Allah allows it". The truth is you are too young to consider divorce because you will still need to remarry in future and who says the one you will marry then will never disagree with you?
I wish you best of luck
Politics / Re: Sanusi And The Sacked Bankers by omoalare: 8:38am On Dec 29, 2009
I took my time to read this trend and various comments of most NLDRS and this is my opinion (objective). Let me inform you that I am in a financial institution and knows what operates within Nigeria financial industry and the world (I do not claim to know all but I can boldly say I know much).
Now back to the topic, Sanusi's actions and utterancies are far below expectation and I believe he himself does not realised the sensitivity of the position he occupies. Nigeria is not the only country with bad loan problem, it is a global issue. For lack of time I could have given you list of banks in US and Britain that has such problem and has gone under or bailed out by the authorities.
The simple question we should ask ourselves is "if  anyone approach you for a loan and you know that the person will default in servicing or repayment of such loan will you grant the loan"? In another way "if you are to borrow money for an investment and you know that you are going to run at a loss will you take such loan"? This is the scenario of both the lender and borrower of this bad loan. The borrowers either invest in oil or the stock market and got their hands burnt, while that of oil is as a result of global meltdown the case of stock market was as a result of lack of proper supervision of the authorities which result in price manipulations that could not be sustained when foreign investors pulled out their funds.
WHERE SANUSI GOT IT WRONG.
The best Sanusi could have done is to make the bank pursue aggressive loan recovery/ loan rescheduling so that the situation will be a win-win for the bank and the economy (Sanusi knows this) but instead Sanusi engaged in vendettas moves forgetting that the economy and the masses will be the ultimate loser.

Business / Re: G8 Worried Over Nigeria's Nuclear Programme by omoalare: 8:01pm On Jun 30, 2008
I was amazed at the number of optist in the house. Its realy a pity seeing us rubbishing ourselves. Do we believe we can ever achieve anything for ourselves? Country like Ghana, India etc are not better than Nigeria in the areas you press your fears.
The G8 are only interested on where will they sell their genereators and what Nigeria can achieve economically if it solves its power problem. We have lists of Nigerians in diaspora who are experts in this fields who will be happy to support their fatherland.
Dear Nairalanders please wake up the G8 are not fighting your cause, they are concerned about their investments and economic gains.

I am married with 2 kids and an expecting baby. I've been married for about 6years now and Im 33years old now. I want to stop child bearing at the age of 36years and my wife complains of almost all the contraceptive methods known (we even tried one and it fails). This time around I want to be responsible for my action, therefore I want my wife to be left the hook. Soo I Want to sterilise myself at 36. Dear Nairalanders what are your comments?
Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslims: Are We Bad? by omoalare: 2:19pm On Aug 17, 2006
ISAHO's analysis is commendable. kEEP IT UP.
Let me make a point here, Quran is revealed based on the event and cicumstancies that prevailed at that time. That's why you see chapters like the bee, the cow, women, the ants, Mary, the table etc. Therefore, most of the quotations above does not relate to the event you guys are comparing it to. As to the hadith quoted on the killing and burning of converts, let me throw more light for your understanding.
After one of the wars in which muslims captured some idol worshipers, their (the idol worshippers) lives were spaired and they become free citizens on the agreement that they will worship Allah. It was later discovered that some of them reneged and worship idols in secret, then the punishment of burning and killing was pronounced on them. Compare this to outright killing or enslavement meted to the muslims when captured by the idol worshipers.
As to the killing in the North, lets get it straight that the killings are tribalistically motivated and NOT religion , please dont be deceived by the soo called Mallams. I have a terrible memory of a muslim brother who has his family wiped off in one of the "religious" riot just because he is a "Beribe" (Yoruba). Now what doyou call that?
Please you Christians out there dont talk about Islam if you dont know anything on Islam rather concentrate on how to unite the Celestials with the Anglicans, the Catholics with the Cherubims, the Jehovah witness with the Redeemed, the Adventist with the Methodist and promote not the advent of Gay bishops.
Please lets face issues and not go on sentiments, if you call the killing in the North Islam what do you call the genocide in Rwanda, Afghanistisn etc. There was no time any Islamic group or person (at least in the south) wage any soo called religious riot. Please i'm not criticising i'm only pleading to everyone to practise religion with morality, responsibility, fair play and all the good things it entails.
Imaging the number of churches and mosques we have yet there is increase in the number of prostitutes, smokers, drunkers, smugglers, robbers, assassins, corporate pastors and Alfas,Almajiris, political liars etc. Soo what are we talkingabout?
Let me end this contribution with these quotations
"Seek for knowledge even if it will take you from here to China" Al quran
"My people perish because they lack knowledge" The bible
"Knowledge is the lost treasure of Islam, wherever you find it grap it" Prophet Muhammed PBUH
TV/Movies / Re: This Is your Opportunity To Act In A Nigerian Movie by omoalare: 3:40pm On Aug 09, 2006
Acting is about beig somebody else, its about acting the way your director wants. Its not about handsome, beautiful and money. As a matter of fact some role needs ugly artists.
Guys I have the feeling this is a milking factory, imaging about 1000 people paying 1000naira each.
